Wil Myers started at 3rd today. Ended up finishing the game in Center and was 3-3 with 2 doubles, but wondering what's going on with him at 3rd?

Kansas robbing Neighbors
The second line says a lot for me. "That might be changing soon."
Anthony Pierson Committs!!! 4 Star ATH from STL. Reggie Mitchell is the man! Ranked in the top 250 players in the class. 4th fastest ATH in category rankings. Stats in only 6 games this year: 1400 yds rushing and 22 TDs. Wow! Gill got his game-breaker!

Mizzou's OC. Seriously is.
Deandre Daniels To Visit
Will be in Lawrence tomorrow for UCLA game and stay thru the weekend. I'm not to worried about recruiting with Self at the helm. Although he does look kinda big and slow in his film, I'll take him.
Ben Heeney Commits! LB from Hutch. Looks to be a solid player. Rivals said no one's stock has been rising more in last month. 3 star LB.
Recruiting News
Article just released on rivals that is headlined Whispers has quite a bit of Kansas news. The big news is that Darrian Miller is visiting this weekend and reportedly Iowa is now out of the picture. A lot of people on here thought he was leaning that way including myself. He said he is down to KU, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Rivals believes that he will be the rare type of decommit who ends up recommitting back. Boy would that be nice!
In other news, they talk about how we sent out a surprise offer to another RB named Tra Carson, a 3 star from Texas. He is down to us, Northwestern, and and Utah and will visit all 3. Maybe our terrible season isn't hurting to bad in recruiting... except for Maurice Couch! That one hurts.
Lastly, watch ESPNU at 4 today. 5 star LeBryan Nash is committing. Hoping for some good news! No hats!
Young Royals Reppin
Teaford gives up 1 hit and strikes out ten in 5 shutout innings. Moose goes deep and at bottom of article it says that Hosmer has walked 6 out of his 9 ABs.
Saw X up at my college gym today. UCO in Edmond which is outside OKC. He was killing everyone in the gym including myself. Unreal how easy he made it look. He was joking around the entire time and still scored nearly every time he got it.
Huldon Tharp Out for Season
Worst possible news. Not feeling very well about the defense at all now.
* In need of more punch in their lineup, the Giants have been "heavily" scouting Royals outfielder Jose Guillen, Jon Heyman of SI.com and MLB Network wrote via Twitter. Meanwhile, Guillen's teammate, Scott Podsednik, is also drawing intrigue. FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal wrote via Twitter that Kansas City is being "bombarded" by National League West teams interested in the speedy left fielder.

Spikes Our For Year
Here's a pretty big hit to the unit that is supposed to be our strength this year. Marrongelli or one of the young guys better be ready to go.
Cali O-Line Commits
First commit that has some BCS offers. Florida St, Hawaii, and others have offered. His coach goes on to say that he has the most potential of any of his players and he has 3 others already committed to schools. One to Bama and another to Nebraska.
Cole to My City
Living in OKC for the past 5 years I have finally found an NBA team to actually root for instead of just watching how the Kansas boys are doing. The entire city has really fallen in with the Thunder especially after their showing this past season. They have a great nucleus and having watched every game and attended many (including the heartbreaker in the playoffs when Pau tipped shot in at buzzer to eliminate us) it became clear that we were lacking one thing. That was a true defensive center that could provide some kind of presence down low.
The days leading up to the draft I was praying that cole somehow fell to us at 18. When the Hornets took him I was devastated. Only to have my prayers answered a couple minutes later when it was announced Cole was coming to OKC after being traded. All my buddies that I had over acted pissed and gave me crap the rest of the night just to rile me up. My phone was blowing up with people ribbing me tellin me how he was the next Greg Ostertag. I spent the rest of the night convincing everyone he was exactly what we needed. I am extremely excited to have Cole playing in OKC as I will get to see every game he plays as they are all televised here but also be able to see him play at the Ford Center where he can revive himself after the nightmares he's experienced playing there in college. Also ready to see our front line with Cole and NIck on the court at the same time.
Now OKC just needs to give Sherron the chance to make the team and I'll be set. I can see Sherron using this as a big time motivation and making an NBA roster. Just hope he can do it along with Cole and Nick in OKC.
Will do what I can to keep yall updated on how he is adjusting to OKC and fitting in with the team. Also will do some updates on how he is looking once the pre-season and actual games start as I will be sure not to miss a game again this season.
B-Ball scrimmage film
Can't wait to see these guys back on the court. Kudos to the Shiver.com
AA Experience
Yesterday morning I decided to make the 2 hour drive to Springdale in order to see what we have down on the farm. Even though there was rain in the forecast I still got my brother up and decided to go. Knew Osuna was throwing and wanted the chance to see what he had. So after getting pulled over on the drive I finally made it.
Right when the game started the rain hit and I sat watching in a soaking wet t-shirt and shorts. Freezing my ass off we watched. After 5 innings the delay occurred and after going to have few beers and eat we came back to finish the game. Sat right behind the dish and actually got Aaron Crow and Montgomery's autographs as they were tracking pitches for the next game. After the jump is my thoughts on the game itself.

Headed to watch our AA team tomorrow morning... Anything anyone wants me to look for specifically? Ill try and get a fan post up tomorrow after the game sometime. Pretty excited to see what we got coming through the farm
So Long Jamal Greene
Just 3 weeks ago all we heard was the potential and now he's done... Great
This is going to be long, first off h/t to RockChalks7 for getting the fanshot up for us. Secondly, I want to pose a question.
Jamal Greene and Vernon Brooks were two guys reportedly in the "Mangino Doghouse". With the firing of Mangino many, including myself, enjoyed spinning this as a place that players were unfairly placed and those players would now see a second chance.
Now with both of these guys proving the previous coaching staff 2000% correct, is anyone starting to second guess the move a little more? I'm still a huge Gill supporter personally, but does this at least raise an eyebrow to whether or not Mangino should have been pushed out?

Typical Calipari
This guy doesn't have any limits.
Selby New #1 Player in Class
He jumps up 3 spots to overtake Kentucky's Brandon Knight as top PG and Player.
Terrance Jones
Another Bill Self recruiting win? Think this along with Selby would be a grand slam.
Omaha or KC Pen?
Just got done watching the O-Royals gameday online. They won 2-0 and their pen threw the last 4 innings, allowing only 2 hits. Now I know its against AAA guys and not the twins or tigers but it seriously got me thinking... would we have 2 maybe 3 more wins if we had Soria and then the O-Royals Pen? Our worthless options that can go... Farnsy, Tejeda, Cruz, Mendoza, Hughes (although he wasn't bad the other night), and Colon (although GMDM finally woke up and swapped him with Rupe already). Now the O-Royals we take to the big league club.... Rosa, Wood, Bullington, Disco, heck even Marte and Holland may be better options. We can go young and cheaper with these guys rather than wasting payrolls and wins with the actual pen guys. So what do you guys think? Keep our pen or keep Soria and replace nearly everyone else with Omaha's bullpen?
