Ok straight to business. Mock draft time up to the 8th pick.
1. Rams should take Bradford. If they take Suh he will be good but they will have taken a lineman 4 years in a row. They havent taken a qb in the 1st in like 25 years. If Bradford checks out medically he will be the pick. No matter how many double teams suh will take.
2. Lions will take Suh. Jim Swartz sees him as Albert Haynesworth jr., who was the key to their defense when they were rockin everybody that one year.
3. Tampa Bay. Gerald mccoy is their boy. Eric berry is a possibility, but mccoy is the 1A to Suhs no. 1 rating. A great penetrator like warren sapp was.
4. Washington would have taken bradford here, but hes gone, so its either an OT which they dont have any good ones or its a DE. Those are the highest rated players who are available here. So the pick could be any of the following-Russel Okung, Brian Bulaga, Anthony Davis, Jason Pierre Paul, the dude from ga tech, carlos dunlap. This pick may be high for some of these dudes, but you and i know once a few DEs or OTs start going in the 1st round, then everybody starts taking them. The pick I think is brian bulaga. OT from Iowa. Punishing run blocker who has great leverage. Should step in day one and contribute for shanahan.
5. Cheifs will take eric berry. Best non lineman in this draft. Done deal. Scott pioli says its a no brainer.
6. Seattle has some options, but Walter jones isnt getting any younger and jimmy clausen is way to high to be picked here. Pick should be Russel okung.
7. Breaks my heart but the browns take joe haden. I really want joe haden opposite nnamdi so we can get chris johnson outta there. But eric magini takes him thinking he will be the next darrelle revis.
8. And its time for our boys. I heard taylor mays. We have enough box safties. And i dont care if he ran 4.1 at his pro day. Jimmy clausen and golden tate made him look like a fool all day in the ND and USc game. he just lays the wood and if its thrown right to him he can catch it. top 10 player when it comes to athletisicm. 3rd rounder for coverage and awareness. But then again all you need is a fast 40 and your a riader right? lol. I also heard rolano mcclain at MLB. Am i the only dude that like morrison in the middle? I guess so. the raider dont even like him. a 3rd round tender for him while a 1st and a 3rd for STANFORD ROUTT'S CONSITENTLY TOASTED ASS?!? Well the raiders do what the raiders do. But mcclain is too high here. Anthony davis is my 2nd choice. Athletic guy who should start at RT over cornell greens terrible self. And i like carlos dunlap and jason pierre paul too, but if its gonna be a DE at 8 i would take the GA tech dude. hes my favorite, even if i cant remember his name. lol
FA wise i think we should cut gerard warren, chris johnson, routt (too late), JAMARCUS RUSSELL, javon walker, and yeah its breaks my heart but justin fargas too.
And as for the spelling errors. Whatever. this is an informational and opnionated discussion post. Not my senior thesis. Thanks everybody. Comment all you want. But you better back up what you say because i have been know to start some feuds. I am a notorious comment-er-backer. lol.
My thoughts on the NFL, and other stuff...
Ok so im not peter king, but i like his format and i have alot to talk about...
1. Donte Stallworth should not get more than 30 days in jail. There are several reasons why-
a. He was drunk, but he was not driving over the speed limit, flashed his lights at the man before at enough distance for him to react, and hit the man while he was jay walking.
b. Donte has been overly proactive to solve this issue from day 1.
c. The family of the deceased is completely content with the sentence, so why should we not be? The family has reached a settlement that will pay for all of their children's college tuition and then some, and the family realizes that whats the difference in their lives if Donte were to stay 30 days as opposed to 2 years? Nothing. The family also realizes that Donte was not at complete fault, and with the effort he put into solving the issue, realize that this is not a bad man.
When the newspaper report this issue, they say it like this "DONTE STALLWORTH GETS 30 DAYS FOR DUI MANSLATER" like he got off easy. What they won't print is the amount of money he gave, that he was not at complete fault, that he probably will lose 5 million plus dollars from his suspension(most likely for the entire upcoming season), and has given up his right do drive for all eternity. Yes that is correct. His license will be permanently suspended upon his choice as to satisfy the family and courts. He will also be under 2 years house arrest and 8 years probation. People will say that this is about money and "he got off easy because he is rich." I will say that this IS about money, but it is also about the money he lost and will lose in the future. He has money, and that means he can take more proactive measures to satisfy the family of the victim. Again the family realizes that they have lost there father for which they can never replace, but they knew that this man is not a criminal and that he can secure their family as much as possible in a very insecure time. And again, they know that if Donte Stallworth were to spend 2 years in jail as opposed to the 30 days, and he didn't suspend his license for eternity and give the family a large amount of money, what would be the difference in their lives? A good man would go to jail and they would receive no benefits. The family may never forgive Donte, but they know that he was willing to do whatever it takes to make up for it. The newspaper should have put this as their headline "DONTE STALLWORTH HITS A MAN WHO JUMPED INTO TRAFFIC" but that doesn't sell as many newspaper. (Please read the entire thought and not just the highlights before you jump all over me or agree with me)
2. Is it just me or are the Redskins and the Texans about to explode this next year and be dominant? The Redskins have the most untalked about superstar in the league in Albert Haynesworth. As soon as he signed the contract, we all talked about him for like 5 days, then his name disappeared from the papers. Why? Because of TO and Brett Favre. Those are sexier stories. But you add a player who almost won the NFL MVP as a DT to the 4th best defense in football, and you have your rookie receivers more refined in their abilities, and a top tier running back and tight end on offense, then how is this not a wild card possibility team? The Eagles are loaded, and the Giants are always tough, but I think that is why this division will have 3 teams in the playoffs just like a couple years ago. As for the Texans, this team is gonna be scary on defense with amobe akoye, mario williams, and antonio smith coming off the edge, brian cushing and demeco ryans backing them up, even the Cincy guy playing both linebacker and defensive end. And on offense, this is only the no. 3 overall team in the league. I know most of you guys didn't realize that until i told you, and its not your fault. This team is not san diego, new england, dallas, or the giants and steelers, and therefore, there hasn't ben a story about them all offseason. With Haynesworth leaving the titans along with jim shwartz(look at the defensive numbers with and without albert, and this defense goes from a top tier to very very very average), the titans will be worse and the jags are going to have growing pains with their tackles and lack of another rb to help out maurice jones drew.
3. Jamarcus Russell is starting to look like a top pick player in OTAs, and DHB is looking like a rookie. The first is not expected from other fans, but loyal and intelligent raider fans have known this all along. But the second is. The first is a positive, and the second isn't, but it isn't a huge negative. I just hope DHB doesn't turn into Charles Rogers, a big fast receiver who when he played is great but injuries kept him out of the action. (Knock on wood)
4. Greg Ellis is a great signing. He can still play well and is a great player to teach our young guys (jay richardson, trevor scott, greysion gunheim, matt shaugnessy, stryker sulak)
5. I think we may have got 2 starting safeties this draft. The first is a huge suprise when mitchell was taken in the 2nd round, a whole 6 rounds ahead of where the so called "experts" had him ranked. But after watching film on him, the raiders (and even the bears) knew this guy can play. But the other safety is jerome boyd, the undrafted FA from Oregon who was converted from linebacker to strong safety. He was a very fast and undersized linebacker, but he looks like a great project at SS. He is also been the biggest suprise among the rookies that the raiders have drafted. I don't have the link, but ibabuzz.com has a story that proves my point. With mitchell being a more natural safety than boyd, and making many of the plays on his youtube highlight video from the deep safety, its a big maybe, but we may have some huge hitters lining up for us in the D backfield.
6. This last one is going to piss people off, but whatever. Michael Vick has paid his dues. He should not be suspended by the league at all. 2 years in jail, 100 million dollar contract to bankrupt, and no possibility to repair his image with some people is punishment enough. Michael Vick was charged with dogfighting. Dogfighting for gods sake. Not rape. Not tax evasion. Not drug trafficking (although he has had marijuana before). Not robbery. But dogfighting. In Pakistan he would be considered an entertainer (In Pakistan, for entertainment, they take a black bear and take out all the teeth and the claws and unleash 3 pitbulls on it and bet on how long the bear lasts). He has been suggested by some people to be given a pyschiatric evaluation by a doctor to see if he is crazy. Come on. He FUNDED a dogfighting ring in a house he was rarely ever at. He did not choke dogs to death, dismember them or any of that stuff. You know who did all the disgusting stuff? The guys who ratted on him. It is illegal, but the punishment does not fit the crime at all, and now people want him to suffer more? Screw that. And no i am not black. I am a conservative white guy who loves animals(I gave up my Christmas and Birthday presents to pay for a stray dogs medical bills. He is now my most favorite animal Ive ever owned). I am the perfect enemy for michael vick, but i think he has suffered more than enough. To Michael Vick, dogfighting was a way of life. He grew up watching it with his father. More than anything PETA (who does great things for animals but really pissed me off with the witch hunt for vick) should be trying to stop dog fighting in rural america instead of taking out superstars to make their organizations feel more important. I honestly believe that there are people in America who want Mike Vick to burn in hell and that he can never make up for his mistake, which is sad. Its like Christians who go to Church on Sunday then sin uncontrollably M-Saturday. The Vick haters piss me off just as much. Mike Vicks life as it was is over. He is now the most scrutinized athlete of all time. Bar None. Well actually there is only one athlete who compares with him and that is OJ Simpson who murdered his wife and got off free. I hope Mike Vick the best and wish he will be reinstated as long as he shows that his life is in order and he has a plan to improve his life and image.
7. I hope you all don't crucify me because of thought number 6.
8. I hope I actually get some comments on the other thoughts besides just number 6.
9. Number 6 is actually a bad number to give to that topic considering I mention Hell and Mike Vick in the same paragraph. I hope no one thinks I did that purposefully.
10. OJ did it the first time. Don't deny it. This second event just proves the first.
11. I voted for McCain, but I have been pleased with Obama so far in his tenure. There are no real bold decisions in this regime so far, but I think he will do alright.
12. Is it just me or is Eva Mendez still the hottest women of all time?
13. I have mentioned religion and politics in this same post. That is probably the worst decision for someone who wants to talk about sports when mentioning the most 2 opinionated and aggressive topics to talk about. LOL!!!
14. Please Please Please don't kick me outta here for this post.

Raiders 2009 Schedule Overview
The Oakland Raiders once again have inherited one of the hardest schedules in the NFL. Every team plays 6 games from their own division, 4 games against another division, 4 games against another different division, and 2 random games from any of the other 5 divisions. The Raiders have on schedule the AFC North (World Champion Steelers, Ravens, Cincy, Cleveland), the NFC East (NFC Championship participant Eagles, 2007-2008 World Champion Giants, Cowboys, Redskins) and the Texans and Jets, along with their divisional games. On paper, in the most professional way I can describe it, the Raiders are screwed. However, when looking at the schedule deeper, the Raiders are set for an improvement on their 5 and 11 season from the year before. Lets break it down...
Week 1 - San Diego at Home(Monday Night-10:15 Eastern) - The Chargers have been the Raiders Kryptonite as of late. Strong run offense and run defense=Defending what we do well and attacking what we don't defend well. Realistically the Raiders had the Chargers right where they wanted them last time these two teams played in Oakland, leading 15 to 3 entering the 4th quarter only to tire out on defense and give up 25 4th quarter points and 80 rushing yards in a single quarter. Looking at this game this season, I see LT slowing down more than usual as he gets closer to that 30 year old mark. Still, the offensive line is strong and Darren Sproles may break down as the season goes on, but not likely in Week 1. If the Raiders can pull this one out, I see nothing holding them from the division crown. However, my prediction as of Mid June is the Chargers to win.
Raiders (0-1)
Week 2 - Kansas City at Kansas City - 2nd week of the season I still see rust on this offense for KC. They do have Dwayne Bowe, however the Raiders have ND. With Tony G gone, the rest of the match ups are in no favor to the Raiders or Cheifs. Larry Johnson is still and enigma, either rushing for 22 or 92 yards in the Raider contests. At home with a fresh Raider defense, I see him rushing for limited yards and with no true nose guard for KC I see our RB's going wild.
Raiders (1-1)
Week 3 - Denver at Home - No Jay Cutler=No way this team can score 41 at home like last year. Brandon Marshall wants out, they have no true No. 1 RB, and no true nose guard for that defense. Robert Ayers and Elvis Dumervil can bring it off the edge, but with no one up front to stop the Raider running attack and seemingly no one who can match up with Zach Miller on play action passes, the Raiders should pull this one out.
Raiders (2-1)
Week 4 - Houston at Houston - Sorry Raider fans but I don't see a repeat of last seasons game where the Raiders beat this playoff potential team. At Houston with Mario Williams fresh and Steve Slaton as well, this will be a tough situation for the Raiders to win. ND matches up with Andre Johnson well, but Owen Daniels will be a tough match up for any safety, including rookie Mike Mitchell and Hiram Eugene. Mike Huff could be the guy to match up against him, but then Houston will just run the ball right at Huff and he will get plowed. Raiders cannot pull the road win off.
Raiders (2-2)
Week 5 - New York Giants at New York - Watch out Giants, because this one could be a mouse trap game. The Raiders played the Bills tough on the road last year at a 1 o clock kick off just like this one. The Giants appear strong because of the reputation they have built up, but no Derrick Ward or Plaxico Burress and this offense has gotten much weaker. The defense is still strong as ever, but no Steve Spagnuolo and the defense will not have the same crazy looks as before. I also see Eli throwing some picks because no one on the outside has an advantage over the Raider cover guys. But still, the Raiders lose a closer game than the experts think.
Raiders (2-3)
Week 6 - Eagles at Home - This could get ugly. Even if the Raiders are at home, this is the most loaded team with young talent in the league. The defense is still fast as hell, and Donovan has plenty of weapons to throw to. Maybe if the Raiders can establish a running game, they might only lose by 17. Lol.
Raiders (2-4)
Week 7 - New York Jets at Home - No Brett Favre. No Lavernius Coles. The offense should not be the problem for the Raiders. The defense should be ferocious with Bart Scott and Lito Sheppherd and Rex Ryan. Expect of close game just like last year, with the Raiders winning this one as well.
Raiders (3-4)
Week 8 - San Diego at San Diego - Same team, same story. The Raiders have a difficult game on the road against a bad match up for them. The running game for the Chargers should be weaker because of LT slowing down and Darren Sproles experiencing a full work load. Still the Raiders lose.
Raiders (3-5)
BYE
Week 10 - Kansas City at Home - The Raiders should avoid a late game trick play field goal and use the same game plan to beat these guys again. With our RB depth, we should avoid losing a step in the running game due to injury. Raiders win.
Raiders (4-5)
Week 11 - Cincy at Home - This team is a sleeper team. I see the Bengals going anywhere from 6 and 10 to 10 and 6. However, the Raiders match up well with OchoCinco meeting ND and the young Cincy O line meeting the Raider pass rush. The Cincy D is much stronger than given credit for, but the Raiders should take advantage of turnovers and pull a W.
Raiders (5-5)
Week 12 - Dallas at Dallas - Toss up for me. I know the media has tabbed this team as "The Most Talented Team in the NFL", but they are not. They aren't even the most talented team in their division, or even their own state. Tony Romo is shaky and unclutch. Roy Williams should be matched up with ND. However if the Cowboys use their big O line as they should be used, this team could beat us. Ill give it to the Cowboys for now.
Raiders (5-6)
Week 13 - Pittsburg at Pittsburg - I know they just won the Super Bowl, but this is a new year. I did not see the Steelers as the best team last season, instead they just won all the games they had to win to be the champs. The Raiders won the last time these 2 teams played, when Pittsburg was coming off a championship. Ben will force some throws, and our run defense will be better than last year. On offense the Raiders will have a tough time moving the ball. Raiders lose.
Raiders (5-7)
Week 14 - Washington at Home - Big Albert Haynesworth comes to town with all that dough, and he poses some huge problems for us up the middle, but off the edge this team has no one that intimidates our tackles. We should be able to run the ball with some success. On defense, Chris Cooley and Clinton Portis are going to give us some fits, but with Jason Campbells wind up delivery, we should have some passes to be in play for our DB's. Still, the Raiders lose. Lol.
Raiders (5-8)
Week 15 - Denver at Denver - The cold of Denver actually plays to the advantage of the Raiders with their running game. The Broncos could be anywhere from 5 and 9 to 7 and 7 at this point in the season, so this game is a toss up. But since I have given the majority of the toss ups to the other teams, I see this being the first season sweep of the Broncos for the Raiders in a long time.
Raiders (6-8)
Week 16 - Cleveland at Cleveland - With Denver being cold in December, expect Cleveland to be worse. However no K2 and the QB situation being less prolific than ours was last season I see the Raiders beating another Eric Mangini team.
Raiders (7-8)
Week 17 - Ravens at Home - The defense is much weaker this year with Rex Ryan being gone, and Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard are too. Still the running game is excellent and Ray lewis still breathes, so the Raiders should have a tough time moving the ball. However I do see Joe Flacco as having a sophomore slump and I do also see him being not nearly as good as his other 2008 Draft class QB Matt Ryan.
Raiders (7-9)
And there you are. Probably another Top 15 pick ahead for us, but showing that we are on the cusp of winning our division.
True Depression
Eugene Monroe on the board, crabtree on the board, even fricken BJ Raji on the board and Al Davis finds a way to screw it up. This will be one of the worst top 10 picks in the last few years since Ted Ginn to the Dolphins and Mike Williams to the Lions. This pick is bad because of value as well. We could have traded back 15 spots and picked him up anyway. Im very sorry for all of the very insightful talk that was happening on this site because it was mocked with this pick.
Ok its my turn for a mock...
Everyone knows that I can be real critical of some of the choices I have seen this year, but this is my final mock draft(maybe).

OK now that I have put that out there comment me all you want. I did not put explanations next to them because I only want to respond to the picks you guys actually want to talk about and respond to guys maybe being drafted higher or lower than you may believe. I only ask that they are...
1. Constructive-I don't care if you swear at some of my picks, but be thoughtful and precise and you better be ready for a rebutle.
And...
2. Clear-Don't give me alot of typos. I took along time to type this, so you should too.
Analysis of the top prospects being Raiders
Well the raiders have the no. 7 pick in the draft, and we have a stronger team entering the draft than we have had in the last 5 years. Here is what i would think of the top draft prospects(besides matt stafford) if they fell to no. 7 and my opinion one the chance that they will fall to 7 and how well they address our needs-
Aaron Curry-OLB-Wake Forest-Perfect fit for the raiders and the safest pick in the draft. Can play any of the linebacker spots and would give the raiders one of the top 5 linebacker cores in the league.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Extremely Low
Addresses our need-Very Good
Jason Smith-OT-Baylor-The most complete tackle in the draft. has shown the ability to be a power run blocker and a great pass blocker. Great feet and long arms and the most athletic tackle, should be a pro bowler within the next 2 seasons.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Extremely Low
Addresses our need-Above Average
Eugene Monroe-OT-Virginia-The best feet and footwork in the draft and has the arm length and the hold off the best pass rushers. Maybe not the most physical run blocker, but can be very god in the run game. Played in an offense that helps lineman translate into the NFL very well(Dbrickishaw ferguson, branden albert, elton brown)
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Low
Addresses our need-Above Average
Brian Orakpo-DE-Texas-Long arms, extremely athletic and non stop motor, looks like a more athletic version or Jared Allen. Needs to polish moves more but he is just as good of a prospect coming out of college since Gaines Adams. Has performed against great competition having a excellent game against Phil loadholt of Oklahoma. Played against alot of pass happy teams in the Big 12 and is not the best run stopper in the draft, but is the safest and one of the top athletes in this draft.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Medium/Low
Addresses our need-Good
Michael Crabtree-WR-Texas Tech-Most natural receiver coming out of college since larry fitzgerald. Not as good of an athlete as top pick calvin johnson, but no one is athletic as calvin johnson(except maybe lebron james, but that is another discussion). Best hands in the draft, best at running after the catch, and has shown the ability to use his speed to pull away from defenders routinely. Did not run a full route tree, but has all the tools to be a super star on the outside.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Medium
Addresses our need-Very Good
BJ Raji-DT-Boston College-A bowling ball of a man with excellent quickness, best nose tackle prospect since vince wilfork, practically a mirror image of him. Has a great bull rush and an above average swim move. Benefits from a weak D tackle class, but still a great prospect in his own right.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-Medium
Addresses our need-Good
Andre Smith-OT-Alabama-Punishing run blocker with the quickness to pass block, was a top pick before some questionable moves at the combine. Hands down the best run power of an offensive tackle in this draft. Questionable work ethic, but has shown the ability to be an instant pro bowler if he gets his head and motivation right.
Chance he falls to the raiders at 7-High/Medium
Addresses our need- Above Average
Beyond the top pick...
What does everyone think we should do wit our 2nd round pick and later?
In the second i like michel johnson at DE, Patrick chung at SS, Sean Smith at safety/ corner, Alex mack at center, and also connor barwin at DE or SLB and paul kruger at DE.
In the third i like eric wood or antoine caldwell at center, lawrence sidbury at DE, jasper brinkley at SLB (not middle).
In the fourth i like kevin ellison at SS, jamon meredith for an developmental offensive tackle, and maybe fili moala for a nose/under tackle and louis vasquez for offensive guard.
Past that im fresh out of ideas. What do you guys think of the prospects? Anymore i forgot about? And what do you think in the later rounds?
KHALIF BARNES SIGNED!!!!!
It is a one year deal. The terms were not disclosed. This is huge for us. Now we have Henderson and Pears and Barnes to compete for the 2 starting tackle jobs and we have an experienced(maybe a bit crappy too) Cornell Green to back them up. This is huge for the raiders now allowing themselves to not be handcuffed into picking Monroe or Jason Smith. These arent bad players, but allows us to avoid distractions and pick the superstar receiver michael crabtree(if he falls to us, which it looks like he will). Now The raiders have 3 tackles that are 27 or younger and athletic enough to run the ZBS. Now when crabtree falls to us, we wont be tempted by picking up a position we didnt have alot of bodies at.

Crabtree or Offensive tackle?
Myself and kaiser have been bickering over this question for the past few hours. With the no. 7 overall pick, if the oakland raiders had the choice between michael crabtree or any of the top tackles, who would you pick? Im not saying that all of these players will be there at no. 7, but hypothetically speaking what should the raiders do? And give an explanation on this one, dont just say one or the other.
I know what you are all thinking, but it is a bad idea
Im not 100 percent sure about this, but TO was just released. If this is true, every raider fan out there, if not for, will at least consider signing TO to da raiders. Im the first one to say this. NO!!!!!! Bringing TO to the raiders will be like bringing a match to a gun powder party. Look the raiders are almost out of this hole they dug themselves into after the superbowl, and bringing in TO will be like redigging that hole. the last thing we need as an organization is to have TO in Jamarcus's ear to throw him the ball that he will just drop anyway. TO is 35. at this point in his career he is looking for 2 things.
1. A championship, which im confident the raiders are headed into the right direction, but arent close.
2. Cash.
not on that list is helping out a sluggish franchise or assisting the development of a young stud qb. I am the biggest michael crabtree fan, and yes having TO there to tutor him would be great. But whats to say he even wants to? And whats to say he just pulls a javon walker and shuts it down after al gives him an undeserved payday. TO is a cancer. Every td he could give the raiders would be far outshadowed by all the baggage he brings(bad attitude, selfishness, not very good hands)
One last time everyone, NO TO!!!!!!!
there is only one wideout from texas that the raiders should look at, and he is from texas tech. if you dont know who i am talking about, you are not an nfl fan.
