don't know if (m)any of you listen to dibble and kennedy on xm but i was in the car for 5 hrs today and caught the show...nolan ryan was a guest and kennedy was the only one in the studio to interview him...nothing earthshaking but i figured i'd post a couple of his thoughts concerning the state of the team

he loves hamilton - compared him to guys he saw break in the majors during his career and said that he is as complete a package as there is likening his talent level to ceaser cedeno, junior and bonds

loves him some murphy too

said that after increasing conditioning and workout programs for the pitchers in the minors he challenged them to go one extra inning in their starts because the more innings a guy gives the team the less the team has to rely on its bullpen which he hopes will allow the club to carry fewer relievers on the 25 man roster...also wants them throwing batting practice...and said that there are a few guys in A AA whom he expects to be in the big league in the next couple of years

also encouraged wash to implement fielding practice more often - both for the sake of having the team on the field together working and to stimulate fan interest at the park

and thad levine is a guest of buck martinez tomorrow on baseball a.m.

there - that's what he said

i have been visiting this site for quite a while now (even remember reading posts from some of you at the old espn board)...i have never really been much of a blogger, message board/chat room -er, but since i have been lurking around in the shadows here for so long i feel like i should introduce myself (red - from texas, now in okc) and perhaps even take the initiative to embarass myself from time to time...

when i checked the site today for reactions to yesterday's double header i thought i'd post my email to the booth last night which some of you might find slightly amusing:

being a rangers fan i was obviously thrilled watching the first game tonight...then the second game got underway...yes, there were milestones and records and general statistics a-plenty to mention, but dear god, how many pained, unrelated, far reaching opportunities can you concoct to reference the 30 runs, josh? by the third inning i calculated at least 20...i called a friend of mine just to ask him if he was listening to the broadcast. when he said that he was i felt a little relieved to know that someone else was suffering along with me because i don't believe that i could have expressed to him in words how absolutely mind numbing it has been listening to you recall it over and over and over...it is one thing to appreciate the fact and dissect it to some degree, but it is another thing entirely to beat the living daylights out of it immediately afterwards...it already feels old now...i am surprised that you haven't figured out a way to tie it into some sort of 80s television reference yet
