For the handful of you that play video games that happen to simulate NBA basketball here are some ratings by the people at 2k sports.

No George Hill because he didn't sign a contract yet. However Robert Horry is there and he signed no contract either. So clearly George Hill is no good to 2k sports and they gave him the shaft. Also Roger Mason's video game counterpart sucks. Kurt Thomas is the Spurs fourth best player. How sad.

Celtics recap

Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls I give you the most depressing recap ever.

So for the second year in a row the Boston Celtics visit the AT&T Center for a St.Patrick's Day match up against our Spurs. Given that the Celtics are this year's media darlings and center of all attention wouldn't this game warrant some spot on National TV? It wasn't even on NBATV. If the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat are still on TV why the hell not this game. I hate you ESPN.

This game was just full of emotion. I went from happy, to ecstatic, to disappointment, anger, depression, and ultimately acceptance. This is by far the worst Spurs team to suit up since 2001. What an honor for those guys.

Lets get to the game. There were a lot of Boston Bandwagoners all showing off their new Garnett jerseys. Too many actually. I refuse to believe all those people claim themselves as Celtic fans. During the player intros they were cheering on "their team" and obviously trying to be louder than the Spurs fans when the tip was coming up. Now I don't know if that triggered something in the Spurs fans there, I just know got me a little ticked. That had to be the loudest most rowdy first quarter coming from the fans in a regular season game in a long time. I nearly lost my voice cheering everything the Spurs did.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that was the best first quarter the Spurs have played in months. Defense with the fast break! Hitting 3 pointers! Not settling for stupid jumpshots! Only Timmy, Tony and Manu permitted to dribble the basketball!!!? Did you see the latina whose red thong was sticking out! AMAZING!! The only play the Celtic bandwagoners got up for was a Paul Pierce (who for the rest of this recap will be referred to as PeePee) dunk. Otherwise they were sitting on their hands as the C's got whooped.

The second quarter rolls around the Spurs began their transformation into the current team. The running game stops. Guys like Horry, and Finley (who else?) think they are on FIRE and shoot too much. Its not hard to figure out the Celtics weren't gonna be down 20 something points all ballgame. Being up 12/13 points at the half was still an accomplishment. Halftime show was some kids dancing on the court. Quality entertainment indeed.

3rd quarter the transformation was complete. The old man, don't give a shit, ugly crap Spurs showed up and stunk up the place. The rowdy arena was replaced by a bunch of "UGHHHHHHHHHH" "AWWWWWWWWWWW" "BOOOOOOOO" "HORRY FUCKING SUCKS!!". I might be imagining that last one. The 3rd quarter was owned by some guy named Rajon Rondo. Message to Pop: Just because a guy has absolutely no experience doing big time stuff does not mean he can't play with the big boys. You gotta get that experience somehow. Rondo tore up the Spurs doing his best Tony Parker impression. Spurs up two after 3 with little momentum.

The tide turns a little in the Spurs favor when they start to actually take a lead in the fourth. With like five minutes left it looks like they can survive. PeePee then starts getting the best of Bowen and Sam I Alien proves that he still got game. All Cassell did was get open and shoot. When he tried to create for himself he sucked. When he chunked up shots he sucked. But when PeePee or Garnett found him open he sank his shot. Something that Stoudamire, Bowen and Horry can't seem to do this year.

Crunch time played out like this. After Cassell hits a 3 to give Celtics 89-87 lead with 47 seconds left the Spurs get the ball and start to run a play. Manu ends up taking a 3 too early in the clock with guy in his face and no offense whats so ever ran. If he hits it he's SUPER DUPER ALL UP IN YOUR FACE MANU SICKNESS GINOBILI. When he misses its the worst shot that you could take at that time. If the basketball gods weren't against him then, they were when his lay up didnt fall in on the next possession. Two free throws by the Celts and lay up by Tony ( the first one in a long time) and its a two point game.

Now comes something I thought I would never see in person at a Spurs game. The Spurs needed a steal or a Boston turnover to still win this game. Most players call a timeout if they cant inbound the ball but not Garnett. He goes for it and HOLY SHIT A STEAL OMG OMG OMG OMG we can actually win this! Bowen steals, gives it to Big Shot Rob for the win and....

NO.

Did I mention the girl in her skanky thong?
Timmeh getting outscored by Kevin Garnett isn't as bad as Le Frenchie getting outscored by Rajon Rondo.
Kurt Thomas deserves more minutes. He can Fab's or Horry's. It don't matter which he's better than both. His midrange shots are really flatfooted which means they're not really jumpshots are they?
Theres no doubt what Ime Udoka does someone else could do that exact same thing. Still he does his job well enough that he gets praise. Even with the crap statline.
Robert Horry is not worth keeping around just for clutch shots. I'm more comfortable with Manu or even Tony taking big shots down the stretch.
PJ Brown wears number 93. I don't know why he does my guess is thats his age. (lol old man joke)
It must suck to be Sam Cassell and get heckled by alien jokes for 14 years straight.
Ray Allen dresses like a senior citizen.

No One Likes Milwaukee

Better late than never, right?

So I feel safe to say no one on this team cares about playing the Milwaukee Bucks. They can really only muster up so much energy to barely win what should have been a really easy game. I don't know what our guys don't like about the team or the city. Are they not fans of beer, hunting and Brett Favre?

So even though were in a tight Western Conference race where every win in meaningful the Spurs started off the game with poo poo passes (10 tunovers in the first half), bad shots, and lazy defense. They're only down 47-51 at the break because hey its the Bucks, not the Pistons.

3rd quarter rolls around and they trade baskets for awhile. Then Bucks guard Maurice Williams, whom the Spurs decided was not worth guarding this evening, picks up a foul on Tony. He gets all up in the refs face. Says all sorts of foul things... I think. Either way he got the boot. So without their little ballhog the Bucks start to collapse and lose their 10 point lead. Pop decides to let guys run for awhile instead of taking 8 eights second every possession to run a play and its a 19-4 run. The Frenchie is a big part of this going up and down the court since no one can guard. Its great he can run again. Jubilations.

4th quarter. After being up 9, Spurs get lazy again start holding the ball for too long, bad passes and guys like Stoudamire and Finley are making old man mistakes and its a close game again. Nobodies like Royal Ivey and Charlie Bell attempt to get their 15 minutes of NBA fame by leading the comeback. Tony has amnesia and forgets how to hit a stinkin free throw. Then Manu Ginobili happened. A shot, a steal, and another shot. Game. Also Michael Redd missed a free throw in the clutch. This is a big deal as he is like a 1000% free throw shooter. True story.

Other thoughts

There are a lot of Spurs fans up in Milwaukee. You could hear them whenever they went up to the line. Whenever they panned out to show the whole arena you could see a lot jerseys and shirts. Also Fin still has a fanbase up there. Some people showed up in his old Mav uniform.

Timmy really doesn't like this place. 4-11 shooting 9 points 7 boards and five fouls. He also got pushed by Andrew Bogut like seven times. A solid -2 effort. GG

If you could combine Stoudamire and Vaughn, they might actually make a decent back up point. But since we can do that we gotta deal with one of them. This is not a win win situation.

The fans. Honestly did the Spurs 3 good players in this game? Everyone was below average.
Tony Parker. Would be number one for actually igniting the team in the 3rd. Except his Ben Wallace like performance at the line can't be ignored.
Manu Ginobili. 30/4/4 been there done that. VANQUISHED. Next please.
