The second category in SI's poll links to several great rickrolls, most of which I'd never seen before. And if anyone has some good rickroll stories or videos they know of, I'd love to see them.

Beyond the box score ranks players by position

Here are Beyond the box score's rankings for first basemen (other positions are linked to on the beyond the box score page). The rankings are a combination of offensive stats, defensive stats, and position. As you can guess, it's not pretty for the Giants. Winn is ranked 5th best right fielder, but there's not much good news past that. Velez, Castillo, Bowker, Ochoa, etc. all are in the bottom 5 at their positions.

According to sfgiants.com, phelps signed a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. Another decent move to kick off the offseason. Low risk, moderate reward.

Giants scouting Japanese pitcher Junichi Tazawa

I don't think this has been posted yet, I just saw it on ESPN.com.
The giants were listed as one of several teams scouting the japanese amateur pitcher Junichi Tazawa.

The article says he is 5'11", and throws 88-93 with "so-so" control, and has a curve and forkball.

McMains and Wald release album "Down on the Farm"

While I was on MILB.com, I stumbled across an article mentioning Derin Mcmains and Jake Wald's second album, "Down on the Farm," about life in the minors. Wald plays the guitar while McMains sings.
