First Fan Post. This trade helps both teams. Bynum helps rebounding deficit and give both defense and offense. Lakers move Gasol to center and they get help in front court with KG who is still very competent. They also get the point guard they have been after. Also clears up some cap space to go after Dwight next year with KG's contract coming off the books.. As far as cap numbers my guess is Bynum and the trade exception that lakers have gets them close to the salaries of rondo and KG. Might need filler. Or Lakers give Minny first rounder and Beasley comes to Boston if Lakers need to keep trade exception. This is the general concept.

Bill Simmons suggests that PP might sign a three year deal for 51M or 17M per year. I would suggest that PP could command a 10m/3year contract after his present contract expires. So I agree with the 51M but over 4 years (21M+30M=51M).

So if PP was to accept a 4 year deal starting at about 10M this year with approximately 2M year increases(assuming this is allowed under the salary cap) then PP gets his money, remains with the Celts and the team receives salary cap relief starting July 1st and therefore it puts the team in decent position to sign a talented player.
