You've probably all seen this anyway but I thought it was noteworthy. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this hit and I've watched it at least ten times. Donald Jones looks like he can make the catch and stay in bounds, so Moore is committed to the tackle. He hits him shoulder-to-shoulder, no helmet contact at all. But because of this new "defenseless receiver" rule, apparently defenders are forced to wait until the reciever is ready and prepared to be hit. Health and safety gone mad, if you ask me.

The conspirator in me would say the league is cracking down on big hits so that they can claim the game is safer and push for an 18-game schedule. Maybe defenders should say excuse me and ask politely for the runner to kneel too? Thoughts?
