Dear Customers We wanted to highlight that due to our live coverage of Paris-Nice this week, we will not be carrying Tirreno-Adriatico concurrently. Our objective is to deliver the best experience possible for our customers around Paris-Nice, and avoid any conflict with the live coverage, and video on demand. Tirreno-Adriatico has been a race 'to be confirmed' for some time, but we wanted to flag up our decision to focus solely on P-N in the best interests of our customers. A formal apology from Cycling TV.

Dear customers,

We are aware of the video streaming quality issues that impacted on our valued customers’ viewing experience during the weekend of February 27. We have been investigating these issues, and unfortunately these problems related to the Cycling TV content distribution network.

We are working closely with our content distribution network (CDN) partner to ensure that every effort is being directed at resolving the issues and improving the consistency of our live stream quality this week.

We are planning to migrate to a more robust CDN in the next few weeks which best meets our needs, especially given our global audience. We have partnered with marketplace leaders in the content delivery space, and we expect to see marked improvement for our subscribers moving forward.

Having seen – and received customer feedback - highlighting a marked improvement in our live broadcast over the last six months, and having invested significantly in to our technology platform, it is very disappointing to have experienced the weekend’s problems.

We take full responsibility for the problems that arose, and apologise to you sincerely.

The Tour Down Under kicks off this weekend which we're pretty excited about! Here's all the details you need to watch online with Cycling TV...

[Chris here...] This is probably a good place to point out that we will have live threads open for every stage, including the first live thread of 2009 (for the road, that is) during Sunday's race.

The Tour Down Under marks the beginning of the professional road cycling season and this year has caused quite a stir with the shock entrance of Lance Armstrong, who will make his come-back appearance in Australia. Coming at a time when a solid preparation for the early season races is essential for riders hoping to take a classic win or the Pro Tour competition leader’s jersey, the race is ideal training for the sport’s big names with its high level of racing and very professional organisation. Lance has definitely stolen the spotlight ahead of the 2009 edition but we mustn’t forget the other big-name stars who have graced this typically sun-drenched course over the years including Robbie McEwen and Stuart O’Grady, never failing to put on a spectacular show.

Half a million Australian spectators turned out last year for the rare opportunity to see their favourite stars up close on their home continent. With a wide variety of other events to interest fans, the region has embraced the race as a Festival of Cycling like no other and the Tour Down Under is always a fantastic one for the spectators, which is why we’re so excited about bringing you all the daily action.
