I've been a fan of the Dallas Cowboys since I was 4 and saw Staubach throw to Golden Richards.
I've been a fan of the Texas Rangers soon after the Cowboys, rooting for Toby Harrah, Jeff Burroughs and Charlie Hough.
I've been a Jayhawks fan since the year after I graduated from high school, when I enrolled at KU. I won't say I went to school there because that'd be a lie, but what little I remember of that year was great.
I've been a Manchester United fan since a buddy of mine said he hated them more than anyone else. Then came the Premier League. Then came Alex Ferguson. Now here's hoping for number 20.
Now I root for my teams whenever I'm not indulging my hobbies of writing and reciting Old English alliterative poetry and hitting my friends with sticks.

I bet Bye Dawk that the Cowboys would outscore the Eagles this season, and unless the Cowboys beat the Eagles 93-0 this week, I will have lost that bet. I've decide to concede victory to Bye Dawk.

There are lots of questions about the Cowboys because they haven't beaten anybody given that the we've only beaten the Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Panthers who total 1-11. Fair enough. But the Cowboys are not the only team deserving of that criticism.

His team lost their last big game in the final seconds.
He threw a horrible interception that led to his opponents scoring a touchdown in the final two minutes of the first half that turned around the momentum.
He has shown a regrettable tendency to fumble because of small hands.
Everyone knew he would not be a good NFL QB all along, which is why he was not drafted at all.

Just for fun, and because I think I'm more able to research than some of the so-called professional prognosticators, here is my projection of the 2009 season. The record projections use the following format Overall (In the team's 6 games in their division, record in the 4 games against the first outside division, record in the four games against the second outside division, and then a projection of the remaining 2 games).

I've been a Cowboys fan for over 35 years now and I cannot remember ever being quite so excited about the Cowboys going into the season.
