In my first mock I had us doing a trade with The Dallas Cowboys to get a 4th this draft as well as a 1st and 2nd next draft. In this mock I'll be keeping both our 1st rounders....

Round 1A S Kenny Vaccaro

Round 4 OG Alvin Bailey

I couldn't find a highlight video of Bailey so I will copy and paste a overview and analysis from CBSsports.com

OVERVIEW

One of the biggest (literally and figuratively) reasons for Arkansas' success on offense has been the stellar play of junior guard Alvin Bailey. Since redshirting in 2009, Bailey has started all 26 games of his career, earning SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week last season against New Mexico and earning second team honors from the conference coaches for the season, overall.

While Bailey typically lines up at right guard, Arkansas frequently switches its linemen for strong-side and weak-side responsibilities, so Bailey has experience on the left side, as well.

ANALYSIS

A naturally massive man, Bailey shows impressive quickness off the snap and can knock defenders off the ball in the running game. He's athletic enough to handle blocking on the move - a requirement in an Arkansas scheme that often requires the guards to pull and block at the second level.

While quick enough to get out in space, Bailey struggles to re-direct if the defenders sees him coming and often is forced to lunge at his opponent, resulting in some impressive knock-down blocks but also an occasional miss. The talent and poise of skill position players around him has helped Bailey in pass protection as he has a tendency to stop moving his feet and attempt to control his opponent with just his size and strength.

For a big man, however, Bailey shows the ability to block low enough to anchor. He still needs to refine his game but could earn top 100 consideration in either the 2013 or 2014 draft should he continue to develop

Rounds 5 and 6 are the same as my last mock

Round 7 WR T.J. Moe

All Mocked Out

So in this mock Tavon Austin and Cordarrelle Patterson have been drafted already..

1.16 Trade Fisher calls up Jerry Jones and offers him pick #16 for his 1st in 2014 and his 2nd this year, Jerry Jones thinks about the trade but then remembers that he wants to reunite his boy Claiborne who he moved up for last draft with FS Eric Reid and CB Tyrann Matheiu to solidify his secondary, so he cant trade us his 2nd round pick. "C'mon Jeff I have a plan in place already, what would it take for me to keep my 2nd rounder?" Fisher says "hold up" covers the phone and hollers at Les.... they talk for a few seconds and come up with a conclusion.. Fisher gets back on the phone and says "Jerry its your lucky day and Im in a good mood, I tell you what im gonna do. Ima hook u up like I did last season. you can keep your 2nd rounder and its only gonna cost u a 4th this year and your 2nd next year.. what do you say Jerry? You're getting the 4 players you want in 3 rounds for next to nothing".. Jerry thinks about it and says "Jeff, you got yourself a deal!" both whisper "sucker" at the same time as they hang up the phone. So now the Rams have 3 1st and 2 2nds in next years draft and a extra 4th this draft.

1.22 CB Desmond Trufant

With the loss of CB Bradley Fletcher and the additions of WRs Percy Harvin and Aquan Boldin in the NFC West, Fisher knows he needs to upgrade the fire power in our secondary.

Not your typical draft but hey it's my mock and I'll.. Cry if I want to? Wait, that don't sound right but u get my point lol

Offseason

Re-signings

RB Steven Jackson

Steven Jackson IS our running game. Enough said.

WR Brandon Gibson

Gibby is a good depth guy and has made some nice catches thru out his time with the Rams. Welcome back Gibby :)

QB Kellen Clemons

Knows the system so he gets a 1yr vet minimum contract..

LB Rocky Mcintosh

He's better then Haggan and we need LB help, sign'em to a 1yr vet minimum contract for depth

LB Justin Cole

Brought back for special teams

LB Sammy Brown

We need the help, he's back to compete

OT Barry Richardson

Good run blocker.. That is all.. 1yr vet minimum contract for depth

OG Robert Turner

Played well at guard and center. Welcome back

OG Chris Williams

Brought back for depth

C Tim Barnes

Not sure about him but he's cheap so bring'em back for depth

DT Trevor Laws

Don't know what we have in Laws so bring him back to compete in training camp

DT Jermelle Cudjo

Good rotational player, no real threat in going anywhere else.. He's back

S Darian Stewart

Brought back to compete for starting position

TE Mike McNeill

Not sure how I feel about Mike.. Think long, think wrong.. Let'em walk.. Wait, should be cheap. Bring him back.

Hard to let them walk

WR Danny Amendola

I love Danny, You love Danny, We all love Danny but signing him to a long term contract is a big risk due to his injury history. He's missed 20 of the last 32 games. He is the Rams best wide receiver when he's on the field but that's only about 6 games a season. Not worth it in my opinion unless the Rams can some how get him to sign a year to year/pay for production contract with little guaranteed money but I doubt that will happen so I say let Danny walk..

CB Bradley Fletcher

He's good enough to start for another team and will be too expensive to be kept as a back-up for the Rams. Good luck with your next team Fletch..

DE William Hayes

7 sacks and solid against the run, Hayes is by far our best bench player but just like Fletcher he'll be too expensive to be kept as a back up. Hayes will get a lot of attention from other teams for a possible starting position, he wont get that from the Rams. It was fun while it lasted and good luck..

Hard to see in a Rams Uni

S Craig Dahl

Kick rocks homie!

WR Steve Smith

The biggest disappointment this offseason.. Goodbye

LB Mario Haggan

Nothing special.. Let'em walk

Increasing cap space

FS Quintin Mikell/OT Wayne Hunter

Rams approach both players about restructuring their contracts and are successful :)

The draft

The NFC west is no longer the worst division in football. Both the 49ers and Seahawks made the playoffs and have really good defenses. The 49ers and Seahawks are also 1st and 2nd in points allowed this season. If the Rams want to compete for the NFC West title they need to seriously upgrade the offense. Scoring points and not allowing points scored on you is how you win football games. The Rams are 14th in allowed points and 25th in points scored.. The offense really needs to play catch up with the defense and thats why my picks are what they are instead of the sexy picks like FS, DT or OLB with our first three picks.

Round 1A OT Lane Johnson

With Fisher seeming to be out of reach and a big need at tackel Lane Johnson has to be my pick here.. Johnson is a raw prospect but is moving up draft boards fast. He's a project but the kid has a lot of potential. A good project for Paul Boudreau.. I see Johnson playing RT in 2013 and replacing the injury prone Saffold at LT who will be a free agent in 2014

Offensive Line

LT Saffold LG Rok C Wells RG Dahl RT Johnson

Round 1B WR Tavon Austin

The most versatile player in the draft. In college Austin played running back, wide receiver and was a return specialist. Dangerous in the screen game and a mismatch in the slot Austin could really beef up the offense. Some might knock Austin because he's only 5'9 but so is Steve Smith (Panthers) and Wes Welker (Patriots) both players are solid #1's for their teams.

Round 2 WR Da'Rick Rogers

Rogers is 1st round talent but will fall to the 2nd due to failed drug tests. Rogers could be our Janoris Jenkins pick in this draft. Called a Julio Jones clone it's a no brainier here.

Wide Receivers

Brian Quick, Chris Givens, Tavon Austin, Da'Rick Rogers, Brandon Gibson and Austin Pettis

Round 3 OLB Sean Porter

He's fast and has great coverage skills. Porter will play WLB and Dunbar can be moved to SLB where he played with the Saints.

Linebackers

WLB Sean Porter MLB JL55 SLB Dunbar

Round 4 FS D.J. Swearinger

Another versatile player, he can play press man corner or defend the deep pass as a free safety. With the Rams front four and stud corners Swearinger will fit right at home as he had similar talents around him in college.

Safety's

FS Swearinger SS Mikell

Round 5 CB Tyann Mathieu

Everyone knows about this kid.. Way too much talent to pass up here

Corners

Finnegan, Jenkins, Johnson, Mathieu

Round 6 DT Josh Boyd

Solid run stuffer and is capable of taking on double teams.. Nice project for Waufle

Round 7 DE Eric Martin

Offseason

I know pre-season just got started and I'm probably getting waaaaay ahead of myself here by doing a mock draft in August but I'm home alone and I'm also bored as shit :/ As I was sitting on my love seat (which I turned into a one seat because I'm a big dude lol) watching the infamous show Gangland. I started thinking about my beloved Rams and our horrendous offensive line. An offensive line so bad that Jason "My Head Hurts" Smith is our starting right tackle.... I just lost my train of thought typing in Smith and starting right tackle... Anyways our Oline sucks and I'm hoping for a 7-9 or 8-8 season.. GO RAMS!! Here is what I'm hoping our 2013 draft will look like.. I only did four rounds.. most will hate it because I didn't draft a WR in the 1st but IMO Oline is a bigger issue and I'm really really hoping that Quick and Givens tear it up for us :) I'll leave some notes for each player that I found on Walter Football..

1st: OT Chris Faulk (LT)

Faulk had an excellent sophomore season at left tackle for LSU. He was a good pass blocker and a road grader of a run blocker. Faulk has a lot of athletic ability and the potential to be a special player. He had some issues in pass protection in the National Championship Game against Alabama. His first performance of the year against the Crimson Tide was much better.

Faulk saw his first playing time as a redshirt freshman in 2010, making two starts at right tackle. He competed and won the left tackle starting position leading into the 2011 season. If Faulk can improve his pass protection, he could go early in the first-round next April. There is no reason to think that Faulk won't continue to improve as he gains experience.

1st: T/G/C Barrett Jones (LG)

Jones had a tremendous junior season at left tackle and it has really elevated his draft stock. In his biggest test of 2011, Jones was playing very well against LSU before he sustained an ankle injury in the second half. Early in the evening, Jones was doing a phenomenal job of run blocking for Trent Richardson, and Alabama had a lot of success running behind Jones. He also wasn't getting help with LSU's speed rushers on the edge, and Jones was rock solid not allowing a sack or pressure. He had another good game in the National Championship

Jones moved to left tackle last season after playing guard the previous two years. His transisition was flawless. He did a fabulous job of run blocking for Trent Richardson, and was equally good in pass protection. Jones is an intelligent player who has the physical tools to be effective. Interestingly, Alabama has moved Jones to center for his senior season. He is extremely smart and versatile. It will be interesting to see where Jones plays in the NFL, but he definitely could play guard.

Jones started 14 games at guard in 2009 as a redshirt freshman and Ingram ran his way to a Heisman. Jones stayed at right guard and started 11 games there in 2010. He was named as a First-Team All-SEC selection last season.

2: OLB Sean Porter (SLB)

After the Aggies lost Von Miller to the NFL, Porter was looked at to be a replacement in 2011. In his junior season, Porter did an admirable job of replacing Miller. Porter was a dangerous edge rusher and used his speed to fly around the field. He totaled 79 tackles with 17 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Porter played well against good teams and respectable offensive tackles. He recorded five sacks against Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Baylor. All three of those teams have offensive tackles that are well regarded. Heading into November, Porter had 8.5 sacks and looked poised to compile a total in the teens. However, he had a streak of four games late in the season that he didn't record a sack. In those games, he still was around the ball and had quality tackle totals with four tackles for a loss. He ended the season well against Northwestern with six tackles and a sack.
Porter is a seek-and-destroy defender who flies around the field chasing down ball carriers. His biggest strength is his ability to rush the quarterback off the edge. Porter plays well in space and is not a liability dropping into pass coverage, although he is a much bigger difference-maker rushing the quarterback.

Porter needs to add weight for the NFL. It would be ideal if he could gain 10-20 pounds to hold up on the edge. At times, he can get washed out of plays in run defense when offensive linemen get their hands on him.

3: S Matt Elam (SS)

Elam is an underrated college football player. When watching Florida, he really stands out as a big time presence who is all over the field. Elam was the top recruit in the state of Florida coming out of high school, and he has been validating that standing through his tenure as a Gator.

Elam earned his first playing time as a true freshman and earned even more as the year progressed. Eventually, he started in place of disappointing junior Will Hill. Elam recorded 22 tackles in 2010 with a sack and a pass broken up. He improved in 2011 and was the best player on Florida's defense. He recorded 78 tackles with 11 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, seven passes broken up and two forced fumbles.

Elam is a fast, instinctive playmaker defending the pass in the deep part of the field. He also operates well near the line of scrimmage and is a physical run defender. Elam has a high ceiling and could turn into a highly-touted prospect in 2013 or 2014.

4: C Graham Pocic (Back up for Wells and possible starter with the right coaching, not liking what Wells is bringing to the table right now)

Pocic started the past two seasons at center for Illinois. He has some real athleticism. Pocic did a good job of blocking for Mikel Leshoure in 2010. Pocic needs to improve his strength, but he has the height and frame to be able to add more mass.
