On to game 2.

Honestly going into this game, I was just hoping we didn't get shut out.

During the National Anthem, some guy was screaming, "FUCK THE METS". Yes, DURING the National Anthem.

I was talking to my friend about why Juan Uribe. Apparently this guy gets his own chant. I wasn't sure why. So this guy in front of me turns around and goes, "It's pronounced "Oooo-Reh Bay" and his uncle was a Giant." To which I replied, "Oh, I don't care". Because I didn't, and I still don't. This guy also had binoculars to look at EVERYTHING. He even looked through them at the television screens that were literally five feet above him. And, his uncle wasn't even a Giant, it was his second cousin. Big deal.

We were amoung Mets fans once again. It's funny, whenever you find them and they sit next to you there's a big sigh of relief. It's almost like you've found your friend at the first day of school.

The game was going as well as I thought it would be. Tim Lincecum looked the "the freaK" we all know. Livan looked like....well, a big fatty throwing an Eephus pitch every now and then.

I'm not sure why Omir was starting. I honestly don't know. I hope Reyes pinch hitting means that we will see him in the line up tomorrow. Although, coRRa hasn't been that bad.

I love that we're running more. I had honestly lost hope, they they took Lincecum and I was eternally happy for that. The Giants bullpen looks about as bad as ours did at points last year. Brian Wilson is complete garbage. Don't take my word for it, just take at least 85% of Giants fans. Somehow some of them were still cheering him after they took him out.

Not as many people were mean to me. I think one guy said something, but I couldn't really hear over the sound of his team's bullpen sucking it up.

Small "Let's Go Mets" chant started at one point, but was quickly swallowed whole by Giants fans.

They boo'd Livan every chance they got.

Sean Green looked.....surprisingly alright.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Club Level seats for Johan tomorrow. Exciting.

It's time for the Mets to visit California! I'm going to all four games, so here's my take from game one.

I know I said this last year, but if ever get the chance to take a trip out here to California, go to AT&T Park. For that matter, check out Petco Park as well.

We sat on the third base side, between the left field wall and the end of the dugout. Fantastic seats. While we were waiting for the game to start, I got bored and decided to send a twitter to Kevin Burkhardt to see if he would get back to me.

The game started and some Mets fans were sitting in front of us, wondering where Reyes was. I informed them he wouldn't be in the line up. This did not please them. One of them, had moved here from New York in 2007. He came earlier in the day, to see if he could meet some of the Mets. He said everyone was super nice, especially Gary Sheffield. He said the worst was PedroDOS, which I thought was kind of weird.

The "Bonds Squad" or whatever they're calling themselves now, were getting on Sheffield, as they do with every left fielder that isn't theirs.

I checked my phone at one point and saw that Kevin Burkhardt had replied directly to my twitter, which I thought was really odd. He told me he was eating over in left field. My sister and I went over just to say hi (because apparently we're best friends.....), and on my way there something odd happened.

I ran into a couple of douchebags.

Let me explain something. San Francisco Giant fans are, for the most part, really good fans. I've gone to four series and the only time I've ever had someone be terrible to me. By terrible, I mean drunkenly yelling at me while I walked out of the park. Today, someone got in my face, as he walked by and said, "Fuck the Mets". On the way back from not see Kevin Burkhardt (to which he apologized for later), another Giants fan grabbed the sleeve of my jersey and tugged hard on it as he walked by. As I turned around to see what his deal was, he just gave me one of those douchie smiles.

Annoying.

I'm not sure who told the Mets to run, run, and run some more. I love that they tested Molina, mainly because I can't stand him.

Maine looked pretty good after the first inning. He and Hippo didn't look like they were seeing eye to eye on anything. He was down right pissed at himself after the first, and rightfully so. I thought we were going to get blown out, the way he was pitching. But he turned it around and got out of some late inning trouble (kind of).

Bobby Parnell didn't look like Bobby Parnell. I'm not completely sure why they didn't leave Brian Stokes in for another inning, because they weren't even half way through the line up when they came up to bat. Honestly after they tied the game up, I didn't think this team would show any signs of life against Brian Wilson, who is a pair of glasses away from being this guy. The promo they played of him including him striking out the same guy and doing his celebration pose over and over again.

Beltran's slide at third. It was close, buttttt....he did look kind of out. Not that I care, because it paid off big time. The double steal was incredible and a lot of Giants fans left after that.

Frankie coming into shut down the game made it even better. Mainly because Giants fans hate him as is (2002).

Overall, it's one of the better games I've gone to in the past couple of years. Church looks really lost offensively. I'm convinced that Jose Reyes makes that play on Renteria.

This is without a doubt, the worst FanPost in the history of FanPosts. No structure at all. Sorry.

The Mets just needed a nap...

Last game, and the last time I see the Mets live until I goto Shea at the end of July.

Our seats were on the visitor's dugout side, under the overhang on the floor. So no need for sunscreen today (hooray!). The kids who sang the National Anthem.....didn't really sing the National Anthem. They just yelled it.

I'm not really sure why I didn't sit on this side of the stadium for the other to games, because that's where all the Mets fans were. I probably could have figured that out if I really thought about it.....anyway...

This game had the most attendance, which I thought was weird since it was a day game.

There was a guy wearing a Mets jersey that said "The Poet". I didn't get the reference. Then there was another guy wearing a Mets jersey that just said "Jerk" on the back, with no number. There were these two girls wearing blue Mets shirts who kept getting up and down every five freakin' seconds, which was annoying as hell. Just sit and watch the game. PLEASE.

Is it me, or is Tatis just not getting good reads off the balls that are being hit to him?

A pretty good game overall. High fives from Mets fans again. I mentioned something about the Oliver Perez Meltdown: Part 328, and this one guy didn't sound surprised, "Red eye flight. Playing later in the day. Oliver Perez pitching".

So I guess the Mets just needed a nap.

Overall I had a lot of fun at this series, as I usually do. I recommend going to AT&T Park if you get the chance. I mean, you get to see a pretty terrible team, but.....the view is nice.

That's. What I'm talkin' about!

Today's game. MUCH better.

I went with my parents to the game. It was incredibly foggy driving up from San Jose, but it was pretty sunny when we got to our seats. We sat in Club Level just to the right of the foul pole in left field.

It was great to see Pedro out there, and even better to see the way he pitched.

As soon as I saw Rich Aurilla botch that play, I knew the Giants were in for a long night. Apparently, while listening to the Giants station, the Giants have had 56 different line ups in the 59 games they have played. Craziness.

"If Ray Durham played second base for the 62 Yankees, the Giants would have won the world series." - Some Giants personality that I can't remember.

Just a terribly played game by the Giants. I still can't believe Tatis dropped that goddamn ball.

A lot more Mets fans this time around. Probably because they had something to cheer about.

After the Mets at bat in the top of the 4th, I said to my mom, "Okay, the 5th is theres". It really was. My mom did the little Pedro point to Pedro after he hit his first single. It was pretty funny. She also mentioned that Ramon Castro (aka The Hippo....or at least that's what I call him) was wearing number 11, the number that Wayne Garrett wore (apparently one of her all time favorite Mets).

It was really cold and really windy (for California) for most of the game. My mom and dad both kept getting up and leaving to go inside the club level and get warm. My mom left in the top of the ninth. She came back right after "The Show" decided he didn't want a six run lead for his team anymore. She talked to someone who had just moved here from Brooklyn. She was talking about me and how I was a Mets fan and he replied, "Raisin' 'em right!"

After Wagner came in and cleaned up things. We walked up and were greeted by my mom's newly found friends. High fives all around. The walk back to the car was much better this time. Fist pounds and high fives. It was nice.

I was listening to the radio on the way home. John Miller was the only Giants radio personality that talked about Pedro being the player of the game. Everyone else was just pissy (and rightfully so).

One more thing: This guy sitting in front of us had golf tee's in his ears. ....What?

I'm going to the day game tomorrow. So, I'll be back here for that too!

It's that time of the year for me again...

So I just got back from the disgrace that was this game.

Oliver Perez has once again let me down when I goto San Francisco to watch the Mets. Nothing actually too interesting happened off camera. When Ryan Church went for that foul ball (over by the visitor's bullpen) and he didn't catch it, some idiot said, "If he was on the Giants, he would have caught it". Moron. Ryan Church is great. I'm glad he's back. Ollie....well. I have no idea. I was waiting and waiting for Willie to come out

The fans I sat around were all really cool. A father and son that sat in front of me were awesome and I shook both their hands afterwards and told them it was great to sit by them. I've been going to this series for the past three years and the fans at Giants games for the most part are really cool.

This was the hardest walk to the car though. A "Mets blow" was directed by me from some skater kid who was walking rather fast after he said it. Then a "Mets suck" in the parking lot. 1/9 isn't that bad.

I still can't believe they had to fly across the country after a night game and play another game the next day. I think that's just stupid. But that's my opinion.

Hopefully I'll have more to report on tomorrow. I'll be going to that game and the game after that.

Two great games.

I also went to both of these games. Yesterday's game was fantastic, three doubles in a row. What a way to start off the game. Not a lot of Mets fans in my section. Giants fans hate Lo Duca and Green, mainly because they were "Dodger scum" (as they put it).

I wanted to point out to them that Bengie Molina was on the Angels when they beat the Giants in the 2002 World Series, but I guess that only applies to any team that aren't the Giants.

When Bonds hit the home run, everyone went ape shit. Like they had just taken the lead, or won the 2007 World Series. Then they announced that everyone gets a button because Barry Bonds hit a home run. HOOR-who fucking cares. That's all they care about. He didn't tie the game or anything.

Today's game was great. As soon as Armadno Bentiez got all pissed that Eliezer Alfonzo came to the mound to see what the hell was going on, I knew we would win the game.

The only thing that Giants fans seem to be able to say when they lose a game is, "BEAT LA!"

Because when you think about it, that's all they really have.

So I just got home from this game. Needless to say, I'm pretty sad right now. Not so much for the lost, but more sad because Oliver Perez deserved better.

We sat in the upper deck. Two Mets fans (My sister and myself), two Giants fans, and one neutral party. If you've never been to AT&T/SBC/PACBELL Park, it's actually a really nice place to watch a game, and today was a very nice day.

I was pumped, because I wanted the Mets to put Zito in his place, you know, make him see on the offense he was missing out on. I was pumped to see Oliver Perez shut down the Giants. There was only one number that was looming that I had looked at before I went to the game: Rich Aurilla. I believe he had three homers against Ollie, but even then, I wasn't that worried.

The game was going rather smoothly. I was in a section with a decent amount of Mets fans. When we finally scored in the top of the fifth, I thought to myself, "Here we go". Sadly, I was wrong.

Bottom of the fifth was a complete nightmare. I think, that's the only way you can put it. I was in the upper deck, just between third base and home plate, and I can tell you that ball NEVER went out. I'm pretty sure a fan might have even got his fat Barry Bonds loving hand in that play somewhere. But, that ball never went out. Because, balls that are usually hit for home runs, don't fall back onto the outfield grass. There was no replay shown in the stadium. Not once.

So I knew what was coming up, Oliver Perez Meltdown Part II (or III). He was even pitching decently after the "home run". Even though he did give up a hit to Barry Zito, which we did get a replay of. This was the first of many replays that they would show on their shiny new HD jumbotron. Zito's single, Green's Error, a bird flying by, a kid eating cotton candy. Replays for everything ever, with the exception of the "home run".

Easley's error wasn't that bad (I'm not saying errors are ever good...), but Green's error was the nail in the coffin. I think the Molina brothers become MVP players when they play against us.

Anyhow, after that inning, all the Giants fans got incredibly big egos. This one girl sitting in front of me was a Mets fan and she said, "COME ON METS! YOU CAN DO IT!!" and this old bitch turned around and said, "No, they can't."

Then above me, apparently a comedy club had opened up. This girl was, I guess, doing her best impression of a heckler. I believe her first joke went a little something like this, "Hey Easley, you could....EASILY mess up this inning." To which I replied, very loudly, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! WOW."

That's not all. Moises Alou: "Hey Moises....you're...ALOUser!" Which, was another funny thing. Alou got booed when his name was announced. I thought that was rather odd. David Wright: "Hey David Wright....you're...not doing things that way...because you are Wrong."

Word for word, the worst heckling I have ever heard.

So we tried to mount a comeback, if only that ball had gone over Linden's head. Half the crowd left as soon as they saw Barry Bonds was out of the game, which is pretty much the case with all Giants games.

After the game, I was really hoping there was a back door I could find and get out without anyone seeing me, but I didn't need one. Not one person said a single thing to me. I was really impressed. Unlike when the Mets played the A's three years ago and as I was leaving the entire stadium, I kid you not, chanted, "Fuck New York!" There were a lot of Mets fans saying, "We'll get 'em tomorrow!" Which I hope we do, because I'm going to that game too. This old lady was singing "Tomorrow" from Annie. "Tomorrow, tomorrow, we'll get 'em tomorrow" and she looked at me with a smile.

"Lady," I said, "You're the happiest Mets fan ever right now."

Tomorrow....
