Why do I have the feeling this is another contract that will bite Sather in the ass.

Why sign a guy who can only throw punchs for 1.6 million when you have a kid like Byers that can do all that and score too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Byers is turning in to a qualtiy power foward that likes to go to the net something this team is lacking 

he is also a million dollars cheaper .........Duh!!!

 Prust Avery Byers now that would be a great smash and crash line that could actually score against our division rivals and surely get there top fowards off there game

Also Gilroy has to prove himself to Torts so he is iffy too

When that happens Sather has some cash to shore up some depth spots…….hmmmm

Now from what is left I see, not much, but don’t think I am crazy but I say sign Mara he played well in NY, he’s a good vocal standup for your team Dman

Hey Potter and Sauer weren’t good enough to steal his spot so go figure maybe a better fit than Eminger

Who else is out there for depth Hnidy he’s hurt too much Exelby takes too many penalties, Mara  may play well with Gilroy

The only bright spot I see in Hartford who really has a chance is Grachev

Otherwise Stepan and Weise but that of course is not a sure bet

So who is out there for a 3rd line spot

Obviously at this point the ball is in the GM’s court because guys will just be happy to get a contract so you sign him for 1 year and maybe a million or so

In an interview with  Sather he  stats he didn't sign Shelley because at his age its crazy to sign a guy because you can 't keep playing that type of style

We need a more intense stay at home Dman than Girardi looks like he reach his potential he just doesn't have that added edge  I wish Staal had a little more bite to his game

This kid has skills 1st game back from injury and he has 3 assists. He never should've been sent back down in my opinion, hope we get to see him crack the line up next year .Hope Sather resigns and doesnt let him walk He has good hockey sense and offensive talent along with Dan Byers and Dale Weise!!! 

 I liked the pick up of Oli Jokinen but if he doesn't show something at the end here you have to go for Marleau in the summer if not Pavel Demitra would be a better fit for Gaborik the guy can pass the puck         

last night was a perfect ex. of why you need to give more minutes to the 4th line let them go out there and try to create something no forecheck at all in the 3rd period

Sather's problem does spend teh $$ he has wisely. When he signed Redden the guy he should've went after was Streit but he went to the Islanders ( head scratcher)  but if you had intentions of resigning Rozy then why bother spending that $$ at all.  Sather doesn't seem to know how to add piece by piece he'd rather go an change the makeup of the team, 1/2 this team is different than last yr Looking back now who did we get for Prucha Dawes and Kalilin oh yeah no one Morris walked, saving the 4.4 mil he spent on Kotalik and Brashear and resigned Zherdev doesn't seem so bad now does it he could've been with Anisimov and Lisin or spent 800,000 on Afinigenov!!!!!!!!!  a steal  

As a Coach you are responsible for keeping this team motivated maybe they should have went to Central park too

As a Coach you can tweek your line up put in a guy who hasn't played 20 something games he'll give you 110% effort  and the other guys will feed off of it 

why not sit Higgins and Brashear and play Voros and Lisin

what did Brashear do that Voros couldn't he certainly didn't elminate Carkner

at least Voros would have gone to the net hit everything out there maybe draw a penalty or two and Lisin the same he's one of our hitters

Duby is one of our guys going right now why not put him back with Gabby and Prospal in the 2nd and see what happens

there's been alot of Drury bashing lately but you know what If  he is the Captain than why does the coach use him on the 2nd line Renney did the same thing he needs to be top center period if he doesn't produce than you bash him but he's the Captain and needs to be out there in all critical situations

Does anyone realize that Duby had more pt production than Cally in the last 2 seasons why because he had only 13 goals lst yr and not 22 but he had 1 more pt than Cally also he had 14 last yr when Cally only had 8 whats the problem Sather there 2 young stars coming up in the organization and you pay one and stiff the other.MAKES NO SENSE!!!  Anyone agree if it was reversed and Cally was the hold out  would everyone be saying he's being stupid. oh wait lets save the remaining cap $$ to spend on another player thats washed up.
