This guy was just cut by the Bills, Michael Jasper. The dude is huge at 6'4" 375, and played his last year at college at 420-430. He's a OG/DT, and the Bills had him as a project on the P.S. as a guard, and I think the Jags should take a look at him, can't hurt to put him on the P.S. for a year. http://buffalowdown.com/2011/05/01/michael-jasper-who-the-heck-is-this-guy/ Pro Day: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profilexnews.php?pyid=115202&draftyear=2011&genpos=OG

Rhett's 53 man roster 2.0

I'm going to do one of these after every preseason game, so 3.0 will be next weekend, 4.0 the following, and the final after that.

Middle of the pack: Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Redskins Buffalo has been so bad on defense for so long and they continue to adjust their scheme. I need to see it to believe it. Atlanta and Jacksonville lack the pass rushers to be elite. The Jaguars defense overachieved last year. There is some sleeper potential in Oakland if Dennis Allen is legit. It's been a while since Washington's Jim Haslett ran a difference-making unit.

MOVING OVER John Estes said he doesn’t mind the move, and in fact, he welcomes the chance. Estes, the Jaguars’ backup center, worked extensively with the starting lineup at guard Monday morning during the team’s padded practice at the Florida Blue Health and Wellness Practice Fields. Estes, a three-year veteran from Hawaii, said he worked at guard at times this past off-season during organized team activities, and the team worked him with the starters Monday in the wake of injuries to starting guard Will Rackley (high-ankle sprain) and reserve Jason Spitz (sprained foot).

Is it possible Jordan Palmer is the #2 QB?

Ok. I havn't been to any practices as I live in Jersey. But I keep consistently reading in training camp reports and on twitter that Chad Henne keeps making horrendous throws into the dirt, and...

Is Maurice's holdout helping the Jaguars?

As we all know by now, Maurice Jones-Drew is holding out, because he wants a new contract, one that would extend his tenure with the team and give him more money. Because Maurice wasn't...

Skip to 1:32 to see Mr. Mince absolutely just rape Lee Barbiasz. Skip to 3:15 to see Jeris Pendleton push Mike Brewster 3 yards back.

Scott from Grenada: Now that we've got pads on, can you give some insight into how Branch looks so far? John: Bear in mind the Jaguars were only in shoulder pads Monday morning. The full pads go on for the first time today. Still, the Jaguars liked what they saw from Andre Branch Monday and there continues to be a strong feeling in the building that he is the real deal. He’s tougher than the Jaguars anticipated, and he appears to be better against the run than was expected, too. It’s still early, but the excitement about this guy is high.

This team entered the draft, with two huge needs. Defensive End and Wide Receiver. Everybody knew that, from JAX to New York, everybody knew it. Nobody realized what our 3rd major need, was and...

Sport Science: Justin Blackmon. Pretty sick. He can get up higher than Plaxico Burress can to grab a football, and can make some really acrobatic catches.

"Yea you know, it's funny. Every receiver coach, that I've had since I've been in the league, has trained under Jerry Sullivan. So I knew about him before, I ever met him. A lot of players have talked about him. He's coached, you know, a number of guys through out the league, and throughout his career, so his reputation truly proceeded him, and I think it's a tremendous opportunity, and a really good blessing for me to just get a chance to work with him, and go through this journey."
