I was pretty pumped to be able to go to a day game during the week with camera in tow, little did I know I was due to see a meltdown of epic proportions.

Kiker was just awful, he couldn't locate pitches and wasn't leaving the mid 80s on the fastball  which didn't go well with the 78-80mph change. Balls were going high, they were bouncing in the dirt 3 feet before the plate but did't have much luck crossing the plate for strikes.

Teagarden was playing after being sent down from OKC, falling even further away from his opening day spot with the Rangers. He proved that he hasn't forgotten how to hit but the pitchers need to be AA pitchers.

Flores, Snyder and Reed tried to clean up the pitching mess but didn't have much success and neither did the Rough Riders offense.

Some pictures I took at the final spring training exhibition game between the Rangers and Royals at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco,Tx.

Was a nice sunny day outside, it's unfortunate that the Rangers imploded once Ray came into the game.

Vlad and Cruz looked really good and seemed to get a hit or make contact every time up, Hamilton not so much.

Hamilton was swinging at some really awful pitches.

Photos from the 2009 Texas League All-Star Game in Frisco,Tx.

There are many pictures from the Home Run derby, some from the game and some post game fireworks shots.

Overall it was a good night. Team North won the game 2-1 and Mark Trumbo of NW Arkansas won the home run derby edging out Chris Carter.

Kiker was impressive in his 1 inning of work and Latos has some good stuff. Rough Rider Craig Gentry had a nice over the shoulder catch in center.

Just thought I'd post an FYI. The Rangers winter caravan hits frisco today.

They will be at the Dr. Pepper ballpark 1:30- 3pm today.

"Saturday, January 19 marks the sixth annual visit to Dr Pepper Ballpark by the Texas Rangers Round Up Winter Caravan. Frisco RoughRiders fans can take this opportunity to choose a ticket plan and select their seats for the upcoming season in addition to getting autographs from some of their favorite Rangers.

The gates will open at 1:00 PM and RoughRiders sales staff will be on hand to assist fans in selecting their seats.

I know this is way way off topic but I figure it's Sunday and there's no football on so why not. I have been in the market for an HDTV for several month's and there are just too many different choices out there (plasma,lcd,dlp,lcos,etc). I currently have SD directv with tivo, and will probably have that until i can get an appointment to have them install hd with dvr, so until then I'll be relying on OTA hdtv and standard def directv.  I was just curious what types of hdtv's users of this site had and recommended.

DENVER -- Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in downtown Denver early Monday morning, police said.

Team spokesman Jim Saccomano said police called him about 3 a.m. Mountain Time from the scene of the shooting and told him three people had been shot and that Williams had been killed.

I starting to think the chances of him re-signing are slim to nill, as i dont think hicks is willing to drop that kind of cash on him. So what are the odds that Lee gets flipped in another deal soon, perhaps for some stud prospects?

From what I have read the brewers were asking for mlb level players to improve their team now, and had been offered several prospect deals, including a deal with 2 pitchers from the twins.

So does anyone think JD is now fielding calls from those teams and maybe gets a top prospect or two from a contender?
