COACHING 101
"They were crying about the quarterback situation; I knew darn well they'd be ready for us," Fulmer said. "We made enough mistakes tonight to fill three or four games. "We will play better teams than UCLA is, and I know we're a better team than we were tonight."
These were the comments of Fulmer after the game.
What this guy needs is a huge dose of reality. The fact of the matter is he and his staff were completely out coached by CRN and his staff, particulrly CDW and CNC. Will he play better teams. Possibly. But our defense looks like it has the potential to be one of the nations best, and our offense impressed in the 2nd half. Did they have mistakes. Yes they had 2 turnovers. But the fact is we doubled their turnovers with 4. As for our crying about QB's, he would be crying also if he had lost both #1 and #2 before the season began.
Let me state this for 100% clarity. CRN and his staff are head and shoulders above Fulmer and his staff, not only in their coaching ability but in their ability to handle themselves with CLASS.

Patience will be rewarded
Well here we are 2 days from a new beginning. To regain glory lost. To re-establish Bruin football as a national power. To what I feel will be, a high flying offensive and smash mouth defensive footbal program within 2-3 years. Having back alum Coach R.N. and the billiance of offensive coord. Coach N.C. will pay huge and long term dividends. I've been a Bruin diehard since the days of Pepper Rogers and his wishbone offense. I was there when Coach Vermeil and the Bruins kicked the piss out of Woody Hayes and OSU in the Rose Bowl. I remember Coach Donahue's teams regularly kicking the crap out of usc.(no caps for apparent reasons). I truly believe in CRN, having witnessed his successes at UW and Colorado. This guys passionate and has the coconuts to keep the talent in So Cal and recruit nationally.
Give me a 5 count and Go Bruins.
