At SF State commencement today, Willie Mays received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his work in the community and his Say Hey Foundation. More about that here.
The best part was that he wore his Giants cap as he marched in, as did many of the people on stage when he spoke.
Giants officially announce lower ticket prices for 2009
We already knew about the dynamic pricing and that some seats would be cheaper, but now more details are out.
According to Henry Schulman, half of all single game tickets will cost less.
In its continuing quest to possess every piece of data in the known universe, Google now has photos from the archives of LIFE magazine. Included are some interesting shots from the early days of the Giants in San Francisco. This one is from opening day of Candlestick Park in 1960. Seems odd to see as many boats gathered outside the Stick as there usually are around McCovey Cove.
