Devlin discusses departure
"He said (equipment manager Spider Caldwell), 'Joe just called me and told me to clean out your locker,'" Devlin recalled. "So I grabbed a trash bag and threw everything in my locker and left. That's kind of how it ended."
Paterno's expansion plea met with no-go
"Paterno mentioned Syracuse, Rutgers and Pittsburgh as possible 12th members for the Big Ten."
John Cappelletti gave best speech

1. "Lastly, there is my brother, Joseph, who is ill. He has leukemia. They say I've shown courage on the football field, but for me it's only on the field and only in the fall. Joey lives with pain all the time. His courage is 'round the clock. I want him to have this trophy. It's more his than mine because he has been such an inspiration to me." – Penn State's John Cappelletti honors his dying younger brother in his 1973 Heisman Trophy acceptance speech."

Who pre-registered?
I pre-register today!!! I think this was a better idea than 50,000 people trying to access the same webpage in a matter of 30 mins. Did anyone come across the website rejecting your request for tickets?

5 Captains for 2008!
This is great. D-Wheels and Scirrotto are the new ones!
"Five seniors will serve as Penn State football captains this season, including injured standout linebacker Sean Lee.
Lee will be an honorary captain in 2008 as he recovers from a right knee injury suffered during spring practice. He expects to return to the field in 2009.
Anthony Scirrotto was elected a defensive captain along with defensive end Josh Gaines. The offensive captains are center A.Q. Shipley and receiver Derrick Williams."
2nd commit of 2009
Indian Head (Md.) Lackey safety Malcolm Willis committed to Penn State Monday.
"Penn State was at my school yesterday and after they left I told my coach that I want to be a Nittany Lion," Willis said.
Willis was attending classes at his high school at the time of this writing, so we will have more on this story later in the day Tuesday.
2008 captains!
"Shipley, Lee and Gaines are voted to the leadership positions by their teammates. Lee earned the honor despite being forced to miss the 2008 season due to injury."
#93 is back!
"Chris Baker
is so happy 2b back on the team.

Lee back in 2009?
found this article that mentions Sean Lee wanting to come back in 2009
"I'm coming back," Lee said. "I walked into the locker room the practice after I tore it . . . and said to myself, 'I want to play another game. I want to prepare another game in this locker room. I want to play another game in [Beaver] Stadium.' I can't see myself not doing it."
so is there NO way that he can be healed or can recover before the 2008 season ends?
