MMAmania.com Street fighters: John Howard vs Anthony Johnson needs to happen in the UFC before it hits the streets

Johnson-howard_medium

John Howard and Anthony Johnson got beef.

Not like the meat you're planning on cooking with your Hamburger Helper tonight, but like the beef 2Pac and Biggie Smalls used to have. Or maybe a better comparison is Dave Mustaine's longstanding issues with his former stablemates, Metallica.

Either way, the two welterweight bangers enjoy each other's company about as much as much as Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir. They talk about as much trash to boot.

Johnson, coming off his win over Dan Hardy at UFC Fight Night 24 on March 26, elected not to call anyone out when asked who he would like his next opponent to be. He did, however, make sure to mention his lasting hatred for Howard.

Why? "Because he's a pussy," according to "Rumble."

Let's hear "Doomsday's" side of the story (via MMAWeekly.com) and let him explain how this whole thing started.

MMAmania.com Alistair Overeem still haven't been paid by K1

Current Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem visits Jon Anik on MMA Live and says that he hasn't received his purse yet after winning the K1 World Grand Prix, he also says that according to his contract they have 48 hours to pay him and the Grand Prix took place on saturday the 11th of december, this plus the rumour that K1 might be filing bankruptcy tells me that there are more reasons for Alistair to fight more in the States than over in Japan. What do you Maniacs think of all this.

MMAmania.com Strikeforce Drama: Siyar Bahadurzada not happy with Scott Coker

Siyar-bahadurzada_medium

via veelbeter.com

Former Shooto light heavyweight champion Siyar ''The Killer" Bahadurzada is not happy with the treatment he is getting from Scott Coker and Strikeforce and he has let his frustrations go on Scott Coker and Strikeforce matchmaker Rich Chou calling them in a article ''ass****'' and  ''Scott 'Pig F*****" Coker and Rich 'F***' Chou '' wich was replied by Scott Coker as being unproffesional. Now Siyar want to give his fans the full story as he placed a statement on popular dutch forum for combat sports called www.mixfight.nl. i will give my best translation for you Maniacs.

Dear members/readers

First i want to apologize to all of my fans (only fans) for the use of my language on twitter and the recent articles. It all began when they (strikeforce) took 8 months to sign me. I traveled all the way to America when Marloes (Coenen) was fighting Cyborg to get signed because that’s what Strikeforce promised me. But they said they were to busy or they had to talk to Showtime first and than this and that. So al lot of bullsh*t but the real reason they didn't want to sign me, i highly suspect was because of my Afghan background

Finally after Golden Glory had enough they offered me a contract. When i signed the contract we sent it to the states and a copy was being hand deliverd by Martijn de Jong himself. After a couple of months Martijn tried to contact for a possible date for my debut. But they just ignored hundreds of texts messages and e-mails. They kept saying tomorrow we will get Siyar a P1 Visa and when that’s taken care of he can fight, that was two months after i had signed. Month after month Martijn tried to contact them but nothing happened.

Eventually trough a source who is a close friend of Coker i found out the real reason they didn't want me to fight in the States. Reason one: Golden Glory negotiated a contract for me but Strikeforce didn't agree with the numbers. Two: they don't want to promote someone from Afghanistan in the States. And that was the final straw. Not many people know how i really am and thats understandable, everybody is being shaped and made by their own experiences. Thats how i was made to the Siyar i am today. Nobody will walk over me.i walked from day one with my head high and i will till the very last day.My sport, MMA is my biggest love but when it comes to honour and respect sport is just a small thing not even my life is important than. I know i'm old fashioned and i probably wont fit in society with this mentality but thats how Siyar ‘’the killer’’ Bahadurzada is made trough my experience in life!!! Yes i do have a darkside but that will only come out on special occasions. And than i will hurt feelings no matter who.

Scott Coker said in a interview that im a Golden Glory fighter and that i should act professional, he also said as soon as that my P1 Visa is taken care of i will get to fight.

Here is what i have to say about that, being professional does have its boundries. I have been professional enough that they kept letting me go back and forth for 8 months and after signing letting me wait 10 months (and still counting) for my debut. Also it doesnt take months to get a P1 Visa, i asked the laywer who takes care of that kind of stuff indirect for Strikeforce and if i handed him my signed strikeforce contract it would take two weeks to get me a P1 Visa ok maybe because i am from Afghanistan it will take 4 maybe 8 weeks  but this long ? who is here unprofessional and ‘’the bad guy’’. I dont want to say anymore on this subject. This is what really happened and if you know me by know you will know that i would not lie about this.because my word is a rule to myself and i respect those rules.

I hope that everything is clear now

Siyar Bahadurzada

So what do you Maniacs think about Siyar Bahadurzada not getting the oppurtinity to make his Strikeforce welterweight debut because of his origins or is there more behind this than Siyar tells us ?

MMAmania.com Dutch MMA fighter wins hollands most popular talentshow

Saunders_medium

Dutch MMA fighter Ben ''The Voice'' Saunders (not to be mistaken with former UFC fighter Ben''Killa B'' Saunders) has won Hollands most popular talentshow and perhaps even most popular television show of 2010 by defeating his competition with 59% of the votes.

Here is his audition, wich blew most people away and had him as a favorite to win the whole show from the beginning.  He says before his audition that he didnt practice because if you practice to much you will be ''to made'', also his brother/friend predicts that all four judges will turn around ( they sit backwards so they can judge only on your singing ability and one of the judges will be chosen to coach their talent all the way to the end).

MMAmania.com Mark Coleman's fixed wrestlingmatch gone bad

 Markcolemancreditpridefighting_medium
via mimg.ugo.com

one of the commenters i believe Tonyuk released a clip in one of the threads of Coleman getting in to a altercation with some Japanese ''gangsters''. Like i already suspected, it was scripted and part of Coleman's fixed wrestlingmatch but the match didnt go the way it should have gone. Phil Baroni tells more about it at www.sherdog.net

''It was supppose to be a pro wrestling match. It was suppose to be 3 min.
Coleman was suppose to win.The fat f*** douch scum bag didnt do the match the way it was suppose to be. That film was eddited. The Fat dick was suppose to tap from a head lock.He would not and kept rope escaping. Coleman squeezed hard a few times and burnt him self out trying to get the guy to tap.
After taking hard open hand hits knees and the guy not going by the way the match was planned, an exhausted. Coleman said fuck this. If he wants to really fight lets do it in Dream or Sengoku Im out of here, fuck this. I got the match on a week notice and it was suppose to be 3 min pro wrestling match. Not a shoot fight. And walked out. His team edited this videoIf that douch bag wants to fight Coleman will fight him and kill him anyday Or he can fight me.''

here are the videos of the altercation and the fight:

MMAmania.com Great Standup Action from It'sShowtime.

I know this is a MMA site but i could not hold this one out on you Maniacs.

This weekend It'sShowtime put on a great event with some spectacalur fights and awesome highlights.
The one fight i want to talk about is possibly one of the best fights this year together with the Chahid vs Zambidis fight.

The fight is between Mohammed ''Mootje'' Khamal (black shorts with stripes) and Mosab ''the Jaguar'' Amrani (black shorts). Both these fighters climbed the ranks together and there was a chance they would have to face eachother to determine who would be the most talented newcomer in kickboxing. That was until Khamal moved up in weight, he went from 62kg's to 70kg's, to fight the best at K1- MAX there he delivered the upset of the year by beating tournament favorite Artur Kyshenko at the K1 -MAX final 16. This fight between ''Mootje'' and Mosab will not only determine who will be the ''King of Amsterdam'' but also who is the better fighter of the two. Both guys are friends both also rivals and it will show in this fight with a lot of taunting but also a great display of heart and technique.

I hope you will enjoy this fight as much as i did.

Plus a bonus clip of one of the nastiest headkicks i've seen, this what happens when you hit someone with nothing but shinbone. Is it coincedince the name of the headkicking fighter is also named Anderson Silva ?

Video of the Shootboxing Semi final between K1 Max veteran and one of the Shootboxing greats Andy Souwer and late replacement for ''Krazy Horse'' and winner of the submission of the year 2009, Toby Imada (MMA record 26-14).

The fight showed great gameplanning on Imada's side wich was turning this fight in to some sort of brawl by closing the distance with Souwer and score points with throws.

Earning him a split decision victory and the upset of the tournament. In the final he faced K1 Max veteran and Muay Thai phenom Buakaw Por. Pramuk who won by TKO (legkicks).

MMAmania.com Struve wants to bulk up, eyes rematches with Dos Santos and Nelson

Ufc99_02_stojnic_vs_struvelo-thumb-500x295-15742_medium

via blogs.mirror.co.uk

that's what he told to www.fighteronlymagazine.co.uk

“Well, I only turned 21 a few days before the fight. I was at 235 I believe and if you see these guys running round, well.. Dos Santos is a beast. I need more muscle and more power, but that will come in the next couple of years,” the Dutchman says.

“I would like to have a rematch with Roy and Dos Santos at some point in my career to see if I did improve. I am pretty sure I did. I want to go up to 290 to see what trouble I give them. Right now I weigh 255 so its going good.”

So maniacs what do you guys think, will struve adding more muscle to his frame help to establish his future as a top heavyweight or does he not only lack strenght but also skill ?
