Windy City Gridiron Would Julius Peppers be here if Gaines Adams still was?

Now I understand that the unexpected death of Gaines Adams was an unfortunate, incredibly sad event to his family, friends, and the organization.  However, just looking at the loss of Gaines Adams in purely a football aspect, did it open the door for Chicago to bring in Julius PeppersJerry Angelo, Lovie Smith, and the rest of the Bears organization was very high on Gaines entering this season and expected him to start and excel.  He and Peppers play the same position.  It doesn't seem realistic to think Angelo would have went out and spent big money on a player when they already traded their highest pick entering this off-season on that same position.  According to an article i found, when an NFL player dies while still under contract, the team  has no obligation to pay the remainder of his contract, which gave the Bears some extra money to spend this off-season.  So i ask the hypothetical question, would the Bears be better off entering the season with Gaines Adams and the 91.5 million dollars that could have been spent on other needs or Julius Peppers?

Windy City Gridiron Does Chicago Have a New Top Dog?

Free agent running back acquisition Chester Taylor.

as most of us know now, Jerry Angelo recently handed Mike Martz an interesting new toy, Chester Taylor.  The question I have is who should get the majority of the touches, Matt Forte or Chester Taylor.  After comparing the two side-by-side,

Matt Forte's Rushing  and  Recieving Stats

Anyone can see its a difficult decision, but one, I'm sure, Martz and Da Bears are going to love to have.

The fact that Matt Forte's rushing Average per carry has never topped 4 yards and Chester's has topped 4 ypc six out of his 8 years in the league is one reason why I feel Chester Taylor should get the majority of the carries.  Also, at this stage in Taylor's career he is a much accomplished blocker which is a major asset the bears need because we all know how poor the Bear's O-Line is.  The Chicago Bears are going to only go as far as Jay Cutler's arm can take them so the back that will stick his neck between the blitzing backer and Jay should be on the field the majority of the time.  I think Mike Martz, Jay Cutler, and the Chicago Bears are going to love the new piece Jerry handed them recently.
