baseball dynasty rebuild: how am I doing?
The league is 5x5 roto with 14 teams and 27 ML keepers and 15 ml keepers. I inherited a team a year ago that had placed in the bottom 3 every year of the league's existence. Position slots are C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, IF, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P. Since the keepers are so deep and there's no cost to keep anyone, many owners put a high premium on young ML players and the most elite prospects.
fantasy OF prospect help
I'm have a choice between several A ball OFers for a 5x5 keeper league. How would you rank Rymer Liriano, Brandon Jacobs, Oscar Taveras, Christian Yelich, and Cory Vaughn? I'm more concerned about upside than distance from the majors.
Tyler Skaggs
In the winter, BA wrote, "Skaggs profiles as a solid No. 3 starter right now, and he can become a frontline starter is his fastball and changeup develop as hoped." My question is, how is his development going this season?
minors draft fantasy question
How would you rank the following guys for fantasy 5x5, and where would you slot in pitchers?
Anthony Rendon
Gerrit Cole
Leonys Martin - We include Cubans in our amateur draft.
Bubba Starling
Swihart - Perhaps a gamble this high, but a great bat at C is a big asset in fantasy.
Lindor - I know BA and other experts rank him close behind Starling, but I think a lot of it is defense and I'm doubting the bat plays for fantasy 5x5. BA projected 10-15 HR in the more recent optimistic reports, and I don't think he's a major threat to steal either.
I'm rebuilding and need impact bats, and I'll sprinkle in ace-potential pitching where it's best-player-available. Other than that Cole has led the pitchers most of the season, I'm finding it very hard to distinguish and rank the pitchers, and I wonder if Cole's struggles should send him back into the pack.
Is there anyone else that should enter the discussion for slots 3 and 4 overall?
