It can be a long drive... well... it can suck sitting in traffic. It can be easy to get a little discouraged on a long drive to an away (or neutral) game. I remember last year going to Jacksonville, we were running a little late and we were a little lost and it just kinda sucked.

Anyway, I say all that to say this: Post some good driving music that will also help get us pumped for the game.

I know everyone here is saying that 7 or 8 wins would be sufficient and expected. However, I was watching last year's UGA-UA game on ESPNU and I got to thinking. Looking at our schedule, the games we are expected to lose are Clemson, UGA, UT, LSU and AU. That would put us at 7-5. Now I'm not trying to be a crazy fan, I understand that you can't build a program overnight. That said, I will be disappointed if we don't win at least 8 games, preferably 9. (more than the disappointment that generally follows every loss)

First just let me say, I don't see us losing to Auburn, not again, we just can't. We are going to be at BDS, Auburn is going to roll in all big headed holding up 7 fingers and I know we will just want it more.

Also, every game we lost last year, we lost by a touchdown or less. We took UGA into overtime, we played LSU very close up until the end. We are better this year. I just know that we will win another game we arn't expected to (in addition to the Barn).

LSU will be very winable with the big question mark at QB, not to mention they are being coached by a high-functioning retard.

UGA has a killer schedule, and they are bound to slip up sometime. They will be playing us between Arizona State and Tennessee and I can't help but hope that they look ahead.

I know I am going out on a limb... maybe I'm just ready for football, but I just can't expect my Tide to lose 5 games this year, or ever.

(also I wanna say I told you so when we win the national championship this year :-P)

Downtown Pub bathroom wall

I was visiting the local Downtown Pub in historic downtown Tuscaloosa this past weekend, and on one of my frequent stops at their bathroom I noticed that someone had scratched www.rollbamaroll.com into the wall. I'm not sure who did it, or how long it has been there, but thanks for giving me a laugh.

Also (since this has to be at least 75 words long) has anybody else had any roll bama roll sightings in bathrooms? If so, please share.

Who did the 'why i love the crimson tide' post

I remember reading a post a while back about 'Why I love the Crimson Tide', and as sports editor of the yearbook at Alabama I was wondering if I could use that in the yearbook. It was either Nico or Todd.

Anyway, if you could send me an email sometime today, then I would greatly appreciate it. We would need a picture and you could probably get a free yearbook out of it. Thanks.

Alabama moves up to #2 in Rivals.com recruiting class

I was getting on today to check the rating of a local high school player and I noticed that Alabama who had previously been ranked 3rd, has moved up a spot by jumping Georgia. So yay us. Its great to see Nick Saban bring in the talent.

Oh, and www.scout.com has us at #4 behind ND, UGA and 'the U'.

Gameday Sign Ideas

Me and one of my roommates are planning on going to try and hold up a sign for gameday on the quad, but I'm having a slight case of sign-idea 'block'.

If any of you have any great ideas, feel free to shoot them my way, I would prefer something that bashes Corso and or praises one of our players.

Or something involving michael vick.

espn's defining 100 plays of college football

Espn's website has begun the undertaking of listing some of the defining plays of college football. they haven't finished they still have 40 more plays, but there are some pretty good plays, such as steve spurrier's punt to beat auburn 24-27, george teague's strip, punt bama punt, and as to be expected more notre dame plays then i know what to do with, but over all it is an entertaining read.

Not just a football school

Our quiz bowl team is currently (2-0) with a win over Toronto 265 - 60 and a win over University of Tennessee in Chatanooga 170 - 80

Next up is Va Tech, Valencia Community College, Oklahoma, Dartmouth, and Cloud County Community College in that order.

After this round robin, there will be a play off.
