I pre-register today!!! I think this was a better idea than 50,000 people trying to access the same webpage in a matter of 30 mins. Did anyone come across the website rejecting your request for tickets?

Here's the link just in case someone forgot pre-registering today: http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/16740

My experience was smooooooth and hopefully they can work around this same idea and make it better (to fight scalping?)

Best of luck pre-registering! Can-NOT wait for the season to start. For some reason I feel we have a better shot at a BCS bid than last year (with all that 2007 championship hype). Just a gut feeling.

Tickets go on sale (all EST time zone)

oSENIORS - Monday, June 16, 7:00 AM - 91.1 credits or more at the completion of Spring '08 semester

o JUNIORS - Tuesday, June 17, 7:00 AM - 59.1 credits or more at the completion of Spring '08 semester

oSOPHOMORES - Wednesday, June 18, 7:00 AM - 27.1 credits or more at the completion of Spring '08 semester

o FRESHMEN - Thursday, June 19, 8:00 PM - This includes all incoming Penn State undergraduate students and students with less than 27.1 credits at the completion of Spring '08 semester

oGRADUATE STUDENTS - Friday, June 20, 7:00 AM

This is great. D-Wheels and Scirrotto are the new ones!

"Five seniors will serve as Penn State football captains this season, including injured standout linebacker Sean Lee.

Lee will be an honorary captain in 2008 as he recovers from a right knee injury suffered during spring practice. He expects to return to the field in 2009.

Anthony Scirrotto was elected a defensive captain along with defensive end Josh Gaines. The offensive captains are center A.Q. Shipley and receiver Derrick Williams."

http://bigtennetwork.com/sports/football/story.asp?list_id=1&story_id=321915

Also..."Five players were suspended from spring practice due to various off-field concerns. While their availability during the regular season remains unclear, the team said in a brief statement that the players were now permitted to work out with the team in the weight room and training facilities."

2nd commit of 2009

Indian Head (Md.) Lackey safety Malcolm Willis committed to Penn State Monday.

"Penn State was at my school yesterday and after they left I told my coach that I want to be a Nittany Lion," Willis said.

Willis was attending classes at his high school at the time of this writing, so we will have more on this story later in the day Tuesday.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=58880&season=2009

pros: Willis is a great-looking athlete on the hoof and shows good skills as both a dual-threat quarterback and safety. His future lies on defense though, and depending on his refinement he could stay at safety or slide down to outside linebacker. Did not show the good hips and same smoothness at safety we saw when he ran as a quarterback, but he possesses good size and displays above average range supporting the run and pass. Looked comfortable and played physical down in the box versus the run. Overall, Willis possesses the physical tools, athleticism and aggressiveness for a college coaching staff to mold into a quality defensive player. Might benefit from a red shirt season and continued physical development could see a move down to outside linebacker.

cons: Lacks a fluid pedal and proper read steps. Tends to play high with little bend hindering transition quickness out of pedal and sharpness when running the alley. A bit stiff pursuing laterally and breaking down in space. Good range for his size but speed versus faster slots in man-to-man is a concern. Does not show a great burst breaking on the ball in the air when playing zone.

We would love to see you grow into a great athlete and a student under Joe Pa. Welcome to Penn State, Malcolm.

"Shipley, Lee and Gaines are voted to the leadership positions by their teammates. Lee earned the honor despite being forced to miss the 2008 season due to injury."

This is exciting. Personally I would prefer seeing D-Wheels, Lee and Mo' Evans but this is great too.

I have heard great things about Josh Gaines and we all know how hard working A.Q and Sean are!

What do you think of this?

Lee back in 2009?

found this article that mentions Sean Lee wanting to come back in 2009

http://www.philly.com/inquirer/breaking/sports_breaking/20080416_Penn_States_Lee_to_return_in_2009.h tml

"I'm coming back," Lee said. "I walked into the locker room the practice after I tore it . . . and said to myself, 'I want to play another game. I want to prepare another game in this locker room. I want to play another game in [Beaver] Stadium.' I can't see myself not doing it."

so is there NO way that he can be healed or can recover before the 2008 season ends?
