I'm a student at the UofO. I want to become a sports reporter when I get into my career. I'm from Sacramento, California so I love the Kings and 49ers but when it comes to college games I am a die hard Duck fan. College basketball is my favorite sport to watch. I enjoy making videos. I have a few on youtube. The link is posted below. Please look at them and leave some comments and ratings. Thanks a lot.

Online Dynasty
So I looked into making an online dynasty for NCAA Football 2010. First off, I need to know who wants to do it. Second, what is your gamertag. Third, we can only have up to 11 people in one dynasty. So first come first serve. I was planning on starting it soon, but if we want to wait a little bit, I am cool with that too. Just let me know if you want to do it. My gamertag is jojoskinner So either add me or just leave yours in the comments below.

NCAA football 2010
NCAA football 2010 came out today. I got it! Oregon is ranked 12th and Blount is a freaking beast, which I like. Feel free to add me as a friend on Xbox live. Jojoskinner I have just barely played the game, but so far I like it a lot. We have 13 different preset uniform combos with more when you customize them. It's pretty sweet with the bells and whistles that they have added to make it more realistic.

NCAA basketball 2009
Did anyone else buy the game? I want to know your thoughts on the game.
It bothers me the lack of accuracy in the Ducks roster. I think there are 5 players in the game that have diffferent numbers than in real life. I also think our rating is a little high. I wish they would publish a roster like in NCAA Football 09 so when you play online you have the names of the players.

UO vs Northern Colorado
I went to the first half of this game and watched the second half at home on my tv.
Let me just say I believe Northern Colorado can very well make the NCAA tournament by winning their conference. They are a decent team. They should have won this game. The refs made some horrific calls against them early and often. I don't normally like to criticize refs but at one point the team foul difference was 7 to 1 in our favor in the first half. That being said, I said just last week that UO could very well still finish in the top 5 of the Pac-10. Why didn't anyone tell me I was on drugs or something? The Ducks did not play well enough tonight to prove to me that they will finish in the top 5 of the Pac-10.
Sorry for the little rant...but they are some very good things to take away from the game.
1. Kam Brown actually shot the ball more than once. He looked very aggressive offensively while staying under control, which was a great sign to see. He looked a lot like a more athletic Greg Paulus when he first got to Duke. Brown did not shoot particularly well (I think like 2-7 or 3-8 not exactly sure the stat). The good thing about his shot is that it is very smooth looking and with shooting the ball more in practice and in games he will make the jumpers he missed tonight.
2. The game was very sloppy and scrappy on all sides of the ball. That should help us because of our style of play. As much as I hate watching sloppy basketball, it might be the way we have to play in order to contend.
3. TP should never have to play the point again because of the way Kam Brown and Sim have been playing. I feel more comfortable with them controlling the ball and watching TP run off screens and catching and shooting the ball quickly like his freshman year. He didn't do it much in tonight's game, but it would be nice to see it in the next game.
4. Going back to the scrappy and sloppiness of the game, our team defense played well. We will need to play well defensively to keep us in games because we are not going to be scoring 100 points a game offensively like in years past. We simply do not have the firepower to do so.
The biggest downside this year other than experience is the like of a go to guy or guys like in the past two years with Aaron Brooks and Malik, Maarty and Bryce.

I know no one cares but
We may not be the biggest volleyball fans, nor talk it often, but any team representing our university well deserves front page recognition --Dave
The University of Oregon women's volleyball team is 7th in the country right now after beating UCLA and USC over the weekend who were the number 5 and 4 teams in the country. To add their great weekend, junior outside hitter Sonja Newcombe was named Pac-10 player of the week. I'm just saying that right now it might be more fun to watch the volleyball team compete for a national championship because we know that right now our football team has no chance.

Bellotti third best Pac-10 Coach and Autzen number 9
Ted Miller went in depth about ranking the Pac-10 coaches from top to bottom.
I agree with him that Pete Carrol is the obvious choice for the number one coach in the Pac-10. I personally don't have much respect for Dennis Erickson because of how bad of job he did for the 49ers. As far as college goes he picks up a good amount of wins every year. I just don't see how he is better than Bellotti maybe that is just my bias. Bellotti is third followed by Tedford from Cal and then Riley at OSU. I also know about Rick Neuheisel's at UW, but I don't see him making a impact that quickly at UCLA. USC has all the recruiting power down in Southern California and the rest of the country.
Ted Miller wrote another article about MIke Stoops and Ty Willingham being on the hot seat in the Pac-10. I think Stoops is done after this yer unless he puts together a nice bowl run. I don't think Willingam has to make it to a bowl game this year for him to keep his job. UW starts the season with UO, BYU and Oklahoma. I believe the Huskies will start 0 and 3 but if those games are close and UW gets within a game of making a bowl game I think UW will give Willingham one more year at least. Just my opinion though.
I just came across this because I have no life other than surf the web about Oregon. Autzen is ranked #9 amonst toughest places to play. Michigan is 8. What the hell? Michigan should not even be mentioned in the top 10 after what happened last year.

New spirit t-shirt
Check out the new spirit shirt for the upcoming football season. They go on sale today.
Coach's preseason poll
It can be found here
Georgia is number one follwed by USC and Ohio State. I think it is interesting Florida is ranked so high despite the bad year , in Florida's standard, they had last year. Only three Pac-10 teams made the list topped with USC at 2, ASU at 16 and Oregon at 20.
| 1. | Georgia (22) | 0-0 | 1438 | |
| 2. | USC (14) | 0-0 | 1430 | |
| 3. | Ohio State (14) | 0-0 | 1392 | |
| 4. | Oklahoma (3) | 0-0 | 1329 | |
| 5. | Florida (5) | 0-0 | 1293 |

new video screen
We are in the process of updating to a new video screen at Autzen. Rob Mosely also has an update about the size and dimensions here. Apparently, OSU has been saying their scoreboard is the biggest in the Pac-10 and this screen is supposed to surpass theirs by a lot.
Is the new screen really necessary? I know the audio is not very clear compared to other stadiums. I personally think the new screen will look sick for the pregame video, but other than that I don't really look at the screen very often (maybe once or twice during a game) to see a replay.

Ryan Anderson pro ready?
The Sacramento Bee has a nice article about Ryan Anderson. Scott Howard-Cooper evaluates Anderson and sees if Ryan Anderson is pro ready. Cooper also goes into detail about the hard decision that goes into deciding whether or not to stay in school or go to the NBA. These articles are always interesting because it is a life decision for these players and anything can happen at anytime.
This could be a big deal in the Pac-10 next year because he is one of the best players in the Pac-10 and the country.
Let me know what you think about Ryan Anderson. Is he pro ready? Should he stay in school for another year? Let me know your thoughts.
