Interesting note that when I first logged on to my computer today and Yahoo.com sprang up Gina Carano was the number 1 search in the popular searches sidebar on the homepage. If anybody remembers was the UFC or any fighter number 1 after UFC 100?

This last week Shinya Aoki and Hayato Sakurai fought in the Dream Welterweight Grand Prix. Many people believed this fight to be a toss up, including the sports books. Many people thought (myself included) whoever could impose their gameplan (Aoki on the ground, Mach standing) would be able to take the fight.

"The Dean of Mean" Keith Jardine may not be one of the busiest or winningest fighters in the UFC, but when looking at who he has fought inside the octagon and his compensation for these fights, it is a tough test to find someone who is doing more for less.
