Black Heart Gold Pants Mine's not a high horse

Disclaimer: I'm not one to look on other sites for perceived slights, etc...however, the more fuel I can add to Bellanca's fire (in the hope of getting even more fanposts out of him) the better.  Without further ado:

Cackle with knowing glee if...

  • Michigan State's maligned defensive coordinator leaves the safeties back in a Norm Parker-style adherence to old principles in the face of new technology.

The lesson?  Michigan is clearly intellectually superior with their progressive, forward-thinking offense.  Iowa's defensive philosophy?  Well, it's like totally lame, man.  Probably voted for Nixon even.

Black Heart Gold Pants Marvin Saves

I made this shirt prior to the Spring game in 2008, back when we had the great quarterback debate on our hands.  Myself and two buddies of mine threw our lot in with a lefty from Missouri.  He lost out (by a wide margin) on the starting QB position, and we were bummed.  Then came the announcement he was being converted to WR....and our bummed-ness multiplied tenfold.  But irony has a sense of humor sometimes, and although he wasn't heard from in 2008, his name appeared on the depth charts around the Spring of 2009 as "the dude who KF is using to motiviate that...um...'not with the program' DJK".  And then his name kept popping up in interviews and whispers about the surprises of fall camp, and suddenly the shirt became relevant again.  Well, relevant in the sense that it wasn't a waste of $25.  But the reality was, since he was no longer a QB, there was no way he can actually live up to the shirt (so to speak).  I mean, what are the odds of that happening.  Right?  Um....right?

I guess I get to wear my t-shirt again.
