Indy Cornrows Pacers Talk: Is "Physco T" The Answer For Indy?

Article originally published at: Pacers Pulse

hansbrough over george.jpg Tyler Hansbrough came to the rookie workouts for the Indiana Pacers yesterday. Coach Jim O'Brien was very impressed with his abilities that many other coaches have doubted. Personally, I think Physco T is a beast, and many of you have to as well.

As seeing the picture above, no one other than Hansbrough has dunked over a person that is like two feet taller than him! I saw Hansbrough's workouts with the Pacers on TV as Hansbrough played very well.

But here is the question: Is Hansbrough the answer for Indiana Pacers? This is the talk, the Pacers talk that is.

Hansbrough was amazing at North Carolina as he averaged 20 points per game with the Tar Heels and being successful in the Final Four, winning it just last year against the Michigan State Spartans.

The thing I don't understand is why people say he is not aggressive and some other stupid stuff like that. They say he isn't tough. Well he isn't as tough as Blake Griffin, I can say that, but this kid is pretty tough.

For example: the dunk over Kenny George.

Hansbrough is also kind of needed with the squad of Indiana. Many mocks believe that the Pacers will mike Dejuan Blair, but I bet he'll be picked earlier. And so will Jordan Hill and Brandon Jennings, in which mocks believe the Pacers will pick those guys as well.

Hansbrough is needed. He can be a helpful power forward on the squad and earn some rebounds. If Hansbrough is drafted, he may have to sit on the bench because I believe Roy Hibbert and Troy Murphy will start for the power forward and center spots.

Hansbrough may start, but I think O'Brien would put Troy Murphy over Tyler Hansbrough. Even if Hansbrough is on the bench behind Murphy, he will obviously get some playing time in the rotation.

Jim O'Brien thinks that Physco T is just another Jeff Foster to the squad. Not necessarily, I think. Hansbrough can score some points because he is pretty good in the paint. He is also a pretty consistent shooter. But Jeff Foster, he is just the helpful guy for rebounding really.

Hansbrough can actually be a perfect fit for the squad of Indiana. And you never, he could come to Indiana actually. Hopefully, if the New Jersey Nets don't get him at the eleventh overall pick, the Pacers have a chance.

Do you think the Pacers should get Tyler Hansbrough? I believe so. Let your name be heard and yell out your opinion!

Just expect the unexpected.

Niners Nation NFL Talk: Facing the Facts of Where Anquan Boldin Will Really Go

A lot of talk has been going around Anquan Boldin. Thanks to two good friends of mine, Isaac Barrow and Mitchell Timp, helped me with some idea.

I don't know if Isaac knows, but his article really made me want to make an Anquan Boldin article of my own. He, and a little bit of John Clayton (ESPN), said that the Ravens have the best chance of getting him.

I agree but there are some more teams. I don't know if the Ravens will get Boldin, but it is better than wasting a pick in the first round.

Okay, let's not get too far. I will label all the teams that have a chance for Boldin. Some of them are listed above but I left out one.

So who will get Boldin? A sweepstakes helped me, and hey, it is still going on. When does it end? Never, until someone gets him. Let's go!

Indianapolis Colts

Well, I am a Colts fan, aren't I? I didn't pick Boldin for the Indianapolis Colts just because I am a Colts fan.

Because the Colts actually need him. Quite a while ago, the Colts released Marvin Harrison because of the offer.

Now the Colts really need a receiver. I said, in my mock draft with Mitchell Timp, that the Colts will get Ramses Barden.

Bad idea. Not the typical player in that round. He is a steal but I say, like Isaac Barrow, he will be in the second-through-third round of the draft. I am also his friend on Facebook!

And now back to the Boldin story.

The Colts have no receiver to replace Harrison. Who will, though?

One answer: Anquan Boldin. If the Colts can trade some of their draft picks and probably some player--Not exactly sure who it will be...Roy Hall? I don't know!--they can actually get the player who had a fight with his offensive coordinator.

The likes of that happening of the Colts getting Boldin is very slim. They might look to get Hakeem Nicks as the 28th pick in the draft. Hey, a Colts fan can dream.

Is that right, Ryan Michael and Bryan Brackeny?

Baltimore Ravens

Well the Ravens do have the best chance of getting Boldin, like Paul and Isaac said. Now, it's my turn to say something, but you guys did a good job, too.

Derrick Mason won't stay in the NFL forever. He is a reliable receiver and he will retire in probably two-to-three years at the maximum probably.

Then if Mason leaves, who will help out Mark Clayton? You can't possibly change Todd Heap to receiver, although that would be pretty cool.

Or L.J. Smith, but it might not happen for Smith because Isaac said he "sucks." Don't worry Isaac, Smith could be good for the Ravens.

Now let's get to my point of Boldin.

They could trade their first- or third-round picks for Boldin. With Boldin in the mix for the Ravens, and a possible chance of Barden in the third- or fourth-round of the draft, it could happen. There has been a lot of "hoopla" going on for the Ravens (again, like Isaac has said...what a Ravens' fan he is) and with Boldin in, it would be hoop-hoopla.

Minnesota Vikings

Hey, Mitchell Timp, this is for you. So the Vikings last best receiver (This is what I think. No disrespect to the Vikings fans and the receivers for the team) has been Randy Moss who has been with them from 1998-2004. Then there was Cris Carter.

Now there is Bernard Berrian.

I know there are some other receivers for the team that are good, like Sidney Rice or Bobby Wade. Those guys are developing into good receivers.

Bobby Wade is actually pretty good but I personally think that Berrian is a lot better. Berrian, 99-yard touchdown pass last year.

Pretty good, huh?

Then there is Anquan Boldin...

If the Vikings could trade someone, or a draft pick (but more of a draft pick, I bet), they could get Boldin. Boldin wants money. Vikings can do that. Can Boldin be a Viking? Hell yes. If he was...Vikings got their guy.

No more crap for T-Jack. He has a guy to throw to, finally! Why did they get Rosenfels then?

Miami Dolphins

Been hearing rumors that Dolphins could get Boldin in one of my series of Big Sports News. I believe it.

Again, trade someone. The Dolphins have their quarterback in Chad Pennington, who I think won Comeback Player of the Year (What is that? Like 30 of them already?), and Pennington is looking for a receiver.

The Dolphins do have Ted Ginn Jr., Ernest Wilford (Who really didn't play last year. Probably due to injury.), Greg Camarillo, and Davone Bess. Camarillo and Bess are developing. The Dolphins could trade Wilford and (or) one-to-three draft picks for Boldin.

But what can he do?

A lot. The Dolphins really need help on the passing game. They relied heavily on Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Now they got to step up their game. With the Dolphins getting Boldin, they could probably also get Darrius Heyward-Bey along to help the passing game big time.

Sound good, huh?

Jacksonville Jaguars

With the signing of Torry Holt just now, the Jaguars need another receiver, too. Holt is turning 32, and they need a younger 28-year-old guy like Anquan Boldin along with the "Big Game."

Because Torry Holt can't take place of the releases of Matt Jones and Jerry Porter, who looked to become stars but couldn't. Jerry Porter didn't do anything and Matt Jones had an arrest (what a shame).

I don't how the Jaguars could get Boldin but with that strong first round pick and probably a third-to-fifth round pick, they could get Boldin. It would be nice.

Then there is no point getting a quarterback in the NFL draft. David Garrard needs a target.

The Jaguars are known for their running game and it might not be as good because of the loss of Fred Taylor. So if the Jaguars can get another receiver, especially Boldin (of course), they could be dominant team in the AFC South.

Although I don't want that to happen because I am a Colts fan. Sorry Jags.

New York Giants

The Giants were doing great! There was that Earth,Wind, and Fire system. Eli Manning really developing into a Pro Bowl quarterback. But something screwed it up: Plaxico "Shoot-Myself-In-The-Leg" Burress.

The Giants released him not too long ago. Now they need to find a receiver, fast! They don't even have Amani Toomer! All they have is...well, nobody! Get Boldin, quick! With Boldin, the Giants are back on track.

Maybe Boldin won't shoot but Manning will because he is so happy with Anquan on the team.

San Francisco 49ers

With a possible chance of Michael Vick getting added (thanks to Mike) or getting Mark Sanchez in the NFL Draft, the Niners need a receiver. They have Isaac Bruce and Brandon Jones. Don't forget this rising star: Josh Morgan. Then there is the tight end, Vernon Davis.

But who are the 49ers missing? No one you may say. How so? They need a receiver. Bruce will retire next year, guarantee it. I know he is going to enter his 16th season but there is no way there is going to be a 17th.

Now to Boldin.

49ers could possibly get him. Trade both of their quarterbacks (Shaun Hill and Alex Smith, but that might not work at all with those two guys because they suck) and a pair of draft picks and you got Boldin. I don't think it will happen.

With the Niners in the sameItalic division as the Cardinals, they won't to take a risk of getting beaten by them all the time! They can get Boldin, but it would be tough as hell as it is.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Don't worry, folks. I am almost done. Just this one and two more. Now of course I had to involve the Buccaneers.

Sure, they have Michael Clayton, but his status has been going down over the years. His status just went up, somehow, by the re-signing of him.

With Byron Leftwich signed; it will be Josh Johnson, Brian Griese, Luke McCown, and (of course) Leftwich competing for the starting quarterback spot in the depth chart. I think Leftwich would win with Johnson as a runner-up (I'll tell you why).

Who can be the receiver for the Buccaneers? Joey Galloway is long gone, he is a Cheatriot, oops, I mean Patriots (sorry Andrew Cahill, Sean Crowe, and many other Patriots fans). Buccaneers need a wide receiver.

Get Boldin.

They could trade somebody. Someone like Josh Johnson and a draft pick. That could work. Kurt Warner will retire in one-to-two years, however. Matt Leinart, not sure of him as a real good potential starting quarterback, even though he does have a second chance. With Boldin, the Bucs are capable of being a strong team.

Philadelphia Eagles

Now, this is to guys like Dan Parzaych (sorry if I mis-spelled your name here man), Bryn and Cody Swartz, and Geoff Crawley. Now the Eagles look to have the best bet I am not too sure but let's get a move on!

With "Fraction" DeSean Jackson and Kevin Curtis, the Eagles have somebody missing. McNabb needs the best receiver since T.O. Now he can.

If they can trade some draft picks, they have a potential chance of getting Anquan Boldin. And it is better than getting Knowshon Moreno in the draft. Trust me. It is. 100 percent guaranteed you'll be satisfied with that kind of product.

It will work and the Eagles can be real amazing. And guess what? Super Bowl time.

Arizona Cardinals

How about Boldin goes with nobody? I mean seriously. The Cardinals are missing out on a great receiver. Who will the Cards replace Boldin with? Amani Toomer? No! Come on!

It was all good with the "Big Three" of the Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Steve Breaston. Stay and play.

Where Will Boldin Go?

I say the Baltimore Ravens. And, why not? I don't think the Cardinals should ever trade Boldin to an NFC team because then they would get killed by Boldin in the playoffs and probably the regular season.

With an AFC team, you just play Boldin once every four years and maybe meet him in the Super Bowl. The other AFC teams might not have the cap room, like the Cardinals themselves. And Boldin deserves more money.

So Ravens get Boldin.

What do you think? Fans, say your word.

Bleeding Green Nation NFL Talk: Facing the Facts of Where Anquan Boldin Will Really Go

No! Come on!

<p>I agree but there is some more teams. I don't know if the Ravens will get Boldin, but it is better than wasting a pick in the first round. Okay, let's not get too far. I will label all the teams that have a chance for Boldin. Some of them are listed above but I left out one.</p>
<p>So who will get Boldin? A <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/120723-which-teams-should-enter-the-anquan-boldin-sweepstakes">sweepstakes</a> helped me, and hey, it is still going on. When does it end? Never, until someone gets him. Let's go!</p>
<p><strong>Indianapolis Colts</strong></p>
<p>Well I am a Colts fan, aren't I? Well I didn't pick Boldin for the Indianapolis Colts just because I am a Colts fan. Because the Colts actually need him. Quite a while ago, the Colts released Marvin Harrison because of the offer.</p>
<p>Now the Colts really need a receiver. I said, in my <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/151920-jds-and-mitchells-mock-draft-round-one">mock draft</a> with <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/users/99776-Mitchell-Timp">Mitchell Timp</a>, that the Colts will get Ramses Barden. Bad idea. Not the typical player in that round. But he is a steal but I say, like Isaac Barrow, he will be in the second-through-third round of the draft. I am also his friend on Facebook!</p>
<p>And now back to the Boldin story.</p>
<p>Now the Colts have no receiver to replace Harrison. Who will, though? One answer: Anquan Boldin. If the Colts can trade some of their draft picks and probably some player, (Not exactly sure who it will be...Roy Hall? I don't know!) they can actually get the player who had a fight with his offensive coordinator.</p>
<p>But the likes of that happening of the Colts getting Boldin is very slim. They either look to get Hakeem Nicks as the 28th pick in the draft. But hey, a Colts fan can dream.</p>
<p>Is that right, Ryan Michael and Bryan Brackeny?</p>
<p><strong>Baltimore Ravens</strong></p>
<p>Well the Ravens do have the best chance of getting Boldin, like Paul <a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4074460&name=clayton_john&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fespn%2fblog%2findex%3fentryID%3d4074460%26name%3dclayton_john">said</a> and <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/158822-regardless-of-potential-boldin-trade-ravens-have-gotten-even-better">Isaac</a>. But now, it's my turn to say something, but you guys did a good job, too. Now Derrick Mason won't stay in the NFL forever. He is a reliable receiver and he will retire and probably two-to-three years at the  maximum probably.</p>
<p>And then if Mason leaves, who will help out Mark Clayton? You can't possibly change Todd Heap to receiver, although that would be pretty cool. Or L.J. Smith, but it might not happen for Smith because Isaac said he "sucks." But don't worry Isaac, Smith could be good for the Ravens.</p>
<p>Now let's get to my point of Boldin.</p>
<p>They could trade their first- or third-round picks for Boldin. With Boldin in the mix for the Ravens, and a possible chance of Barden in the third- or fourth-round of the draft, it could happen. And there has been a lot of "hoopla" going on for the Ravens (again, like Isaac has said...what a Ravens' fan he is) and with Boldin in, it would be hoop-hoopla.</p>
<p><strong>Minnesota Vikings</strong></p>
<p>Hey, Mitchell Timp, this is for you. So the Vikings last best receiver (This is what I think. No disrespect to the Vikings fans and the receivers for the team) has been Randy Moss who has been with them from 1998-2004. Then there was Cris Carter.</p>
<p>Now there is Bernard Berrian.</p>
<p>I know there is some other receivers for the team that are good, like Sidney Rice or Bobby Wade. But those guys are developing into good receivers. Bobby Wade is actually pretty good but I personally think that Berrian is a lot better. Berrian, 99-yard touchdown pass last year.</p>
<p>Pretty good, huh?</p>
<p>But then there is Anquan Boldin...</p>
<p>If the Vikings could trade someone, or a draft pick (but more of a draft pick, I bet), they could get Boldin. Boldin wants money. Vikings can do that. Can Boldin be a Viking? Hell yes. If he was...Vikings got there guy.</p>
<p>No more crap for T-Jack. He has a guy to throw to, finally! Why did they get Rosenfels then?</p>
<p><strong>Miami Dolphins</strong></p>
<p>Been hearing rumors that Dolphins <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/150068-big-nfl-news-featuring-anquan-boldin-will-rodney-harrison-retire?search_query=big%20nfl%20news">could get Boldin</a> in one of my series of Big Sports News. I believe it. Again, trade someone. The Dolphins have their quarterback in Chad Pennington, who I think won Comeback Player of the Year (What is that? Like 30 of them already?), and Pennington is looking for a receiver.</p>
<p>The Dolphins do have Ted Ginn Jr., Ernest Wilford (Who really didn't play last year. Probably due to injury.), Greg Camarillo, and Davone Bess. But Camarillo and Bess are developing. The Dolphins could trade Wilford and (Or <em>or)</em> one-to-three draft picks for Boldin.</p>
<p>But what can he do?</p>
<p>A lot. The Dolphins really need help on the passing game. They really relied on Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Now they got to step up there game. With the Dolphins getting Boldin, they could probably also get Darrius Heyward-Bey along to help the passing game big time.</p>
<p>Sound good, huh?</p>
<p><strong>Jacksonville Jaguars</strong></p>
<p>With the <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/idUSTRE53K0DK20090421">signing of Torry Holt</a> just now, the Jaguars need another receiver, too. Holt is turning 32, and they need a younger 28-year-old guy like Anquan Boldin along with the "Big Game."</p>
<p>Because Torry Holt can't take place of the releases of Matt Jones and Jerry Porter, who looked to become stars but couldn't. Jerry Porter didn't do anything and Matt Jones had an arrest (what a shame).</p>
<p>I don't how the Jaguars could get Boldin but with that strong first round pick and probably a third-to-fifth round pick, they could get Boldin. It would be nice. Then there is no point getting a quarterback in the NFL draft. David Garrard needs a target.</p>
<p>The Jaguars are known for their running game and it might not be as good because of the loss of Fred Taylor. So if the Jaguars can get another receiver, especially Boldin (of course), they could be dominant team in the AFC South.</p>
<p>Although I don't want that to happen because I am a Colts fan. Sorry Jags.</p>
<p><strong>New York Giants</strong></p>
<p>The Giants were doing...great! There was that Earth,Wind, and Fire system. Eli Manning really developing into a Pro Bowl quarterback. But something screwed it up: Plaxico "Shoot-Myself-In-The-Leg" Burress.</p>
<p>The Giants released him not too long ago. Now they need to find a receiver, fast! They don't even have Amani Toomer! All they have is...well, nobody! Get Boldin, quick! With Boldin, the Giants are back on track.</p>
<p>Maybe Boldin won't shoot but Manning will because he is so happy with Anquan on the team.</p>
<p><strong>San Francisco 49ers</strong></p>
<p>With a possible chance of Michael Vick getting added (<a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/150852-coach-singletary-and-michael-vicks-return-to-the-nfl">t</a><a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/150852-coach-singletary-and-michael-vicks-return-to-the-nfl">hanks to Mike</a>) or getting Mark Sanchez in the NFL Draft, the Niners need a receiver. They have Isaac Bruce and Brandon Jones. Don't forget this rising star: Josh Morgan. And then there is the tight end, Vernon Davis.</p>
<p>But who are the 49ers missing? No one you may say. How so? They need a receiver. Bruce will retire next year,  guarantee it. I know he is going to enter his 16th season but there is no way there is going to be a 17th.</p>
<p>Now to Boldin.</p>
<p>49ers could possibly get him. Trade both of their quarterbacks (Shaun Hill and Alex Smith, but that might not work at all with those two guys because they suck) and pair of draft picks and you got Boldin. But I don't think it will happen.</p>
<p>With the Niners in the same<img class="gl_italic" src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" border="0" alt="Italic" /> division as the Cardinals, they won't to take a risk of getting beaten by them all the time! They can get Boldin, but it would be tough as hell as it is.</p>
<p><strong>Tampa Bay Buccaneers</strong></p>
<p>Don't worry, folks. I am almost done. Just this one and two more. Now of course I had to involve the Buccaneers. Sure, they have Michael Clayton, but his status has been going down by the years. His status just went up, somehow, by the re-signing of him. <strong><br /></strong></p>
<p>With Byron Leftwich signed; it will be Josh Johnson, Brian Griese, Luke McCown, and (of course) Leftwich competing for the starting quarterback spot in the depth chart. I think Leftwich would win with Johnson as a runner-up (I'll <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/142332-bucs-talk-with-jeff-garcia-gone-could-josh-johnson-possibly-be-your-man?search_query=josh%20johnson%20josh%20dhani">tell you</a> why).</p>
<p>But who can be the receiver for the Buccaneers? Joey Galloway is long gone, he is a Cheatriot, oops, I mean Patriots (sorry Andrew Cahill, Sean Crowe, and many other Patriots fans). Buccaneers need a wide receiver.</p>
<p>Get Boldin.</p>
<p>They could trade somebody. Someone like Josh Johnson and a draft pick. That could work. Kurt Warner will retire in one-to-two years, however. Matt Leinart, not sure of him as a real good potential starting quarterback, even though he does have a <a href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/137033-second-chance-players-troy-smith-vince-young-and-matt-leinart?search_query=matt%20leinart%20second%20chance">second chance</a>. With Boldin, the Bucs are capable of being a strong team.</p>
<p>Philadelphia Eagles</p>
<p>Now, this is to guys like Dan Parzaych (sorry if I mis-spelled your name here man), Bryn and Cody Swartz, and Geoff Crawley. Now the Eagles look to have the best bet I am not too sure but let's get a move on!</p>
<p>With "Fraction" DeSean Jackson and Kevin Curtis, the Eagles have somebody missing. McNabb needs the best receiver since T.O. Now he can.</p>
<p>If they can trade some draft picks, they have a potential chance of getting Anquan Boldin. And it is better than getting Knowshon Moreno in the draft. Trust me. It is. 100 percent  guaranteed you'll be satisfied with that kind of product.</p>
<p>It will work and the Eagles can be real amazing. And guess what? Super Bowl time.</p>
<p>Arizona Cardinals</p>
<p>How about Boldin goes with nobody? I mean seriously. The Cardinals are missing out on a great receiver. Who will the Cards replace Boldin with? Amani Toomer? No! Come on!</p>
<p>It was all good with the "Big Three" of the Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Steve Breaston. Stay and play.</p>
<p>Where Will Boldin Go?</p>
<p><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_fXu8qsnYLaQ/Se49NTJLaJI/AAAAAAAAAD0/PB4Os2XMD94/s1600-h/get+boldin.jpg"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_fXu8qsnYLaQ/Se49NTJLaJI/AAAAAAAAAD0/PB4Os2XMD94/s320/get+boldin.jpg" border="0" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 220px; height: 220px;" /></a></p>
<p>I say the Baltimore Ravens. And hey, why not? I don't think the Cardinals should ever trade Boldin to an NFC team because then they would get killed by Boldin in the playoffs and probably the  regular season.</p>
<p>With an AFC team, you just play Boldin once every four years and maybe meet him in the Super Bowl. The other AFC teams might not have the cap room, like the Cardinals themselves. And Boldin deserves more money.</p>
<p>So Ravens get Boldin.</p>
<p>What do you think? Fans, say your word.</p>

Baltimore Beat Down NFL Talk: Facing the Facts of Where Anquan Boldin Will Really Go

A lot of talk has been going around Anquan Boldin. Thanks to two good friends of mine, Isaac Barrow and Mitchell Timp, helped me with some idea.

I don't know if Isaac knows, but his article really made want to make an Anquan Boldin article of my own. He, and a little bit of John Clayton (ESPN), said that the Ravens have the best chance of getting him.

I agree but there is some more teams.

Well I am a Colts fan, aren't I? Well I didn't pick Boldin for the Indianapolis Colts just because I am a Colts fan. Because the Colts actually need him. Quite a while ago, the Colts released Marvin Harrison because of the offer.

Now the Colts really need a receiver. I said, in my mock draft with Mitchell Timp, that the Colts will get Ramses Barden. Bad idea. Not the typical player in that round. But he is a steal but I say, like Isaac Barrow, he will be in the second-through-third round of the draft. I am also his friend on Facebook!

And now back to the Boldin story.

Now the Colts have no receiver to replace Harrison. Who will, though? One answer: Anquan Boldin. If the Colts can trade some of their draft picks and probably some player, (Not exactly sure who it will be...Roy Hall? Is that right, Ryan Michael and Bryan Brackeny?

Baltimore Ravens

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Don't worry, folks. I am almost done. Just this one and two more. Now of course I had to involve the Buccaneers. Sure, they have Michael Clayton, but his status has been going down by the years. His status just went up, somehow, by the re-signing of him.

With Byron Leftwich signed; it will be Josh Johnson, Brian Griese, Luke McCown, and (of course) Leftwich competing for the starting quarterback spot in the depth chart. I think Leftwich would win with Johnson as a runner-up (I'll tell you why).

But who can be the receiver for the Buccaneers?

And hey, why not? I don't think the Cardinals should ever trade Boldin to an NFC team because then they would get killed by Boldin in the playoffs and probably the regular season.

With an AFC team, you just play Boldin once every four years and maybe meet him in the Super Bowl. The other AFC teams might not have the cap room, like the Cardinals themselves. And Boldin deserves more money.

So Ravens get Boldin.

What do you think? Fans, say your word.

Black Shoe Diaries Hoosiers Beat PSU, 3-2

On Saturday, the Hoosiers made the doubleheader sweep over the Penn State Nittany Lions. They beat them by a score of 3-2. The Hoosiers improved to 18-18 and are now 8-3 in the Big Ten.

In the first game of the series, the Hoosiers won by 14 runs, 15-1. Then in the second game Penn State got them but now the Hoosiers have got them back. Indiana is now one and a half game behind the Ohio State Buckeyes for first place in the Big Ten standings.

Matt Bashore had done brilliant in pitching and so did Chris Squires, who was pretty stellar out of the bullpen. Bashore allowed very small numbers to the Nittany Lions in the seven innings he played in: two runs on six hits and a walk. Squires also did well, picking up his third save of the year, and only allowed one hit.

John Phegley and Alex Dickerson had RBI singles while Brian Lambert had an RBI triple for the Hoosiers. Jerrud Sabourin had two hits in the game. But he wasn't the only one. Dickerson and Lambert had two hits, as well, in the win.

Nittany Lions', Mike Lorentson, did horrible as he allowed ten hits in the five innings he had pitched in. But the damage did get worse.

The Hoosiers did great and are looking to expand as the season goes through. Their record in the Big Ten, 8-3, is the best start they have had since 2002. That is seven years!

Indiana has now earned a split, or better, in each of the last eight Big Ten series, the longest streak out of every other team in the conference! The Hoosiers are 19-7 in their last 26 Big Ten outings.

Pretty good, huh?

The Hoosiers will be going strong on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. On Tuesday, they will be facing, and host, the Louisville Cardinals at four o'clock P.M. Then on Wednesday, they will be traveling to face the Indiana State Sycamores on the same time, four o'clock P.M.

I am a big fan of the Sycamores and Hoosiers, so I would like to see how it turns out. Let's see how the Hoosiers do in the future. They are looking good, maybe great, this year!

More College Baseball for the Hoosiers coming soon!

The Good Phight Phillies Lose to Padres, 8-7

Cole Hamels did pretty good. Played pretty good. Played a better than little bit better. Just played good. But it wasn't good enough. Not at all. They just couldn't give a win for Harry Kalas.

Hamels allowed eight hits, five runs, one walk, and three home runs that day on the honoring of the great announcer, Harry Kalas. Hamels did not play pretty good. He played worse than good. Worse than worse. Horrible!

The Phillies did have the game but blew the lead. They had a two-run lead in the eighth inning but couldn't hold it with Ryan Madson allowing three scores.

Greg Dobbs came in with the tying run and the inning ended with Ryan Howard up to walk the plank. The Phillies did mess up Padres' Chris Young. He allowed seven runs in almost four innings!

Chase Utley started out with a three-run home run in the first inning. The Phillies came back in third, including a triple by Raul Ibanez and a run scored in the fourth.

Hamels had allowed 11 hits in pretty much three innings in his debut on Friday versus the Rockies, who made it to the World Series a couple of years ago. He did improve from 85-86 miles-per-hour to 89-90 miles-per-hour.

But it couldn't hold a win in the ballpark. Let's hope they come back strong. Don't give up hope like Cody Swartz said. Got 150 games to go, they can improve, easily.

Just don't give up hope. If you do, nothing can be satisfied.

Records for comparison:

Phillies: 4-5

Padres: 8-3

Stampede Blue Dominic Rhodes Signs With Bills

It is now official: Bills have found their new running back. His name? Dominic Rhodes. Last year, Rhodes was on my favorite team: The Indianapolis Colts. Now he is gone. What can the Colts do now? But right now, the Bills have time to shine.

On Monday, Rhodes was already going to ink a deal with the Bills for two years. And the Bills needed a primary, veteran running back more than the Colts need to. The Colts now have Lance Ball, Mike Hart, and, of course, Joseph Addai.

Now that Marshawn Lynch will face a three-game suspension at the starting of the regular season, they need a running back to fill in. They can't use Fred Jackson because he is right now a training-camp holdout. Rhodes could be a perfect fit.

And Rhodes told Sirius Radio that he would like to start against the New England Patriots in the season-opener because of Lynch not there. And you never know, Rhodes could be a starter.

It will be like the Colts' one-two punch with Addai and Rhodes but now it will be Rhodes and Lynch. I think the Bills' one-two punch is better, in my mind, even though I am a Colts fan.

"They're looking for big production out of me," Rhodes said. "I am ready."

I'm sure he is.

Rhodes was a backup to Joseph Addai but Rhodes did have some carries and did start four games. He had 538 rushing yards on 152 attempts, six touchdowns, and almost four yards per carry average (he had 3.5).

Rhodes is now 30 years old. He played for the Colts in seven-out-of-the-eight seasons he played in the league. His ninth season looks to be good for this year. He was also a big key to the Colts' successful win over the Chicago Bears (sorry Bob Warja) in Super Bowl XLI in a 29-17 win.

Rhodes, in his rookie year, had his only 1,000-yard-season because of Edgerrin James' injury. Rhodes has never started a complete season like those star running backs you see. He is more of a helping-running back, which are the type of backs I like to enjoy watching.

They are like point guards. Helping other guys out and giving out assists for themselves. That is the type of guy Rhodes is. Can he do it for Marshawn Lynch? Of course he can!

He was supposed to be re-signed by the Colts but an offer never was made. Probably not a lot of team were interested because of the DUI arrest he had in 2007, a couple of days after the Super Bowl win. If he had never done that, guarantee that 32 NFL teams would be all over him.

But now he won't do that anymore!

"I was getting a little nervous," Rhodes said. "I was like, "Didn't I do a good job last year?'"

Well the Bills think so. Why else would they sign you? And every Colts fan believed you were GREAT last year.

Watch out defenses, Rhodes could be a scare!

Black Shoe Diaries Penn State Snaps Hoosiers' Four-Game Win Streak In a 9-7 Win

Well, now that I will start writing for the Hoosiers, why don't we go with baseball? This is my second ever Hoosiers' article and I look to go to my 102nd soon. Here is my first Hoosiers' baseball article. Enjoy!

The Hoosiers were trailing Penn State by six runs, 7-1 deficit! Luckily, they tied the game but Penn State made a pair of runs in the eighth inning to win the first game of the three-game series. Let's hope the Hoosiers win the next two to beat them in the series.

But for right now, Penn State knocked off Indiana, 9-7. It was such a oh-so-close game. The loss snapped their four-game win streak and make overall record fall to 16-18, 6-3 in Big Ten.

Alex Dickerson had one hell of a game, making a solo home run and having his 11th long ball of the year. That ties freshman, Mike Sabo, who had 11 homers in 1985. Now Dickerson ties the 24-year-old record.

But Mike Deese did better. He was three-of-five and had a pair of home runs. He also had five RBI. T.J. Macy only allowed seven hits over seven innings and it boosted him up to 3-2. Hoosiers', Matt Carr, didn't do so well, though, by finishing 1-4.

Penn State made some pretty good runs in the eighth inning. To start out the inning, Deese scored a single on Carr. But then Penn State's, Cory Wine, came in and got out to make the first of the inning.

Jordan Steranka then came in to deliver the most biggest hit in the game. He made a double to deep left center which made a spot for two to score in the game. Everything went right for the Nittany Lions.

But Indiana now had their turn on the Lions. They didn't. They were literally threatened by pitcher, Ryan Ignas, in the eighth and ninth inning. Three outs came out fast and it ended the inning. Off to the ninth! He did it again.

The game was over anyways, now. The Hoosiers will return to bring revenge on Saturday at one o'clock. It will be at Sembower Field. Eric Arnett looks to lead the Hoosiers in the pitching. Let's see how he does. As of right now, the Hoosiers can beat the Nittany Lions, to me.

Just keep on slugging, and keep on winning!

GO HOOSIERS!

Indy Cornrows Pacers Overcome 17-Point Deficit In a 115-108 Win Over the Bucks

Even though I am a huge Pacers fan, this is the second ever Pacers game I have ever been to. Yep, I know. The first one was against the Hornets in 2006 when the Pacers lost, 100-91. But when I was at the game, it was really fun.

We saw Miss America, got autographs from the mascots whose names are Boomer and Bowser, and then there was some other people. It was just me and my Dad there. I got free tickets!

How? That question can be answered, easily. There is this thing called the Pacers Kids Club I signed up for a year ago and I get free tickets to games. I was going to the Cavaliers game, the one that happened on Monday in a loss, but I had no time.

We started out in the very top section of the game. Then somehow we just cheated our way down and we were now in the seats that were about 30 or 40 feet away from the court-side seats. It was so awesome!

Now even though the Pacers have finished the year with a 36-46 record like last year, it was truly a fun year. Now the Pacers will make the playoffs next year. And this recap was surely fun also:

It was halftime and Indiana was winning, 57-49. Then the disaster struck when at the end of the third quarter, the score was 88-73 with the Bucks leading. It was truly horrible but the Pacers came back strong with Danny Granger leading the way in a 115-108 win.

"We've had a crazy, crazy season,'' Indiana point guard Jarrett Jack said. "Games that we thought we had control over, we ended up losing them in the end, and I thought we were kind of headed down that same road. But the guys showed a lot of fight, we were able to pull ourselves out of that bad situation and end our season right with a big 'W.'''

Thanks god they did! Or else out of the two Pacers games I have been to, the Pacers have been 0-2. Now it's 1-1.

Danny Granger's 35 points helped him gain more in the rankings of the NBA's Most Improved Player award. 16 of his 35 points came in the fourth quarter. It was a exciting thing to see because Brandon Rush, who had 25 points (15 in fourth quarter) and Danny Granger just kept drilling three-pointers.

Jarrett Jack, who had eight points and 10 assists. was just running around and juking people. Then there was T.J. Ford who was just made himself look blazing fast! This also marked Granger's 23rd game of the season with 30 points or more scored.

Even though the Bucks lost and finished the season with a 34-48 record, which is last in the Central Conference, the Bucks had their ways with Indy, too. I thought it was over when I was looking at the scoreboard in Conseco Fieldhouse.

It showed the Bucks winning, 93-78. They also lead by more than 17 points and the Pacers overcame the deficit. The Bucks also had a 20-0 run but the Pacers still won. I remember a play when Danny Granger stole the ball and while he was running down the court, he made a shot right from downtown. Nothing but net!

The Pacers outscored the Bucks big time in the fourth quarter by a score of 43-20. They made seven shots from behind-the-arc and brought huge payback after being outscored by Milwaukee in the third quarter by a score of 39-16.

What a bizarre game! Isn't that right Jim?

"A bizarro game,'' Jim O'Brien said.

The Pacers played most of the fourth quarter with a unit most Indiana fans aren't familiar with: Danny Granger, Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack, Josh McRoberts, and Travis Diener.

O'Brien credited and was proud of the effort McRoberts and Diener put into the process. Now they don't have to show this picture from Pacers Digest, the profile picture of Infinite MAN Force.

"I would say they provided a tremendous spark,'' O'Brien said. "If it wasn't for the guys we had in the whole fourth quarter, we don't win this basketball game.''

Troy Murphy had a hell of a game. He also set a team record. He had 12 rebounds of the day and has had 861 rebounds of the season! A Pacers record! He broke the record of Clark Kellog's for most rebounds in a season by a Pacers player. Congratulations Troy!

"It means a lot,'' Murphy said. "I'm very proud to be associated with this franchise, and any kind of success with a franchise that has this kind of history is a great honor.'' Thanks for saying that about the best team in the NBA!

But besides setting a team record, he also set a league record. He set the NBA record with finishing the Top Five in these two categories: Three-point percentage and rebounds. Congrats, again, Troy!

Buck's Coach wasn't happy but the Bucks put in some great effort:

"We built a nice lead and we were playing very well and playing really hard and playing good defense. And, as has happened to us so many times this year, we had a hard time sustaining that effort, concentration. We started jogging back in transition, gave up some threes. They got that working for them. That's their game.''

-Scott Skiles, Bucks Coach

It was the Pacers game. It was a very fun year for them and I was happy. They were three games behind the Pistons, who had the eighth seed. If the Pacers won at least three or four more games that they should have won, they would have had a playoff spot.

But you can't do anything about it. But it was their game and next year, it will be their year!

So they brought there passion, pride, and that is why we call them the Pacers!

Roll 'Bama Roll Comparisons: Rick Ross vs. Andre Smith

Hello, Bleacher Report. I will be starting a very new series called Comparisons. You've seen Big Sports News, The Talk, and Does Anyone Remember.

There was a similar article like this one. Don't you remember me comparing Terrell Owens and Soulja Boy? It's kind of like this but that one was just something else.

Now you are going to see Comparisons. I just compare two people, and at least one has to be involved with sports somehow, or else it wouldn't be on this site. They both have this one thing that is similar or I just compare them for no reason.

I think you might know what the similarity is between Rick Ross and Andre Smith in this picture. But, hey, that's good!

Well let's start. I think we all know what it is: their bodies. I really don't want to make fun of them at all, but at least it isn't worse as some unlucky ones. Okay now, let's get to it.

Let's start with Rick Ross....

Rick Ross

This guy is an okay rapper. I listen to rap, a lot! And Rick Ross just (Oh...how do I say it?) stinks in his new songs. Now he is bringing all of 50 Cent's, by the way is my favorite rapper, foes to make a diss song. Why do you want to do that?

And the song literally is horrible! And anyways, 50 dissed you badly! He also responded to his track. 50 has dissed all of his foes and they try all together to diss him! Can't do it. He's too good. But besides talking about the rap music and disses because this a SPORTS ARTICLE, let's get to my point.

I never liked Rick Ross, and nor will I EVER! Especially when you do this! Blech!

Okay, now that that is out of the way, Rick Ross and Andre Smith have ugly bodies. I first saw Rick Ross' in the music video for The Boss featuring T-Pain. It showed Rick Ross with his shirt off and you can see those so-called "jelly rolls" on his belly.

Disgusting!

I really don't like seeing those. He had like one or two of them. It showed with his shirt off like twice! It was truly a disgusting thing to see.

And in the comments, the people said it was disgusting. They were like, "Why would you want to show your body? You are disgusting!" But you think Ross would listen? Heck no! He did it again and showed the whole world.

I mean, come on! Don't hang out. Hang in! Work out! That's all I have to say. But now that you have started your own group of " fatties," then I guess you won't be having your fruits and vegetables for a long time!

So just please stop!

Who's turn is it now? Oh right!

Andre Smith

Now this guy just scared me. When I was watching NFL Network, and it showed his Pro Day, it was just "unimpressive" as the scouts say. And also, why would you run with your shirt off?

You can tell he didn't look happy on camera with his shirt off. He also lost seven pounds. He first weighed in at 332 pounds and then on his Pro Day, he went down to 325 pounds. He said it was the lowest weight he has had in three years!

Now I really, and never, wanted make fun of this guy. Scouts have said that he has an ugly body. Now I can believe that. But when he was running with his shirt off, and his fat was just jiggling around town, it just busted his draft ranking. But not really. I say that he is going to the Bills.

Now it doesn't really matter if this guy is big. There are a lot of the offensive lineman in the NFL that are just huge. Take a look at the NFL draft bust, Mike Williams. He was 360 pounds! Now I don't want to see his body but here's a sneak peek. Now if he had his shirt off, which is disgusting and sort of strange to see, you'll think it is much worse than Smith's.

Now a lot of football players have that "gut" sticking out. It has been well over a month since Smith's sad Pro Day. But really, this guy probably has improved his shape. I don't want to make fun of him that much. The money he makes in a year is probably the money an average human makes in a lifetime!

This guy has huge potential and I see him as a Hall-of-Famer. I never want to bash this guy, but I would love to bash Rick Ross.

Now if you want to see a fat football player, there are no worries. People have faced the crowd. And this guy was brave enough to show it. He swallowed his quarterback and linebacker.

Conclusion

Well now that I compared the guys, which is worse and which is better? I say Rick Ross is worse and Andre Smith is better.

Why?

Well Andre Smith is a football player. This guy could get into to shape easily. You don't have to have to be big and buff and be a dominant offensive lineman. The only six-pack lineman I've seen is Tony Mandraich, and we all know what has happened to him! He also took steroids by the way.

And Rick Ross can never lose weight if he tried. If he were to be a football player, which is impossible for him to be, I'd say it would be a tie. But Andre Smith could improve. This guy has potential and I'd like to see how he does.

I voted for Andre Smith with the better. Rick Ross for the worse. Agree? Disagree? YOU DECIDE! Comment below and see what you think!

This is a humor article, yes! Hope these guys won't sue me. Well I know Rick Ross will but Andre Smith will be questionable. Well I hope I'm NOT screwed!

Pinstripe Alley Does Anyone Remember....Mark Whiten?

Does anyone remember Mark "Hard Hittin'" Whiten?

I do and very well, also. You probably thought that in my "Does Anyone Remember...." series that I only use football players. Well I use other players, too. I also will do MLB, NBA, PGA, and probably Boxing in my series.

So now I'm with Mark Whiten. Now I have a reason to use every player for my series. I usually get it from my player cards. And that is how I found Mark Whiten with that.

I thought this guy was pretty good and by looking at his statistics, he is pretty good for a player who played in the MLB for only 10 years! Everyone called him "Hard Hittin'." If you don't believe me on that one, Baseball-Reference says so and this cool picture of him.

So you get the picture. But I'm not done yet. And this is where I explain his story:

Well, now that he is 42 years old, you won't be seeing this guy playing. Or will we?

He was an outfielder and, something that is pretty cool, a switch-hitter. He played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, and (get happy Kenny Ducey) the New York Yankees.

Now let's get to the real deal.

Born in Pensacola, Florida, Whiten didn't need to go anywhere for a vacation. He was also destined to be a MLB star. He was drafted by the Blue Jays in the 1986 amateur draft. Four years later, in the year of 1990, he made his MLB debut.

Whiten, to everyone, was a typical up-and-down player. He ended the 1990 year with two home runs and 12 runs. He also had 7 RBI. Everyone called him a power-hitter. He hit for power. But in the field and at plate, the mental lapses hurt him.

His next year was actually pretty good. After having 9 home runs, 46 runs, and 45 RBI; Whiten finished sixth in the AL Rookie of the Year voting. He also played for two teams that year. After those mental lapses, the Blue Jays sent him off to Cleveland during the season. He still had pretty good stats, though.

In 1992, it was Whiten's first-full and last year with the Indians. He finished with nine home runs, 73 runs, and 43 RBI. Whiten would return to Cleveland in 1998. After that disappointing year. But he was the eighth batter in the lineup. But hey, he was 25 years old and was still young.

He was then shipped off to St. Louis to play for the Cardinals. And it was a good thing he went there because that was the best time he had with any other team.

In 1993, his first year with the team, was the best year he ever had.

On September seventh, 1993, Whiten had the best game of the year and of his career. He gained popularity in the MLB with the statistics he had that game. Against the Reds, he had four home runs and 12 runs, which meant that he tied the all-time single-game-records in both categories in the making. He also tied the NL record for most runs batted in with 13.

What a game that was!

That year, he had 25 home runs, 81 runs, and 99 RBI. It also included a .253 batting average.

After a very successful year in 1993, the next year didn't turn out so good. He had pulled his rib-cage muscles but he still managed to play 92 games. He finished with pretty good stats in only 92 games: 14 home runs, 57 runs, and 53 RBI.

Whiten left the Cardinals and had a weird year in 1995. He played for the Red Sox and, my favorite team, the Phillies. That year, he had 12 home runs, 51 runs, and 47 RBI. 1996 became a stranger year for Whiten, as he played for three different teams: Phillies, Braves, Mariners. He had 22 home runs, 76 runs, and 71 RBI that year.

He left the Mariners that year and moved on to the Yankees in 1997. He had five home runs, 57 runs, and 24 RBI. After finally having a full year with a team, the Yankees shipped him off to his forWrite a New Article | Bleacher Reportmer team, the Indians.

He played with them from 1998-2000. In his first year with the team, he had six home runs, 31 runs, and 29 RBI. Then in 1999, he had one home run, two runs, and 4 RBI. Then in 2000, it was his last year with the MLB. He had zero home runs, two runs, and one RBI.

Whiten had a great career, in my mind. He had some great stastics for a player who played in the MLB for only 10 years: .259 batting average, 105 home runs, 423 RBI, 465 runs scored, 804 hits, 129 doubles, 20 triples, 70 stolen bases in just 939 games.

He retired at the age of 33.

But his baseball career wasn't over. He played some more baseball from 2001-2003.

He played with the Long Island Ducks, mostly, of the Atlantic League. He didn't play baseball, though, in 2001. He did play in 2002 and 2003. In 2002, he played for two teams: Ducks and the Las Vegas 51s.

In 2002, at the age of 35, he had these stats: eight home runs, three runs, and two RBI. Then in 2003, it was Whiten's last year ever of baseball. At the age of 36, he had two home runs. The rest of the stats were never found, though.

Whiten has also experienced pitching. On July 31st, 1998, when Whiten was on the Indians, he had pitched against the Oakland Athletics. He only pitched one inning, though. He walked two and gave up a hit and a run. He also struck out future AL MVP, Miguel Tejada. According to Wikipedia, he had a perfect K/9 ratio of 27.

Whiten had a great baseball career. There was a 2002 article of Whiten of where he has been, but I explained better. Whiten has done great in his career in the MLB and the other baseball leagues.

And he will always be remembered as Hard Hittin'.

Now do you remember Mark Whiten?

Talking Chop Does Anyone Remember....Mark Whiten?

Still a successful baseball player, still Hard Hittin'.

Some of the information has been provided by Baseball-Reference, Wikipedia, and MLB.com.

Whiten has also been featured in Sports Illustrated.

Indy Cornrows Pacers Kill Raptors 130-101

The Pacers really showed what they got. Even though they are still in the playoff hunt, according to the standings, it will be hard to make the playoffs, even if they tried. With the Pistons on a two-game win streak, and having a 38-40 record with the Bulls, they both or one of them have to lose every game.

It will be so hard, though.

If the Bulls or Pistons win one more game, the Pacers are out. The Pacers best record they can get this year is a 38-44 record.

Is it possbile that they can make it?

Even if they don't, the playoff chances for them next year won't be hard. Most NBA fans I ask say they have a great chance of making it next year but not this year. One more year, Indy fans! One more year.

Even though the Pacers have a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs next year, let's start a recap for this year. On April 8, 2009, when the Pacers destroyed the Raptors, by 29 points:

You know when some team is winning by 20 or 30 points and you know they are going to win so you leave early in the last quarter? Well, that is what Pacers fans did yesterday, but not in a bad way. Pacers were blown out a couple of times this year, but this time it was their turn, as they beat the Raptors, 130-101.

Danny Granger, looking to be the Most Improved Player, had 29 points as he is becoming a star for not just the Pacers, but now the NBA. The Pacers finally needed an easy win and they got it.

Pacers, who are number one in wins decided by three points or less, reached up to more than 41 points in their lead against the Raptors. Have they shown they are capable of winning? Fans think so. So leading by 41 points made it official: a win.

"It was great, honestly,'' Granger said. "You never want to see the fans leave, but it's great to blow a team out. I think a bunch of us didn't even play in the fourth quarter.''

Besides Granger's 29 points, other Pacers performed well also. Jarrett Jack came along with 23 points, followed by Roy Hibbert's 17. Troy Murphy also helped out with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Then came Josh McRoberts, who had his first career double-double. He had a career-high game with 12 points and 11 rebounds, all that happened in 21 minutes. McRoberts, Sir, you could be a great Pacer for next year.

"It's good to get the opportunity to get out there and play and be involved in a win,'' McRoberts said. "Obviously, you can't do that from where I sit at the end of the bench. And when the opportunity presents itself, I want to get out there and do the best I can and help out.'' And he did.

The Pacers playoff hopes are very slim, but they have shown they can play. They have been doing well. They have shot 50 percent or better in their last five games played. They are also have won six of their last eight games, a 6-2 record.

"I think we have a proud bunch of guys,'' Jack said. "Regardless of what the situation is, whether we're in contention or not in contention, we've got guys who each time they step on the floor, they want to represent the organization really well.''

The Pacers have played hard that day and they look to show more in the next game. Let's see how they do.

You never know, they could make it, but let's just stick with them for next year.

Passion. Pride. Pacers.

The Good Phight Braves Shut Out Phillies, 4-0, 160 Games To Go

So, opening the season with two losses and zero wins after a championship season, huh? Well, it's okay. Why? Come on, you guys have 160 games left to play! Are you serious? It isn't the end, fans...160 games. That's a lot of time to fix that record. And besides, they can bring revenge tomorrow!

One-hundred and sixty games to go. So the recap won't effect their season:

After losing on Opening Day to the Braves, 4-1, the Phillies looked to bring revenge with Jamie Moyer pitching. Not really. They lost, miserably, 4-0, in a blowout defeat to the Braves, again.

Forty-six-year-old veteran-pitcher, Jamie Moyer, looked to bring it on but couldn't pull it in. He allowed four runs on eight hits and struck out and walked two. It was okay but the part that was the key to the game was the four runs allowed.

Opening the season 0-2 isn't so bad. Having 160 games to go, maybe the Phillies can be a good squad like they were last year.

The game started out with Kelly Johnson. He shut Moyer up with a homer. Chipper Jones was the next American Idol to win, by having a double and scoring on Garrett Anderson's single. Kudos to you, Garrett! Jones came back regain his crown with another homer to make it 4-0, which was the final score.

"It is weird," Howard said.

Let's hope the Phillies improve to the Championship team they were like last year. 160 games to go and anything can happen. Misconceptions have been going on in the games. It's time to stop it and turn back into play-makers.

"It's baseball," Moyer said. "You go through your good times and you go through your bad times. It's a matter of being consistent and making good pitches. It's as simple as that. At times I had pretty decent command, but the first pitch of the game was the first pitch of the game. [Johnson] squared it up and hit a home run.

"It was probably up in the zone, but a lot of times, you get that professional courtesy. That's not assumed, but they have a bat in their hands and they're supposed to swing it."

And when you swing it and it turns into a homer, that's how you get it done! 160 games to go, two played and two lost in.

Can they improve?

The Good Phight Moyer, 46, Looks To Bring It On The Braves

Josh Dhani Is the Write and Creator of his Phillies blog called Phillies4Life.com. If you want to join it, comment below or email him at rocksballer58@yahoo.com.

The Phillies didn't look so good on Opening Day. Brett Myers couldn't take the heat, so he gave up some home runs. Now the Phillies are looking for Jamie Moyer, a 46-year-old pitcher, to be the guy for the job.

Even though he turned 46 a couple of months ago, he still has stuff left in the tank. He can still do it. He threw in 196 innings last year. He capped off a win for the Phillies as they won the NL East last year. That was their second consecutive NL East championship they won.

With that, Moyer also joins other pitchers (Phil Niekro, Satchel Paige, and Jack Quinn) to be the first ones to win 10 games or more in season while being 45-years-old or older.

It'll be one hell of a match-up in the pitching standpoint.

Jair Jurrjens (13-10 and 3.68 ERA) vs. Jamie Moyer (16-7 and 3.71 ERA)

Jair Jurregens

After having a stellar rookie season, he looks to bring it on in his sophomore year. Let's hope he won't slump like other pitchers who have done so. The 22-year-old is pretty amazing at what he does. He allowed only .53 home runs per every nine innings he has pitched in, which means he is in fourth-place in the NL in that category.

He has only allowed two runs in the 15 innings he has pitched in Citizens Bank Park. So with that, he is 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA in his four starts against the Phillies, according to MLB.com.

Jamie Moyer

Moyer works a lot on his pitches. He uses a lot of time on them. But even though he does do that, the Braves have so much amount of success against the veteran.

Last year, he went 0-0 with a 6.55 ERA in two starts last year. But that wasn't enough. He is 3-8 with a 5.56 ERA in his 14 match-ups against the Braves in his meaningful career. Can Moyer bring it on today?

Could the Phillies win? Can they bring on revenge towards the Braves after a horrible loss? If the Phillies lead after eight innings, I guarantee you they will! According to the stats, they were 79-0 (yes, that is undefeated) last year after leading eight straight innings.

And also, according to MLB.com, eight players on the Phillies' roster didn't attend the game on Opening Day. With them back (Joe Blanton, Miguel Cairo, Scott Eyre, J.A. Happ, Raul Ibanez, Chan Ho Park, Matt Stairs, and Jack Taschner) they look to win, easily.

Watch out Atlanta, Phillies are coming to your house and they are going to mess you up!

Records for comparison.

Phillies: 0-1

Braves: 1-0

Indy Cornrows Pacers Destroy Thunder, 117-109, Slim Playoff Hopes Still Alive

The standings are still clear.

Right now, four teams are battling for the playoff spot.

The Bucks just fell out of the playoff hunt because of a loss.

The four teams that are still in it are the Detroit Pistons (37-40), Indiana Pacers (33-44), Charlotte Bobcats (34-43), and the New Jersey Nets (32-45).

The Pistons' playoff spot is secure. For the Pacers to make the eighth seed, the Pistons have to lose every game while the Pacers have to win every game.

It will be tough, but anything is possible, right? If they don't make it, hope is on the way for next year.

But is hope on the way this year?

The game the Pacers played in showed that they have heart. They have the determination for the playoffs. They want it badly. Can they do it? Can they actually make it? They haven't made it since the 2005-2006 season. Is the 2008-2009 season the one?

It is unlikely the Pacers will make the playoffs this year, but the Pacers are trying as hard as they can anyways. They can beat the Bobcats for the playoffs. Don't need to worry about that. Right now, it is a battle between the Pistons and Pacers for the playoffs.

Danny Granger brought it on towards the Thunder with his 24 points. Troy Murphy slithered along with his 22 as the Pacers steam-rolled the Thunder by 18 points! Their slim playoff hopes are still alive.

With five suspense games to play, the Pacers are trailing four games behind the Pistons and Bulls, who are both, by the way, tied for the seventh place with a 37-40 record.

"As a collective unit, we didn't want to finish the season on a sour note - regardless of whether we're going to make the playoffs or we're not,'' Granger said. "We've still got to play every game.''

Again, the Pacers shot 50 percent or better. That was the seventh straight game they have done that! With that help, they literally outscored the Thunder by a score of 33-19 in the last quarter.

Four other Pacer players put on numbers, too. Roy Hibbert lead the pack of four with his 17 points. Jarrett Jack followed along with 14 and Brandon Rush went on with 13 points. Acquired from the Raptors, T.J. Ford piled on his points by putting on 12.

"We're not going to make the playoffs,'' Indiana coach Jim O'Brien said. "We could win every game and not make the playoffs. We're too far behind.''

But don't forget, Jim O'Brien: If the Pistons or Bulls lose every game, and the Pacers win every game, look what happens. Don't be so....negative.

And the Pacers, like I said, certainly aren't giving up at all! They have been averaging 110.4 points in their last seven games. Those points are higher than their average. The Pacers have also been 5-2 in the last seven games, also.

"We've just been putting it together lately,'' Granger said. "We've been hitting on all cylinders on the offensive end.''

And with that saying, the Pacers can make the playoffs.

Hope is surely on the way, I guarantee. If they don't make it this year, which it looks like they will, they surely will make it next year. This was probably a rebuilding year for the Pacers. I can see Indy making it next year. If the Pacers just won at least three or four games that they should have won this year, they were in the playoffs.

The luck was bad in those games.

But look where the Pacers have made it so far. They were just one team away from the playoffs. I believed in them the whole year.

If they bring their passion, their pride, they are the Pacers.

Turf Show Times Top 10 Free Agents To Fill In Holt's Shoes

The Rams surprisingly released Torry Holt a while ago and now should look for a receiver to fill in his shoes. These 10 receivers, who are free agents, looks to have what it takes to fill in for the great Torry Holt. These receivers have potential, greatness, and determination. These guys can do it.

10. Darrell Jackson
Darrell Jackson hasn't done much lately but he still has some left in the tank. At 30 years old, he can be helpful. Darrell Jackson and Donnie Avery can be a perfect one-two punch. And then former Dolphins' star, Ryan McMichael, can be in shape and the Rams can become dominant. They can come close to the receiving team of 1999, well not really. Marc Bulger can finally find some more and a little bit more young targets.

9. Marvin Harrison
Although the Rams do want to go young, Marvin Harrison can help out a bit. Marc Bulger struggled most of the time because of the horrible blocking of Rams' offensive line. In this year's draft, they look to get either Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe. Marvin Harrison can be a helpful and productive receiver. Even though he is going to be 37-years-old, he still has a little left in the tank. You know, it wasn't that long since he had a Pro Bowl. He also had a 67-yard-touchdown last year against one of the best defenses, Baltimore Ravens (sorry Isaac Barrow). Marvin still has some left. He can be a good teacher to Donnie Avery.

8. D.J. Hackett
Hackett has been devolping more and more as the years have been going by. In just two games last year, he had 13 catches for 181 yards. That is pretty decent. He will be 28 years old next year and probably has seven or eight more years left of him. He has a lot to prove and a lot left in the big tank of his. He can be a good receiver. He and Avery can be the beastly young guns. Hackett will be the man who catches and Avery will be the guy who runs. It'll be one hell of a combination. Hackett can be a nice target for Marc Bulger. At 6'2" he is dominant.

7. Amani Toomer
After only playing 12 games last year, Amani put on some productive numbers: 48 catches for 580 yards and four touchdowns. He will be 35 next year but he still has probably two or three more years left of him, maybe more. Toomer has been a productive receiver for the Giants. Can he be a nice asset for the Rams? I think so. Toomer has 668 career catches, it's pretty good. This future Hall-of-Famer can be another good teacher towards Donnie Avery.

6. Miles Austin
Turning 25, Miles Austin has so much left in the tank. He had his best year last year: 13 catches for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 21 yards per catch and he wasn't even one of the starting receivers. He can make good company with Donnie Avery. Miles Austin and Donnie Avery can be a perfect one-two punch. It will be two speedy receivers. Miles Austin will scare defenders along with Avery behind his back.

5. Malcom Floyd
Floyd, turning 28, is a tall guy at 6'5". He can leap over defenders whenever he wants to, probably. Floyd has had a good year, because he isn't a starter, with 27 catches for 465 yards and four touchdowns. Dazzling numbers. He only started two games that year. He also had a game with five catches for 67 yards. Floyd will be a good receiver for the Rams. This guy is amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams get him. This guy is awesome. He and Ryan McMichael will be a scare for defenders.

4. Jerry Porter
Turning 31, Porter didn't do ANYTHING last year. Porter was going to be a great receiver for the Jaguars last year but couldn't because of injuries. But he did have 11 catches for 181 yards and one touchdown. He also had 16 yards per catch. He has a good five or six years left in the tank. He can be another good teacher for Donnie Avery. These guys can be another good one-two punch.

3. Plaxico Burress
Even though the shooting takes a big part, Burress can be a good receiver for the Rams. Even if he gets signed, he might miss the whole year or miss eight weeks of the season. I don't know if the Rams can accept that but maybe they can go through another grueling year. NO WAY! I don't know what would happen if they got Burress. If they do sign Burress and Plax doesn't need to go through anything, it will be a major hell for defenses. But the odds of that happening is probably 10 percent, maybe lower.

2. Shaun McDonald
Shaun McDonald, who will be 28, was a former Ram. He didn't do that much but he has done a lot for the Lions. In just seven games in his debut year with Lions, he had 79 catches for 943 yards and six touchdowns. It also included a 49-yard-touchdown. Last year, in seven games again, he had 35 catches for 332 yards and one touchdown. McDonald looks to be a great receiver for the Rams if he were signed. If he can do those stats in seven games like he did with the Lions, just imagine what he can do if he were playing 16 total games! What a year that would be for him. He and Avery will be amazing that way. So being 5'10" isn't so bad.

1. Mike Furrey
Furrey has had a good story. Turning 32, he is my favorite to fill in for the great Torry Holt. He has been one hell of a receiver for the Lions. He did play with the Rams, but didn't do anything there. His best year was when he had 98 catches for 1,086 yards and six touchdowns. He has been putting on big numbers for Detroit. Can he pass it on to the Rams. He has a good five-to-seven years left of him. He is my favorite. This guy needs to be signed. He will be a marvelous receiver. If he can do it, it will be excellent!

Get It?
So you got it? These guys maybe signed. Some of them may not. Maybe none of them. Maybe they will get a receiver in the draft. Maybe not. But even if any receiver will come...none of them will ever be better than Torry Holt.

Indy Cornrows Remember the Name: Brandon Rush

After reading the article by Sixty Feet, Six Inches, it inspired me to write this article. The story is spectacular. Brandon Rush came into the NBA as a nobody. Now, he is a somebody. Rush's story really speaks to me and that is why I wrote it:

Remember this name. This name, you will hear about for years to come. It's like Fort Minor's "Remember the Name." Rush has a good story. His basketball skills have come from both of his siblings, Kareem and JaRon Rush.

2007: Planning the Draft is Delayed

After averaging 13.8 points, five rebounds, and two assists per game, Brandon Rush declared for the 2007 NBA Draft. But in May 2007, Rush tore his anterior cruciate ligament.

It did stink.

But luckily, on June first, 2007, Rush fixed it by surgery on his torn ACL. He returned to the Kansas Jayhawks for another year.

And it was good that Brandon did that.

2007 Season: The Miracle in Kansas

Rush had a solid year: 13.3 points per game, five rebounds, and two assists per game, again. Rush went into the NCAA tournament and was solid. He was the man of the starting line-up, along with Mario Chalmers.

In the surprising win over North Carolina, Brandon Rush was named the player of that game as he had 25 points and seven rebounds. After that game, Rush was rated the number one small forward, according to Rivals.com.

Rush was also named the MVP of the Big 12 tournament. He was also averaging close to 16 points per game in the six NCAA tournament games. The Jayhawks won the NCAA tournament and Rush declared himself for the NBA draft after that.

2008

Brandon Rush Joins Blazers

Brandon Rush was selected as the 13th overall pick in the NBA draft. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers. Brandon Rush looked to be a great player with the Blazers. It looked to be a one-three punch of Jarrett Jack, Brandon Rush, and Brandon Roy.

It turned out, it didn't happen. Not at all!

Brandon Rush Joins Pacers

Rush was involved in a trade with the Pacers. It was Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack, and Josh McRoberts to the Pacers for Jerryd Bayless and Ike Diogu. It turned out that Rush would fit right in with the team.

Brandon Rush Becomes a Star

Embedded video from &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;a href="http://www.nba.com/video" mce_href="http://www.nba.com/video"&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;NBA Video&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/a&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;

Brandon Rush has been so successful with the Pacers. He has been involving greatly. As of now, he is averaging seven points, three rebounds, and close to one assist (0.9) per game.

He started evolving on March 28th against the Chicago Bulls. His highest points per game was 22 before the game. But today, he did amazing. He and Danny Granger became a one-two punch.

Rush had 29 points in the 112-106 loss to the Chicago Bulls. But the Pacers, 32-44, still have a chance of making the playoffs. Brandon Rush has just been amazing. But that wasn't the end of it.

In the next game, resulting in a 124-115 win over the Wizards, Rush scored a career-high, again, 29 points. In his last two games, he had 58 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists. One heck of a two games Rush has had.

Even though he had only three very good games this year, he really is doing good, filling in for Mike Dunleavy.

Now that Mike Dunleavy is injured, Rush is the starting shooting guard. He is doing a great job at it. I would really like to see Rush win the Sixth Man of the Year award. Can he? He could. I wouldn't be that surprised if he won Rookie of the Year! But that might go to some other heavily contestants.

Rush could win that.

Although this is his rookie year, he looks to become a favorable player for years to come. He can be a dominant player. Can Rush do it? Yes he can. Brandon Rush will be the name everyone will be talking about in the future. With his quickness and strength Rush can do it.

Brandon Rush. "Oh yeah, I remember that guy. He was a beast. That guy is, no doubt, a Hall-of-Famer. I always remember that guy." And so will you.
