In case you didn't hear, Frank Clemente gave his last lecture at Penn State a few weeks ago. Soc 5 was probably the only class I still remember from college. I just watched the video again tonight. I feel bad that future penn staters will not get to take his class.

[Bumped, For The Kids. Of course, all Penn Staters know that "THON" is our Happy Valley jargon for the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.  For the less informed, THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.  Yes, the world. Since its inception, THON has raised $61,000,000 to help fight pediatric cancer, benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital.  Last year, Four Diamonds received $7,093,777 as a result of the hard work, dedication, and hallucinatory sweating of THON volunteers and, of course, dancers.  Don't forget that thon.org is the official site.  Donate here.  THON store here. In case anyone was not aware, THON started about an hour ago. I haven't seen it in the BJC but I heard it is incredible there. I danced in 2002 back when it was 48 hours (and an actual marathon j/k) Just wanted to say "Good Luck" to all the dancers that may be in BSDland and thanks for the efforts to all the students who raised money or helped out in anyway this year.

If there are any students reading this who have not been a part of THON in the past, Take a walk over to the BJC and see what it is all about. Trust me, you will remember THON just as much (if not more than) any football game.

Just turned espn on and saw that this game was on. They announced that Dominique Easley will be making his announcement today on the air on where he has decided to go to between us, Miami and Oregon.  I believe he hasn't visited Miami yet so I would assume it is between us and Oregon. I know he said he wanted to get off east coast but I think maybe his family has talked him into not going that far and he recommits to PSU just a gut feeling so we shall see

Are there other Penn state commits that I should be looking for?

What the ZUG happened to the BSD I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest greatest afternoon in work of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. There is an article on collegefootballpoll.com that has Temple finishing the season 11-1 (their only loss is at Penn State) and ranked #22 in the nation. They said that the computers have them playing for the MAC championship as the winner of the east and as this year's Ball State.

I hope they are right not just for our schedule but it would be nice to see Golden doing well. Also it would be nice to have an in state rivalry with a team that can actually play well.

 Adam Rittenberg: I don't want to speculate on that. It's something red. It could be a bloody mary, but I don't want to speculate.

 Adam Rittenberg: He'd never be able to have a drink alone if he were in Pennsylvania.

Fernando (Mart, TX): Love the blog. Coming out of spring, who are the major Heisman contenders from the Big 10? And is it already Tebow's to lose, before the season even starts?

 Adam Rittenberg: It is for sure Tebow's to lose. I think the Heisman has become a QBs award and the Big Ten's problem is that they haven't had a lot of good QBs lately. Darryl Clark from PSU might have a chance, but their schedule is so soft that it will be hard for him to get the recognition early enough to be a good candidate.

Scott (DC): Do you think the decisive game for the Big Ten Championship will be OSU-PSU?

 Adam Rittenberg: Definitely going in, that's the way it looks. I think things could change with the Iowa, PSU game earlier, but right now, that looks like the game of the year.

Rick (Howell, MI): How can Penn State NOT be everyone's preseason Big Ten champ pick? Isn't it yours? So they lose some receivers...they were good but not great. Daryll will get the ball to the new ones just fine...GO PENN STATE!

 Adam Rittenberg: That's very confident. I like to hear it. I think the bigger issue will be the secondary and the offensive line losing three starters. But PSU has a lot of star players and a very favorable schedule.

John, Michigan: Who are your top three favorites to win? And who is this years Dark horse?

 Adam Rittenberg: My top three are definitely OSU, PSU and Iowa. My dark horse would be Michigan State. I like the way the schedule sets up for them. Illinois is a potential dark horse, but they were so disappointing last year that it's hard to put them in that category.
