Nothing better to do right now.
After seeing the other post showing overwhelming Yankee support coast to coast, I started thinking about how next years standings might shake out. Plus I've got nothing else to do till I go back to work soon.
I realize it's early and a lot could still change. Just for fun though, what do you guys think? What's the final order in each division. Who are the wildcard winners and what's your World Series prediction.

Madden predicts NYJ better with Favre
J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!!!!
I know everyone wants more coverage on this, am I right?
Hope the link works.
May 9th for the 35th time.
Happy Birthday to me!
This is a bit self indulgent, and yeah, maybe I'm fishing for a congratulatory comment or two. I just thought I would take a look back and see just how the Royals have faired on this glorious 35th anniversary of the day I cast off my umbilcal cord. So, enjoy this trip down memory lane with me as I chase away last nights hangover in preparation for tomorrows.

What's the point of all this? None really....But the Royals overall have won 14 times on my brthday, and lost 18. Hopefully we can get that closer to .500 tonight.
Also, you can see that KC has only held first place three time on this date for as long as I have been alive. And while Jim Colborn and Runelvys Hernandez have twice led to disappointing Birthdays, Jeff Suppan and Bret Saberhagen both came through for me with two wins each.
Since 2000, we are 4-4 on this date, with 3 wins out of the last 4 seasons. Current Royals who have pitched admirably for me, are Peralta, Gobble, and Soria.
We have played four games before against the O's, and are 2-2. So, all things considering, I have neither inspired or jinxed us on the ninth of May....and it could go either way tonight. Predicting a win though...4-3.

Is this a "diary?"
I'm not real computer savy as it is, but at midnight, and with a good buzz.....this is confusing stuff....
Sorry about the rambling but, I wanted to see if I'm doing this right...
Thought it also might be fun to claim....FIRST!
Good meaningless game today by the way.....anticipation growing for the real deal....Hopefully not going to be another bad April.

Merry Christmas to all at Royals Review!
I only just found this site last season, but enjoy the different points of view, and personalities, that dwell here under a bridge spanning a once great franchise, and a future return to glory.
I have lived in St. Louis for some time worshiping a team that everyone laughs at, but I'm no fair weather fan. Nice to meet and joke with fellow sadists.
Hope everyone enjoys Christmas with their families, and asked Santa for a pennant!

Still think I'm out of my mind?
Getting ready to head back to work, so I'll miss yet another game...but I was catching up on some reading, and zoomed back to August 15th. There was a discussion on how many wins we would have at the end of the year...I said I thought our record would be "67-95 with an outside chance of 70 wins" which did not go over very well.
I still could be way off if we suddenly get hot, but I won't hold my breath....As we near the end, if someone was to ask the same question again, I still can't see us getting more than 70-72 wins at best. (And that's the optimistic me.)
Don't know how to link back to that post, sorry. (Baseless pessimism?)

Missing an entire week of ball and Greinke's start.
I just felt the urge to bitch about how much my job sucks. It should be illegal for employers to require me to work these hours. I'm in sales and have had appointments assigned at:
Mon. - 10,1,5,8
Tues. - 10,1,5,8
Weds. - 10,1,5
Thurs. - 10,1,5,8
Fri. - 10,1,5,8....(My ten cancelled this morning)
Sat. - ??? Won't know till late tonight.
I leave the house at 9-9:30am and get home around 11:30pm every day this week. I can't bitch to my wife because all I'll hear is how much worse she has it at her job...You married guys know how this works...
This is my version of scared straight for those going back to school. Wish I stayed in college.
Anyway, I'm gonna miss not seeing tonights game especially, and will have to settle again for reading all your posts tonight. Maybe I'm just in a foul mood but I expect an Odalis type of performance out of Greinke...4-5 runs in 5 innings. Hope I'm wrong. Any one else want to speculate on how he will do?
