RHP Joe Blanton was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Kyle Kendrick will get the start against the Arizona Diamondbacks in place of Blanton tonight.

Blanton was a workhorse for the Phillies and ate up valuable innings and great as the 4 or 5 guy.
