Punto4MVP's Top 50 Prospects
Here is my top 50 prospect list. I took into account ceiling, likelihood of reaching that ceiling, and fantasy relevance as the most important factors, followed by closeness to the Majors. There were some players that were close, but if one was closer to the Majors or showed success in higher levels, I would go with that player.

Twins Let LNP Leave MN
As most of you know, our favorite superhero/mascot LNP has left Minnesota for "greener pastures" in St. Louis. Clearly a move to bring in some protection in the lineup for Albert Pujols, LNP's sick nasty defense and "slugability" will surely put the Cardinals over the top this year.
What were the Twins thinking? We traded Harris and Hardy away, which basically meant the writing was on the wall to resign Punto. And considering the Cards only paid 750K for his services, I don't get why we didn't try harder to sign him. This could go down as one of the worst FA losses in Twins history.

Who is getting the call in September?
So, with rosters expanding soon, I was wondering which players you believe or have heard will get the call come September. A guy that comes to mind would be Michael Pineda. Even though he is approaching his innings limit, I could see him getting called up for a cup of coffee and then sent down. Does anyone see that happening with him, and do you see anyone else as a possible candidate to be called up?
Dynasty Baseball Trade
I pulled off a trade last night in the wee hours of the morning by trading Brett Lawrie and Trevor Cahill for Brian Matusz.
This is a 12 Team H2H Dynasty League, where we keep everyone. Stat categories are: R,AVG,2B,3B,HR,RBI,SB and W,SV,HLD,Ks,ERA,WHIP
Here are my major league and minor league rosters:
Yankees vs Red Sox... again?
Living in a smaller non-east coast market, the Red Sox vs Yankees lose a little bit of luster. I mean, seriously, it seems like these teams are playing each other all the time! And its always a huge deal when they play, at least the media makes it out to be that. I understand that both of these teams have huge fan bases and a lot of history, but why always make it into a giant ordeal when they play?
MOD: Minnesota Twins #2
So we have come up with some draft targets that may be good fits for the organization. I think the biggest thing we need to start out with is a draft budget. How much should we budget for the first 3 rounds, and how should we distribute the budget for each round? Below is a list of guys that some people have shown interest in. Since we are all the way down at 21, we will have to wait and see who is available.
MOD Minnesota Twins
Welcome to the 1st Minnesota Twins MOD of 2010. I wanted to hear anybody's opinion of how you think we should target the upcoming draft. While the Twins have a history of drafting an abundance of college pitchers, they have also taken chances with high school athletes.
Mike Stanton Hits a 500 Foot Homer!
This guy has some legit pop and is absolutely raking at AA (.340, 14 HRs, 31 RBIs in 27 Games), but does his quick start warrant a promotion to the bigs? Or, should the Marlins keep him down and let him get some more seasoning, while at the same time extending his team control? Currently, the Marlins are 4 games back from 1st in the NL East. With Coghlan hitting a measley .183, do you think the Marlins should clear a spot for the young slugger?
Best Fantasy Baseball Team Names
What are some of your favorite fantasy baseball team names that you have seen or that you use? In my opinion, I think a great team name is almost as important as the players on your roster. Some of my favorites are:
Honey Nut Ichiros
Be Home Blyleven
Jim Thome Is Burning
Grand Theft Votto
Cuddyer Straits
Borbon Street
Lawn Mauer
2 Burrells 1 Cup
X Markakis The Spot
The Young and the Restless
The Price is Wainwright
Milton Bradley = Kanye West of Baseball?
ESPN.com had an article about Milton Bradley and how he feels he is the Kanye West or "bad boy" of Baseball.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5025391
I found it to be a little odd that Milton Bradley "self-proclaimed" himself as the Kanye West of baseball. Sure, he has never been considered a good guy, but still I wouldn't consider him a household name enough to have that comparison. That got me to thinking... who is truly the Kanye West, or bad boy of baseball? Also, what other players in the league resemble different real life counterparts in music, movies, and in the public eye?
Here are some categories of celebs/icons, I'm curious to see what player you think fits each role:
Kanye West (Bad Boy of Baseball)
Jesus Christ (Baseball's Model Citizen)
Michael Jackson (Popular among fans but also somewhat odd)
Evil Knievel (Risk taker and wild man)
Kim Kardashian (obsessed with their image)
Conan O'Brien (comedian of the league)
Michael Scott (Manager who is the most player friendly)
If you can think of any more good role comparisons, feel free to toss those in as well.
