Golden State Of Mind SLAM online's Hawaii blog

Just finished going through Lang's posts from Hawaii and had to share them.

http://slamonline.com/online/category/columnists/the-links/

His game recaps are unstoppable.

In honor of our entertaining pre-season victories over the very tired seeming Lake show I will once again pitch for this new era of the Warriors be known as Go Time.  We are mos definitely the new Showtime team in the league but are too G Gully to take over the Southern moniker.

Golden State Of Mind Contact TNT RE: Dick Stockton

tnt@turner.com

If you're dying a bit inside every time you have to listen to Dick Stockton call a game I encourage you to write to tnt about it, I did.  Having Marv in the Town for game 6 was such an improvement.  Who knows if we'll get through to the massive TNT machine but it's worth a minute to try.

Stay up, Friday's another chance to watch the boys do their thing.  The Jazz are stronger than dirt but we'll bring it to 'em at home.

Go Warriors!

Golden State Of Mind Hype from the Jet

Here's some more "Jet" fuel for everyone's fire.  Jason Terry evidently writes or wrote a journal and it's up on True Hoop.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-23-129/JET-s-Journal--Jason-Eugene-Terry-Speaks.html

He walked it last game and is talking it there.  Now it's up to the DUBS to put the shook back in Dallas's game.  The stage will be set for the boys to tear them up, GO DUBS!

True Hoop is one of the best basketball spots on the web by the way.  If you're killing time on a computer you owe it to yourself to put it into rotation.

Golden State Of Mind Great short piece on the crazy Wizards finish

I found a link to this on true hoop and had to share it with you guys.  The clear breakdown of the chain of events leading to the T is cool but the best part is the interactions between Butler, Nellie, the Refs and especially Matt Barnes and Gilbert.  I love the last line about Matt.  I like Matt a whole heck of a lot.  It's kinda funny how he gets so fired up that he loses perspective (remember those scuffles he was getting in last month?).

Golden State Of Mind the kings didn't look ready

from where i was sitting at the game last night it was all warriors.  this was the best seat i've ever had, three rows up flush against the right hand side of the warriors tunnel.

the team looks like they're having fun.  during the warm up j rich and baron were messing around with monta like he's their kid brother.

from the tip off things were exciting.  tnt might have cut it off but one of the first warriors buckets came from an impossibly high alley oop from baron to pietrus.  i saw the eye contact and the pass...too high, no way...but pietrus can freakin' leap.  all action from there on out.

things that caught my attention:
* zarko had on a pretty nice tie
* adonal hugged more kids than thunder
* don nelson is a magnificant beast up close
* ab is really looking under control and poised in the paint, people get excited when he gets the ball down low
* despite the turnovers baron's ball control is insane.  i watched him dribble through snarled traffic like it was no thing multiple times.
* we're at our fastest and most potent with ellis at point and baron roaming right now.  the running offense basically shut down when we had to rest ellis
* andris really is a defensive force and he made great stops and challenged anyone driving.  near the end of the game the defense chants were loud and clear and we created turnovers...warriors fans are pumped about the blocks and steals.
* kieth mcleod is not working with the system, he looks lost.
* we've got hustle for days
* i was pleased to report that dunleavy did not get boo'ed (if he did it wasn't rampant or very loud).  there were major cheers for his contributions and good natured chuckles when he fell (hard) on his ass.
* pietrus is everywhere
* baron likes being on tnt.  it looked like show time north last night.  he got 2nd on sportscenter's top ten for his behind the back pass fake to a layup on a two on one fast break.
* kevin martin is slick

i'll stop but i just have to say that it was nuts in the oracle last night.  i was out of my seat every couple of plays.
