Jeff Faine via Facebook upon leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.:
''I’d like to thank the Buccaneers for giving me the chance to play for my hometown team four years ago. The move is bittersweet, but I leave in great health, excited and energized for my next opportunity. Although our record wasn’t what any of us wanted it to be, I’ll look at my time in Tampa with fond memories and thankful for the many friendships made – especially the comradarie on the offensive line with Donald Penn, Jeremy Trueblood, Davin Joseph, Jeremy Zuttah. I look forward to seeing Josh Freeman and some of the other young talent become bright stars in this league.''
Another Buccaneer in trouble with the law.
Bucs DE Alex Magee was arrested Monday and charged with marijuana possession in addition to expired tags.
Magee, the 67th overall pick in the 2009 draft, was acquired from Kansas City in exchange for a late-round pick swap last October. Pulled over in his 2009 Dodge Charger Wednesday afternoon, Magee's car reeked of marijuana before a police search turned up a "misdemeanor amount of field test positive marijuana." Magee may be able to avoid league discipline, but this will undoubtedly hurt his chances of making Tampa Bay's 2011 roster
He’s the tenth member of the organization to be arrested since January 10, 2010. He is also part of the reason the Buccaneers decided to draft two defensive ends in this year's draft. Somewhere, fellow Bucs defensive end Stylez G. White is smiling..

E.J. Biggers of the Bucs ranked in the top-10 of all cornerbacks in Football Outsiders' Success Rate last season.
Success Rate is defined as the percentage of passes that don't manage to get at least 45 percent of needed yards on first down, 60 percent on second down, or 100 percent on third down. Biggers, a 2009 seventh-rounder, fared well as a fill-in for Aqib Talib. He'll handle nickel duties this year and eventually succeed Ronde Barber as the starter opposite Talib.

Bucs DL Coach Todd Wash informed he will not be brought back
According to pewterreport.com, Buccaneer's DL coach Todd Wash was informed he will not return for the 2011 season. We know the Buccaneers have shown interest in Viking's DL coach Karl Dunbar, so a change seems imminent. Hopefully we can land Dunbar.
Best of luck to coaches Rich Bisaccia and Todd Wash.
Go Bucs!!!
Stay tuned for updates.
Bucs make offer to Viking's DL coach, Karl Dunbar
Todd Wash's days in Tampa may be numbered. This looks like a good move for Tampa. I'm hoping Karl Dunbar can develop McCoy, Price, our future defensive end, and others, into the monsters we hope they would be.
The Buccaneers notched 29 sacks, but still finished tied in third for interceptions. Just imagine the defense with a solid line.
Cory Lynch highlights
I never really heard of this kid before the preseason, but he was an absolute ball-hawk in college. Apparently he ran the fastest shuttle time, and second fastest 3-cone drill at the combine. He was also named National Defensive Player of the Year. Lynch helped the Mountaineers to 3 back-to-back national championships.
Apparently, his nickname (wiki) is HBO, due to his appearance on the 'Hard Knocks' TV show on HBO, while he was on the Jets.
Check out the highlights, can't wait to see what this guy can do (if he gets the start).
NFL Official to Aqib Talib: ''played like a p-ssy."
Bucs CB Aqib Talib reportedly had a heated confrontation with an official in Sunday's game, and threatened him with violence.
The official on Carl Cheffers' crew reportedly told Talib that he "played like a p-ssy." Talib responded by telling the ref, "I'll (hit) you in your b---- a-- mouth." Talib did not speak with reporters after the game. The official and Talib both can probably expect some discipline from the NFL.Quite an interesting choice of words coming from both parties. Apparently this happened just outside the locker room. Lets see how this boils down.
Lets go Bucs!!!!

Buccaneers put in claim for LB Shawne Merriman
Unfortunately, Merriman was claimed by the Buffalo Bills, as they were higher than the Buccaneers in the waiver order.
In my opinion, a smart move by Dom and the brass. Though leading the league in interceptions through 8 weeks in the season, (including the bye) the Buccaneers have clearly struggled in pass rush. Sacks aren't everything, but our imagine what our secondary could do with more pressure. Its awesome to see a solid foundation building on both sides of the ball.
Lets go Bucs!!!

TE Jerramy Stevens arrested...again.
Bucs TE Jerramy Stevens was arrested early Saturday for "possession of cannabis with intent to sell" in Hillsborough County (FL).
Stevens has a long history of run-ins with the law, and figures to face a lengthy suspension after this one. It's hard to imagine him playing in Sunday's game. So far this season, Stevens has three catches in five games.
Surprise surprise....I don't see him making this team. Looks like Gilmore or Lorig will have to step up. In my opinion, this is a bigger bone-head move than Tanard's choice. He is human, and i wish him the best, but as BSPN would say....'C'MON MAN!'

Buccaneers Trade for DE Alex Magee from the Kansas City Chiefs
One trade got done just before the deadline after all. Both teams will receive 2011 draft picks, with the Chiefs' obviously the higher of the two. A third-rounder in 2009, Magee had fallen out of Kansas City's defensive line rotation. He's played in just two games, registering two tackles. At 6'4/295, Magee was viewed as a potential "three technique" coming out for last year's draft, playing tackle extensively at Purdue. He may moved inside in Tampa Bay's Cover-2 system.

Roy Cummings 'Sabby earned playing time'
Is this guy kidding me??
Did he watch ANY of the games Sabby failed played in?
Cummings says he deserves more playing time because of the interception. I give a big fat no on that one.
Sabby was terrible against the run again, and deserves zero playing time.
C Jeff Faine may have torn quadricep muscle.
The Bucs are reportedly concerned that C Jeff Faine has a torn quadricep muscle.
Faine left Sunday's game in the second quarter and didn't return. A torn quad could end his season. The Buccaneers' backup center is Jeremy Zuttah.Stay tuned for updates.

Hilarious Bengal's fan on youtube
I know we shouldn't talk smack after a ugly game like that, but i thought this video was worthy enough of a laugh.
I posted a comment similar to this:
'HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA'.......
Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib will not face an additional suspension after attending the team's season opener while serving a one game suspension.
The league reviewed the case and determined that no further action was necessary. It looks as though the shutdown corner has dodged a bullet, and he should be on the field for the remainder of the season barring injury.-rotoworld.com

Caddy accepts the hard truth.
Though he's slated to start this week against the Bengals, Cadillac Williams acknowledges that his days as the Bucs' feature back are probably over.
"You know (the team) is looking beyond this year," said Williams. "I'm just going to prepare myself and go out there on Sunday and continue to put things on film." Caddy is averaging just 2.5 yards per carry through three games. It kind of stunk reading this. Following the Bucs/football in general since 2002, he's just one of those draft picks i followed throughout the years. Drafted in 2005, he showed so much promise as a rookie. Since then, he's been battling injury after injury, becoming a fan favorite at the same time. Its sad to see him on a 'decline', knowing resigning him isn't a likely option to follow through for next year.
Lets go Bucs, and enjoy what may be his last year as a Buccaneer.

Steelers re-signed QB Byron Leftwich.
Per rotoworld:
'Dennis Dixon injured the same knee in which he tore his ACL at Oregon on Sunday, so he may not play in Week 3. Charlie Batch came on in relief, yet mustered just 25 passing yards on 11 attempts. So, it's not crazy to think Leftwich could start in Week 3 at Tampa Bay. The 2-0 Bucs are no longer pushovers, and coach Mike Tomlin will wants his best, healthiest option out there. Dixon is the best option when everyone is healthy, but don't look for the Steelers to announce their starter before the end of the week.'Hmmm, I guess anyone not named Roethlisberger behind center will give our Buccaneers the best chance to win this Sunday. Either they go with old-man-Batch (probably better option) than the turnover-machine Leftwich.

With speedy back Kareem Huggins running on to the scene, RB Derrick Ward struggled to hold his spot for the number 2 back. Ward had reportedly 'gained weight' and failed to impress with his efforts in the preseason.

Bucs-Jaguars Preseason game to be blacked out.
For the second time this preseason, and likely to continue on throughout the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home game has been blacked out. Kickoff is set for Saturday, at 7:30pm, at Raymond James Stadium.
The game will be broadcasted Sunday at 11:00am on News Channel 8.

Raheem Morris lines up against Michael Clayton in 1 on 1 drills
At the 10:59 park of practice, Clayton broke free of Morris, and proceeded to drop the pass (very rare).
I don't see any reason in keeping Clayton unless we move him to tight end, or bring him out to wide-out on running plays. He needs a change of scenery. Badly.
Derrick Ward promises 'great game' Saturday at Chiefs
"I've been in this league for a while and I feel I know what it takes to win and get back on track," Ward said. "That was just a fluke game, but I guarantee you this weekend I'll have a great game."
-Derrick Ward
Ward may need a good game to keep a roster spot. Since his terrible outing against the 'Fins, the talk has heated up whether Ward would even make the team. Ward just dug himself a large hole. Lets see if he can perform to how he says he can this Saturday, against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Adam Schefter: 'Mike Williams has star written all over him'
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bucs believe rookie split end Mike Williams "has star written all over him."
We can't go three days without getting in a glowing report on Williams. "He already is the best receiver on Tampa Bay's roster," writes Schefter, who was at Bucs training camp this week. Schefter also mentions that Michael Clayton and Reggie Brown are in direct competition for a single roster spot, indicating that current starting flanker Maurice Stovall is safe, as expected. It means a lot coming from Adam Schefter. He is the reporter sent from the NFL gods. I know this isn't news or anything, but it was very nice to see this. Looks like Stovall is getting his chance to shine as well. Let's hope Williams and Benn can show us something against Miami.

Buccaneers Sign TE Rucker, Cut WR Urrutia
Bucs claimed TE Martin Rucker off waivers from the Eagles and waived WR Mario Urrutia.
Rucker showed little in Eagles camp behind Clay Harbor and Cornelius Ingram, and will have just as hard a time making the Bucs without blocking ability. Urrutia was a dominant collegiate, but his skills haven't translated.I always liked the thought of having one of those big, fast receivers on this team. But i guess Urrutia just isn't doing enough. Welcome to the team Martin Rucker. Best of luck to Urrutia!

Multiple sources: Lebron James to Miami Heat
I've been a Miami Heat fan for some time now, and since it's such a huge day in sports, i figured i'd try to keep everyone updated on where Lebron James goes. It felt appropriate. So everyone, cross your fingers with me, and hope the King goes to Miami, and brings a few more rings to Wade's fingers.
Oh, and Go Bucs!!!
Bucs claimed S Matt O'Hanlon off waivers from the Panthers.
O'Hanlon is an undrafted rookie out of Nebraska. He was a full-time starter in each of the last two seasons, racking up six interceptions in 2009. O'Hanlon will try to pull an upset and make the roster as a special teamer.

Buccaneers waived LB Angelo Crowell, S Emanuel Cook, and LS .
Chris Mauriello.Bucs signed seventh-rounders LB Dekoda Watson and DE Erik Lorig to four-year contracts.
Cook drew comparisons to Bob Sanders and Troy Polamalu in college as a physical, hard-hitting safety, but he went undrafted after leaving school early. He lacks size and range for an NFL safety.
Lorig has been sidelined in spring practices with a pectoral injury. Coach Raheem Morris has referred to him as a "luxury player," as he's capable of playing both tight end and defensive end. The Bucs expect him to be healthy and competing for a roster spot in training camp.
Once a tackle machine in Buffalo, the 29-year-old Crowell's career has been thrown off track by knee trouble. He only would've cost $630K to keep, but was beat out for a roster spot in Tampa Bay by far less experienced players.
Watson, a Florida State product, projects as a weak-side linebacker behind Geno Hayes. The 22-year-old was a highly productive pass rusher as a Seminole, but will focus on special teams initially with Tampa Bay.

WR Bradley released, Punter Brent Bowden signed to four-year contract.
Long on talent but short on instincts and durability, the former No. 39 overall pick was never going to make the Bucs with a $1.23M salary.
The Bucs gave up on Sam Paulescu, so Bowden is expected to be the team's Opening Day starter. This assumes Bowden doesn't face plant in camp.
In other news, the Buccaneers are the best football team on this planet.

LT Donald Penn did not sign tender.
Restricted free agent LT Donald Penn did not sign the Bucs' $3.168 million tender offer by Monday night's deadline.
Of all the unsigned RFAs, Penn may have the least to lose in shunning the team's offer. If the Bucs opt to drop the offer to 110 percent of last year's salary, he would lose about $100,000. The team has until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday night to submit their reduced offer-rotoworld.com
