The best part? He stays in the East. If you're lazy, it appears the Devils got him.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings, in considering the feasibility of a Samuel Dalembert-for-Kenny Thomas swap, have discussed expanding that concept with Boston by trying to draw in the Celtics on a potential three-way deal that would land Andres Nocioni with the Celts.

Sources further stressed over the past 48 hours that this should be classified as an ongoing conversation as the teams involved decide how much they like what’s on the table.

But the full deal as it stands, if it eventually gets that far, would send Nocioni to Boston, Kenny Thomas, Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine to Philadelphia and Dalembert and J.R. Giddens to Sacramento.

ESPN has collected data and performed witch doctor voodoo on it to figure that the Kings are the 117th best franchise in the major pro sports. This is out of 122, with the Clippers holding that honor.

To summarize, the golden age of Kings basketball was the '50's , since then Mr. Hollinger feels that a whole lot of nothing happened.

(I know it says insider but it works for me. Some sort of error on their end I assume. Oddly enough the only one outside of the top 10 that works for me is Sac).

Patrick Marleau has a nice little interview at Puck Prospectus talking on a wide variety of topics. You can also check out Wednesday's under the blade (http://www.puckprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=61) for Marleau injury speculation.

Fear The Fin My Sharks History

First off, Hello, I'm new here. I'm a long time Sharks fan, going back to the Cow Palace days. Well OK I can't substantiate that, seeing as I was 5 or so back then. But I have been a fan as long as I can remember, What was that first Sharks memory you ask, well I'll share.

It was March of 1994, San Jose was trying to make the playoffs for the first time, and with a win over the Kings would do pretty well to secure that. A certain #99 for the Kings happened to be stuck on 799 goals, so a huge deal was being made. I was 7 at the time, so I don't remember all that much, although I do remember sitting in the lower bowl behind the goal before the extra seats were added to the then San Jose arena. My memory really snaps on when the Sharks were up 6-5 with a minute or so left and LA pulled their goalie, That caught my attention for some reason, the sight of an empty goal was really intriguing. I next remember a shot/pass from the LA D-Man (Zhitnik I think, though I'm not sure,) and Gretzky pokes it in from in front, to tie Howe's all time mark and the game. A grizzled old hockey fan sitting next to me in a Jets jersey says Son, you're going to remember this night for the rest of your life. I didn't say anything back because I wasn't supposed to talk to strangers. Well, wouldn't you know it, he was right.

Well after that season, and the miracle run in the playoffs, my family got season tickets and I went to every home game until 2000 when we moved up North to Sac. Those were dark days for me, as back then the Kings (Basketball) were just getting to be a championship quality team, and Kings mania was setting in, and so none of the stations really gave the Sharks any airtime. I still did my best to follow the team online, but it was harder, and for awhile there were some players that I didn't quite know. Then in 2004 CSN premiered and the Kings, now in decline were relegated to that channel, and Sharks games were finally shown, and I was reacquainted with my team, and then there was a lockout, and I moved to Davis (Go Ags!). Anyway here I am, I've missed maybe 10 games in my time here, and just recently I was introduced to this fine community by a friend of mine, so I'm doing what has to be done, jumping in and joining the fun.
