Fake Teams Chris Young or Mark DeRosa?

Okay so I have a delima to present today.  I am in a 8 team league with some of my friends and my friend offered me a trade for Mark DeRosa.  Would it be a good deal for me to accept this trade?  I have plenty of depth in the outfield with people like Ibanez on the bench and Heyward as my utility man so I have some options when someone inevitably gets hurt later on in the season.  So what do you think?

LeBron is really turning (or has turned) into a good all around player. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up next summer.

Rufus on Fire Allen Iverson Waived by the Grizz

Allen Iverson has been waived by the Grizzlies according to an article on the sbnation homepage.  Here to be exact: http://www.sbnation.com/2009/10/8/1076194/allen-iverson-injury-hamstring-three-weeks#sources-grizzlies-iverson-to

I don't really know what the Bobcats would have to do to sign him but we thought that he might want to finish his career with LB and now he has that chance.  Sure it may take playing time away from the younger players but, hey LB wouldn't give them much time anyways.  So what do you think?

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Indians and Dodgers are "seriously discussing" a potential blockbuster deal that would send both Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez to the Dodgers in exchange for James Loney, one of the Dodgers' young starting pitchers, and prospects.

"I think at this point, it's probably unlikely that we'll trade Doc," general manager J.P. Ricciardi said. "As you get closer and closer to the deadline, no one's really stepped up yet, and at that point, I think time starts running out on you.

"We've got to be highly motivated to move him, so we haven't been highly motivated yet."

I find it sad that the only teams that had less fans at the game on Tuesday were the Marlins and the Pirates

DRaysBay Anyone opposed to a Draysbay Facebook fan page?

Just wondering if anyone felt strongly one way or another towards a fan page on Facebook. Personally I think it would be cool but I want other people's opinions. If there would not be any fans it would be a waste of time so I would like feedback please.  And now I have to take up space because I have nothing more of value to say.

~Thanks and lets go Rays!

DRaysBay Personnel Decisions

With Pat Burrell starting his rehab assignment this week it brings to the table the question of who will get sent down when all of the players on the DL return.

Here are the likely candidates and their stats over the last seven games:

Joe Dillon:

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
4 11 1 5 0 0 1 1 0 2 0 0 .455 .455 .727 1.182

Gabe Kapler:

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
4 5 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 1 0 1 .000 .286 .000 .286

Reid Brignac:

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
5 15 1 4 1 1 0 0 1 4 0 1 .267 .313 .467 .779

Matt  Joyce

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
4 15 2 5 1 0 2 5 0 3 1 0 .333 .333 .800 1.133

The obvious choice is Gabe Kapler as the first when Pat comes back but I'm not sure Joe Maddon would want to lose him because he still thinks he can hit (HA).

What do you guys think?
