Rickyfan's conspiracy theory...
My theory is simple. Kg is about 75% right now, and could play. With about 2 weeks more rest, (meaning no practice, no games) he would be about 85%.
I really think they might be resting him first round, like I wanted them to do...let's say that this is true, could they come out and say this?
They ever come out and say that, could they? That would be the ultimate slap in the face to the Bulls. Furthermore, it would put somebody's job on the line should they get bounced knowing that he could have played. It really sounds silly, but I really see this as a possibility...
I could see the tunnell filling with smoke, then you hear the glass break, then hear the Stone Cold Steve Austin music... out comes KG like crazy, then gets tagged in by Big Baby and puts Rashard Lewis in a sleeper hold!!!
...probably not, but what I can see happening is them continuing with this story, then him saying "I will give it a go" for the Magic series.
This all makes sense, I mean we saw him play effectively, he doesn't need surgery, and they won't disclose his exact injury. They also will not deactivate him for the postseason.
An other thing is, it is good for Doc to tell the team to move forward without him, just for their mentality...

Perk going too far is a GREAT thing...
Just my opinion, I know he went too far, but I think that is a neccessity at this point. Moreover, I absolutely love what he did.
I like Maxiell alot and certainly don't think he deserved what he got, but Perk sending a message is just what this team needs to continue to do. How many time this year, has Pierce, Allen or especially Rondo been fouled hard? This NEEDS to happen once in a while to let teams know who is the tougher team.
Instead of letting the Artest's of the league push our guys around, sometimes you have to cross the line on the biggest of stages. Perk is our enforcer, I say let him enforce. Suspend him for a game, get him some rest, WHO CARES!
In closing... I loves it.

Does Pierce seem a little cranky or is it just me?
It could totally be my imagination but Pierce seems to be a little bit unhappy this year for no apparent reason. A few moments stick out in my mind... like the other night when Bibby got an open 3 down the stretch he yelled at Ray, or when he wouldn't go to the ball the other night when Perk was trying to inbound causing a timeout... tiny things but his disposition just seems cranky. I can't imagine what the reason would be.
I also try to notice who has more of a chemistry together and who doesn't (like how Ray will not EVER give the ball in the post to Perk), and I feel like Paul is hesitant to give up the rock to Ray, even when he's hot. A few games ago Ray was absolute HEAT, and was standing wide open in the corner and Pierce with planty of time on the clock hoisted up a contested flatfooted long 2.
He also at times will kind of show Rondo up. Rondo kind of plays his game but Pierce will all of a sudden not want to run anymore and will kind of take the ball and gum up the offense. It will sometimes deflate Rondo, but not like it used to of course.
I am not trying to suggest anything or speculate, and things could not be going better for the team, but this is just something to watch. Maybe because of the exposure he got last year, he was kind of eyeing this season as his shot at an MVP award, but now is truly just a member of a 'team', and part of him misses being the man. I don't know.
If you notice after the games KG will quickly give all of the teams credit to Pierce or whoever else. How great was that comment about 'not being able to rebound with Perk and Rondo around'? Thats great stuff.
Pierce is still the man, not trying to suggest otherwise, I am just getting this weird unexplained vibe from him.

Cleveland is the best team in basketball...
If they can find a way to finagle some scoring out of the 4 spot, they are going to be really tought to beat. I didn't think we'd beat the last year, but we did...
They have the best player in hoops (by far), a bevy of nice pg's, great defense and a 7'3 guy who catches fire every time he plays us. Mo Williams is a nice addition (although slightly overrated) to that squad.
I hate them though... I am going to hate it when they eliminate us this year.
I basically just wanted to post something, so here it is. It beats my "Mark Blount: handsome philanthropist" idea. Love the new site.
