Silver And Black Pride SOB, I'm calling you out on Fat Albert

you and I had our disagreement in July regarding Fat Albert. You also questioned Seymour for waiting to sign his offer sheet. Outside of a contract year, Fat Albert simply does not work where his selfish attitude gets the best of him. Next year, acquiring him for pittance, to see what shape he wants to be in, is fine but I would rather load up on OL.

i don't buy SOB and your agreement

about Fat Albert. Our DL as is works. The only question in my mind is – can they gel and add pressure. Will Marshall be more aggressive with blitzes. We have depth at LB and some size up front. Fat Albert is the “missing player” if you think that you can make a run in the playoffs with a strong veterant team. Not what we need to help our young players. Seymour was double teamed most of the season, we failed to take advantage of it. He’s a pro, signed his offer sheet, what’s the problem?

"The only question in my mind ...etc." Well, with Big Fat Albert, there won't be any question about the intererior

Henderson and Haynesworth would make it impregnable between tackles. With Seymour, Houston, Shaughnessy and Scott at DEs, our line would be in top 10.

Fat Albert

is done. It’s over. Let’s defer our argument until the end of the year to see if he gets any pro-bowler consideration. he doesn’t want to play. Naturally, I may be wrong but at this stage, you can not give up assets to bring him in. Let’s focus on the OL. “hard work beats talent unless talent works hard”.

... doesn't want to play? Oh, at NT, yes.

you're going to believe

him after he took more than $40mm in a year? He’s making excuses not to play: 3-4 or 4-3, line up already. Who does he think he is to start coaching in pre-season?If someone handed you over $40 mm with many more to go, would you care if you were double teamed and your personal sack totals were to take a dip? Not if your team is winning and the team D stats ranked top of the league. You simply can’t build around his attitude. Let’s agree to disagree. I can’t see my mind changing unless he has a pro bowl year. It’s a business, fine. I respect CJ and Revis taking a stand even if under contract as they’re outplaying their rookie contracts. They do not have enough guarantee money and an injury would devestate them. I’m fine with that and on a relative value, they deserve that contract. Fat Albert got PAID and suddenly he has differences of playing philosophy? You think he will ever be happy playing football regardless of position? The team is not right, the players, the fans, the weather, etc. I would much rather bringing in TO at a minimum salary with incentives and cutting him if he doesn’t work out.
