Bobby Lowder Booted
In what will surely be the biggest college football news you will not hear about from the main media this summer, Alabama Senate President Del Marsh said this week that Auburn super-booster Bobby Lowder’s re-nomination for the Auburn Board of Trustees will not go through.

"Toomer's For Tuscaloosa" rolls into T-Town...
Organizer Warren Tidwell and other volunteers of the Tide For Toomer’s disaster relief effort have secured a 28,000 square foot warehouse for receiving and sorting supplies, which according to Tidwell have come from as far away as The Netherlands.
"There’s a van coming from LSU and a group from UCLA coming," Tidwell says.

Ready for another hype video to help further enhance your almost unbearable anticipation?
Alabama vs. Michigan in 2012?
Very interesting to say the least...
ed. - As awesome as this would be, I'm going to keep my skeptical hat on for the moment for two reasons:
1) As Cook points out, that would leave Michigan with only 6 home games, and even considering the money made from the TV deal would likely mitigate any real monetary losses from losing a home game, big time programs are still loathe to drop below seven home games.
2) From the Alabama side, we've heard plenty of rumors of a 2012 opener in Dallas (UCLA and Texas Tech being the two biggest), so it seems a little odd that such a huge match up could have been kept quiet for so long (according to Cook, the deal will be inked tomorrow). Still, we've been looking for a big name OOC opponent for 2012 and UM certainly fits the bill. Guess we'll know more soon.
UPDATE: Estes tried to run down a source at UA to confirm or deny the Michigan rumors, and all he can get is that the matchup is "being considered" but no deal is close to being finalized at this point. Like I said before, we've heard rumors about several different teams and locations for the 2012 opener, so it would be highly unlikely that inking a deal with Michigan would have been kept under wraps right up 'til the deal is signed.

Did anyone see the Courtney Cox "Cougar Town" commercial before the BCSNCG?
For those of you who don't know, Courtney Cox is originally from Birmingham and she's an avid Alabama fan.
A commercial aired prior to the BCSNCG, promoting her show "Cougar Town" and during the commercial she is wearing an Alabama jersey along with a Houndstooth Hat. Her co-star comments on her outfit and then proceeded to ask, "You must like football" where she responded, "I'm from Alabama... Roll Tide!"
I was wondering if anyone else had seen this and if so, knew of where we could watch this commercial online.

Alabama Crimson Tide 2009: A Season To Remember
Does anyone know where (or even if) I can download Alabama games at?
Does anyone know where or if I can download Alabama games at online, either legally or illegally (preferably from THIS current season)? If anyone knows of any particular sites, or torrents, I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could lend me the information.
If any of you are familiar with any type of post-production software, I have recently purchased Adobe After Effects and I'm eager to put together a series of (freaking awesome) Alabama videos, but the one thing I lack is decent footage.
Thanks and Roll Tide!
Hope you guys enjoy!
E.B. Beaumont, everything ok?
I've noticed neither Bryant Drive nor Church of Saban (not sure if you're ahead of that department as well but I do know you guys are somehow affiliated) have been updated in a while. I've also noticed you've been invisible on this site as well for quite some time.
I hope everything is alright and I just wanted to let you know that we miss your hilarious insight on the latest and breaking UA news.
Roll Tide!
The 'Bama Invasion
This may sound a bit random, then again, giving it's the weekend of the Iron Bowl, anything less than ridiculously crazy is unexpected.
With that being said, for those of you who are making the dreaded tip to cow town this Friday night, listen up: At approximately 10:30PM (EASTERN Standard Time), 'Bama fans (as many as possible) are being asked to meet up at Toomer's Corner, outside of Toomer's Drugs, for an Alabama Invasion as we plan to march all through and around downtown Aubarn, proudly holding various Crimson Tide signs, flags, and banners.
This may sound nuts, but not even those jacked up truck driving, backwoods, down-home, brain-dead, rodeo patrons, Alabama Polytechnic Institute rednecks are going to hinder us from displaying our proud Bama pride. Let's take their pathetic little 3 foot town over (as we usually do)!
I hope to see you guys there!
