Jayz was celebrating with Kentucky at prudential....
"I said, ‘Oh that's Jay-Z!' " forward Terrence Jones said. "We all gave him a handshake and he came in the locker room, and we just kept screaming ‘Jay-Z in the locker room!' He congratulated us, just said he was proud of us."
Calipari is believed to have met Jay-Z through NBA power broker William Wesley
Terrence Jones would be so nice at our 3 along with James.

What about Nick Young?
We are in desperate need for a scorer and that is what the kid does, SCORE! He is a Restricted Free agent and should come cheaper than some of the other names. Washington is going to try and match what ever he is offered though.
Stats this year.
He is 14th in the league in scoring b4 Allen, Richardson, Parker, Derozan, and Matthews. 17.7 ppg
His FG% is .443 which is better than Rose, Westbrook and Kevin Martin. Ginobili shoots a .429
Above avg with the ball in his hands. Now for the bad:
Dude does not pass the ball. In 62 games this year he is avg 1.2 asts, in between Shannon Brown and Deshawn Stevenson who both also played in about the same number of games. Our own Morrow who is pretty much a spot up shooter is avg 1.1 ast.
Young is basically the reincarnation of Rip Hamilton. Same size and build and ability to score. Not gonna give you much else on the floor but scoring, but he can hit that mid range off the dribble which is a very important thing to have. Only young is a better finisher and has a better handle.
Oh and dude has handles!!!
If he was on the Nets he would become the #1 scoring option followed by Lopez and Deron. A scorer like that would then let you add a SF like Ak47 that is just there to get boards help on defense and finish at the rim.
Thoughts?
Over the last 5 games! We lead the Nba...
We lead the Nba in offense and are 2nd in defense.
Amazing turnaround!
Net fans Vs Knick fans Friday april 8th 2011!! @ the ROCK Be there!!!!
Ok so as everyone is a aware the Nets got embarrassed at home the last time these 2 teams played. The Knicks fans made it a home court advantage for their team. They booed out players and acted like they run things on this side of the river. We got a whoopin and promptly folded and turned tail. We put up no fight and layed down like cowards, not even a hard foul was given.
Well its different now!
We have the best pg in the league and our players feel the energy he is bringing. Not only the players but the FANS! We feel it too! Its time for redemption and retaliation!
We need to come out in force that nite. Jerseys on, Flags waving, VUVU's blaring rallying our team to a win. Repping our house and team! The ROCK!
I want a bunch of us to sit together i dont care if its the cheap seats. We need to get the crowd amped and to drown out any Knick cheers at all. As soon as they start we need to get louder and make them lose all hope and drive their morale down to nothing. I want Melo to realize how happy us Net fans are that he chose NY over NJ cause we still came out on top. I want Deron to acknowledge the crowd support.
Cmon people we have 4 full weeks to plan this!!
You can order VuVu's online for 8$! Make signs and banners. Lets decide where we are going to sit and lets bring the MF'in RUCKUS!!!!!
Rep that Red White and Blue with pride!!

Sorry for the fanpost but there is no private message option on the board. I am trying to find out what part of New Mexico you are in. I am there monthly and would love to connect with a fellow Net fan. Everyone out there pretty much roots for Dallas or Phx. Are there any sportsbars that have league pass in ABQ? I know Darvin Ham coaches the Dleague team out there. Any other stuff hoops related. Damion James is from NM too i believe.
You can email me at Power_njerz@yahoo.com
Melo makes a very poor marketing move. Link to new commercial!
How egotistical is this nonsense??!!
Knicks have deal in place to acquire !st rnd pick.
you've been following along, you already know this. But the biggest reason the Knicks couldn't get into the meat of the Carmelo Anthonydiscussions is because they were lacking all the pieces required. That main piece being a first-round pick in next year's draft.
Donnie Walsh even talked about regretting the Tracy McGrady trade in which he gave up a first-rounder. But the Knicks may be able to get back in the game now as Chris Sheridan of ESPN.com reports that New York has a deal available to them in which it can acquire a 2011 first-round pick to use as part of a potential Carmelo trade.
Of course, the key there is getting talks revived and jumping into the driver's seat. The Knicks don't have the besttrade pieces, but the fact that New York is Melo's preferred destination and that the Knicks could package a deal better than some, it's possible.
If anything, it's obvious that the Knicks are serious about playing in the Carmelo Sweepstakes. They've made a contingent move in order to make a move, which is a lot closer to Melo than they have been before.
Is this deal good enough to trump what the Nets put together in the four-team deal that's dormant/dead/in a coma? Who knows, because we don't know the parts. But this definitely means that the Knicks shouldn't be counted out just yet.

What realistic numbers would you like to see from our starters?
I think the following is very attainable for each of our starting 5:
Lopez
22pts, 7rbs, 3asts 1.7blks
Murphy
13pts, 9rbs, 2asts, .5blks
Outlaw
12 pts, 5rbs, 3asts, 1blk
Twill
14pts, 4rbs, 4asts, 1stl
Harris
18pts, 3rbs, 7asts, 2stl
I think this is attainable and realistic. Hoping for more out of Outlaw with the increased minutes but i will be satisfied with that. Especially if he can rebound more. Devin's numbers should hit exactly that if not more scoring. I think Brook's rebounding will lessen this season because of the added rebounders.
How many NetsDaily members have BBM???
Do you have BBM???
Might be cool to start a BBM Nj Nets group.
I was thinking it would be a cool way for us to keep abreast of nets news. Also a way of keeping track of in game activity if you are not around a tv or radio. If you guys are interested post in here and we should be able to work something out. Us original Net fans have to stick together before the bandwagon comes rolling.
Brook Lopez ranked #3 center by Yahoo sports!!
3. Brook Lopez(notes), New Jersey Nets (last year: seventh)
How can the best player on a 70-loss team be ranked in the top three at his position? Well, the team stunk. Last year's Nets were really, truly awful.
Lopez was not. He still remains really, truly underrated. He's not a stat hound, he doesn't do anything at the expense of winning and he just piles up the points and rebounds. He averaged 18.8 points and 8.6 rebounds last season with 1.7 blocks and 2.3 assists, and I'd really like the Nets to add 30 wins to last season's totals so people would stop looking at this 22-year-old with such a jaundiced eye.
If you notice the pics in the link Kelly Dwyer does the same honors with Big Z that he did with Troy Murphy. Pretty funny.
Who in your opinion is the Fastest Nj Net???
I am not talking about the Quickest as in being able to shake a defender or go for steals. A friend and I were debating which Net was faster end to end and i have to say Twill he says Harris. I agree Harris is quicker but Twill seems faster. He has longer stronger legs which would propel his body faster skinny dudes like Harris are usually not that fast. Look at Usain Bolt that is a big man. I know Harris set a record for dribbling end to end at all star too but i still say Twill.
your thoughts?
Nets not on Bosh' sign and trade wishlist....
The agent for All-Star forward Chris Bosh has narrowed the list of his client's preferred teams down to five, sources told ESPN's Chad Ford at the NBA Combine in Chicago.
The list of teams, which includes the Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Knicks and Raptors, was given to Toronto in the event they want to work a sign-and-trade should Bosh not re-sign with Toronto.
Bosh likes the option of a sign-and-trade, rather than signing with another team outright, because he could make more money and have another year added to his deal.
The Raptors would also prefer a sign-and-trade because it would allow him to replace Bosh.
"If LeBron decides to go to either New York or Chicago, I think that's where you'll see Chris land," a source told Ford. "If LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think the process is more wide open."
