A lover of baseball, travel, and traveling for baseball, at the beginning age of obvious decline. I probably see the game in a different light than you do. Or maybe not. Everything changes, from day-to-day. Let's just all say we all like sports, and agree on that.

A firm believer that when things get complicated, take a few steps back, take a deep breath, and look forth at the simplicity and beauty that is the Great American Game. Love it for what it is, and prepare to take all that it gives us, good or bad.

Jason Heyward and Tim Hudson Headline Talking Chop's June Braves MVPs and LVPs

Well, at least the Braves managed to stay over .500 in June for a change. At 13-12, the Braves barely stayed afloat, and I suppose we should take solace in the fact that the team didn't end up...

Jj-bob-300x300

I know I could get one of these on Ebay just as simple, but I wanted to throw this out there for any other bobblehead enthusiasts who may have an extra JJ bobblehead in their possession. I have an extra Braves Craig Kimbrel bobblehead, and an extra minor league AAA Brian McCann bobblehead, and I was curious to know if anyone who also likes bobbleheads of players on other teams would be willing to make a trade for one of these, for a JJ bobblehead? Link to image Email me (in profile) if you're interested, to hash out details.

Hi BCBers. I know I could pretty easily get on Ebay and seek out one of these recent David DeJesus bobbleheads that were given out at the 6/25 Cubs/Mets game, but I wanted to see if there were anyone here who might want to make a trade first. If any of you guys happen to have an extra DeJesus bobblehead, and are also interested in collecting bobbleheads of players from other teams as well, I would like to propose a trade: DeJesus for either an extra Craig Kimbrel 2011 ROY Bobblehead from the 6/13 Braves/Yankees gate giveaway, or I also have a fairly obscure Brian McCann AAA-Gwinnett Braves gate giveaway back from May. Link to image. Straight up, one for one. Thankfully since we're dealing with bobbleheads instead of real people, we have no need to get into arguments about WAR, service time, or make the same rehashed jokes about GMs laughing and hanging up the phone on each other. Anyone interested, please email me (link in profile), and we can hash out details. Thanks Cubbie fans.

At the time of me writing this, the Braves are 7-8 against the AL East, and at their very best could finish 10-8, or 7-11 at the very worst. Regardless of the result, it's a far cry from the 13+...
