Most niners fans are spending this Monday thinking up ways to chalk up Sunday as a "moral victory" and "a good effort." These exercises are, in the end, useless because the 49ers once again are without a quarterback who can concomitantly lead an NFL team. Hill looked awful against a cellar dwelling d. I know the Alex Smith bandwagon is overflowing with newcomers, but the fact is the niners have less of a definitive starting quarterback than they did in the preseason.
