undrafted FA's id like to see danny take a look at.
There were a few names i didnt hear called during the draft that i like. Id like to see danny take a gander at them, if we have an open roster spot, even if they end up in maine, adding a younger player wouldnt hurt.
option 3: BLOW IT ↑
ok, ive given you the big 4 with younger vets option and the bigs 4 with a young vet and young players, now im giving you the blown up idea. its what some of the fans wanted so sit back this fire is going to get hot.
younger, improved team, take 2
ok, awhile back i did a trade to get younger players for davis. this time i flip it up a little bit but still keep it real.
i cant find it anywhere but im pretty sure you can send up to $3m in cash in trades so im using that notion.
my idea to get younger
ok, so here's my idea to get younger and still be a championship team next season, not to mention stay competetive the following year.
if you had to make an alternative celtic jersey, whats it look like?
ok, make up some ideas for a new celtics jersey because i cant stand the black and green ones and im bored.
detroit a possible trade partner for sheed?
Detroit is said to be shopping both Gordon and Villanueva after recently signing them. i think adding the 6-11 villanueva for rasheed would be a pretty good pickup. he gives us size, he can shoot, decent rebounder, can hit FT's and runs the floor pretty well. he's also locked up for 3 years with a player option for a 4th. he's capable of playing SF if we need him to or if we go small. he gives us another scorer off the bench. we add a center with teh MLE and we could have a decent team
Rumor: Raptors, Cavs Might Agree to Sign and Trade for Bosh
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5357607
Bosh for varajeo, hickson, parker and/or west and maybe a draft pick.
assuming Bosh agrees to go to Cleveland and that likely depends on Lebron they could have a much improved team.
Bosh is an upgrade over Jamison and seeing as Bosh doesnt like playing center i see Jamison getting traded. if Bosh decides he would play center then thats a decent 3-4-5 combo although they will struggle with the more physical teams inside.
so i looked at the Cleveland roster and PG and SG are their biggest weakness. williams is a good shooter but thats all he has. Jamison for Tony Parker works money wise and the spurs have been shopping him. if Jamison gets traded this would be a decent trade for both teams.
if Bosh plays center, i see the Cav's going after a SG, Ray Allen, J.J. redick are teh two i see them going hard after.
either scenerio they have an improved team.
Bosh, Jamison, Lebron, ?Ray, Redick?, Williams
Z/Shaq?, Bosh, Lebron, ?Williams?, Parker << there were rumors earlier in the offseason of Williams for Ben Gordon, that would be an improvement also. they could do something with the MLE too if they dont use it on Shaq
the East will look different this year either way, interesting yes, Boston though if healthy and can play good defence without coach T still have a chance, IMO. this Cav's team could be pretty good though, i guess it depends on if Bosh feels more comfortable with miami/wade, cav's/lebron, bulls/rose-noah or a surprise team....
sign and trade robinson for an unwanted contract and a big?
we can sign nate robinson to an increased contract of up to $6.3m first year i believe and we can take back up to 25% on top of that in trade meaning we could take back around $8m in trade. there has to be a team out there that wants a pg who can light up the scoreboard. there are two deals that really interest me.
1) GS, ronny turiaf and anthony randolph, both 6'10+. turiaf has fallen out of favor with GS at times and if not for the injury to beidrins might not be there. randolph was almost shipped to minnesota before the draft so he should still be available. together they make $5.9m. id be willing to trade robinson and a future pick for that. turiaf is a hustler, scrapper, hard working player who doesnt mind the bench. randolph has showed alot of potential, especially on the offensive end but needs to work on passing the ball more.
2) rockets, jared jeffries and jordan hill. the rockets are said to want to go hard after joe johnson and chris bosh, so moving salary is on their mind. jeffries has an expiring deal at $6.8m and hills deal is worth $2.6. over what we can take back so we would need to figure something out. maybe even signing harangody to a slightly larger deal ($900,000?) and involving him in the deal. again, id even add in a future pick if need be. hill showed alot of improvement and potential last year for teh rockets. jeffries could be a defensive player for us as he is capable of playing all 5 positions and i believe has in the past and his deal would be off the books next year.
either way, id rather do these deals than add an over the hill be still effective at times shaq or brad miller. just trying to get creative, think like a GM who has moves up his sleeve and pass the time. what do you guys think?
