Bynum suspended for two games
I definitely do not agree with this because it seems to harsh. I hope the Lakers adjust to losing their anchor on D.
4 Worst Offseasons
Pretty good read and seems relevant.

Ladies and Gentlemen of SSR,
With the holiday season comes many gifts. To some people, the mere presence of relatives and friends could be one of the greatest gifts. To others, opening up a new game console could be theirs. Mine is a combination.

And the Bidding for Beltre Begins
Is length of contract or per year more important to Beltre? 5 years 45 million. Remember Red Sox will probably offer 52 million for 4 years.
Ken Griffey Jr. and the Simpsons
I found this and I thought you guys would find it interesting.
"The most epic season-by-season comparison of Ken Griffey Jr and The Simpsons you'll read this week." -@wezen_ball
Mathis Hurt- Might miss one or two games
According to Mark Saxon of ESPN, Jeff Mathis might have injured his hand after taking a pitch off his right hand. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it would suck to lose Mathis. Looks like we will see Napoli tonight. I hope he takes advantage of the opportunity.
Fuentes on the DL
Twitter is awesome. Anyways, according to Victor Rojas, Fuentes is on the DL with a strained mid-back and Francisco Rodriguez has been called up to replace him.
Maicer gets the start tonight
According to Soth, Mighty Maicer is getting his first start tomorrow. He did not specify what position Mice Tits would play but I am going to take a shot in the dark and say 3B.
Chat about Opening Day
found this chat and decided to give Sam Miller from OCR a shout out.
"The Angels have invited Tim Salmon, the franchise’s career home run leader, to throw out the first pitch in Monday night’s season opener." This is awesome. I wish I could see KingFish throw the first pitch.
GMJ to the Mets
Brothers and Sisters, the time has finally arrived. According to Jon Heyman, Gary Matthews Jr. is being acquired by the Mets. The Angels will pay some of the salary. There will be more news in the future. But for the moment, rejoice!
Weaver skips arbitration
Looks like Weaver will also skip arbitration, agrees to a $4.265 million dollar contract. Weaver made 470,000 last year.
HK skips arbitration
According to Jon Heyman of SI, Howie Kendrick is receiving a $1.75 million deal this year instead of arbitration. The deal includes incentives. He made 470,000 last year.
Latest News on Aroldis Chapman and the Angels
Morales and Chapman are becoming buddies and are working out together. Angels Scouting Director, Eddie Bane calls it a fit, at the right price. Let's see what unfolds.
American Studies Project
Hey HH,
I am currently taking a class called American Places which is dedicated to the study of cities in the United States. The class requires a research paper on any place of my choosing. It can be a school, a park, a bathroom stall, etc but we have to be able to talk about the importance of the place in the larger scope of the US. Well guess what I decided to study?
My research project focuses on the founding of Anaheim Stadium in 1966 and the All Star Game in 1967. The paper will investigate the impact of the stadium and the franchise on the city of Anaheim. Currently I've done research on the construction of the stadium and the city council's joint resolution with that brought the Franchise to Anaheim. I also found newspaper clippings from the inaugural season in the new Anaheim Stadium. There's a lot of good stuff in the Anaheim Special Collections Library.
Now here's where I need your help HH. If anyone who can recount anything about that time would be willing to have an interview, I would be honored. Also gathering any other resources would be awesome. I really want to do a great job on this project because I have friends who are doing their research projects on Yankees Stadium and I want to show them that the big A is much more baller.
Thanks for hearing me out and I hope you guys can help me out.

From Sunday's game. Great Game all around. Last Home game this summer for me.
MLB Fatman Lineup
While watching the Angel game on Thursday some HH'ers recommended that I put up a list me and my friend came up with at a dodger game. Some positions were harder than others but we did our best. Also some of these players may not be that big, but they are bigger than their compadres. This might give some fat kids some hope for a future in MLB. Any suggestions?
Rangers release Padilla
Everyone's favorite fugly dude has been released from the Rangers. Wonder where he will end up. Personally, I would be pissed if the angels signed him.
Hunter will be sidelined tonight 7/8
Hunter is feeling pain in his abductor muscle (groin muscle). Last night, the pain was so sharp he could barely run. Hopefully, it will be ok. Looks like it will be a rough night without Hunter and Vlad.
The Best Away Game I've Ever Gone To
I've been to a few angel games away from the park, but this one is by far the best one.
Ducks Rally Thread
Alright guys we are down 2 goals but its time to pick it up and win this. We cant make these stupid mistakes anymore. Hiller is has to come out. Winning it will get us a 3-1 advantage. Lets do this duck fans. I know this place is for baseball but lets give it up for our featherly brothers down the street. Lets go Ducks Lets go Ducks Lets go Ducks Lets Go Ducks. Great win Weaver
"Los Angeles Angels' Howie Kendrick holds a towel over his head in the dugout against the Chicago Cubs in the third inning of their spring training baseball game in Tempe, Ariz., Friday, March 13, 2009."
Howie looks a lot like Figgins. Thank you Yahoo Sports
Joe Saunders Feeling Tightness
hopefully its nothing more. Please..
WBC Update
On the subject of the World Baseball Classic, today's game of Netherlands was absolutely epic. Ubaldo Jimenez strikes out ten, Pedro is solid, and a bunch of unknowns beat a powerhouse. If you watched today's game you witnessed something that happens once in a blue moon. The Netherlands gave up no earned runs and one of the most overrated closers blew a big one. This competition deserves more publicity because this is pretty impressive stuff.
HATING ON LACKEY
Big John, my favorite pitcher in baseball, just got dissed by this idiot.
Relief in the Future
Our man Jason Bulger gets a pat in the back for being solid in Triple-A. I hope he pays off in 2009
Jose Mota take on the Angels Postseason
Although it might be a little biased because its Jose Mota, I still agree with all his points.
