Maybe this is the best scenario: he runs for Senate, loses, and then is too toxic to ever get back in the broadcast booth...at any rate, Miss Floyd Engel puts out some good work (hate) here.

I don't like Mark Cuban, but he probably has a really good point here. Thorn in his theory is the LHN.

Check out Tech in the "Success Outside the Top 25" Caption - that's always been our motto...doing more with less since 2000. Will the new recruits Tubby is bringing in translate into more victories, or will it be like Ole Miss and North Carolina?

So who's lying, Tech attorney Ronny Wall or Craig James?

So do they pay you $1,000 to sit at the AD's table - I'm confused...

Calling Tech the "masters of the gimmick schedule" - then he takes pot-shots at Leach and Crabtree in the San Fran section. Not that he cares, but tech will have an outstanding recruiting class who respects more what Mike Leach can produce from his players and in the win column rather than his rapport with jerks like this writer (the press)!

Double-T Nation One guy's rationalization for keeping Leach...

http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2008/12/texas_tech_drop.html

Thanks, Dick, for your arrogant, asinine, and selfish blogpost (paid by the Houston Chronicle) as to why Mike Leach should stay in Lubbock.

As much as I feel this is a slap in the face to the Red Raiders, imagine if you were a Baylor or A&M fan.

It will be sweet "Justice" when Baylor defeats UT in 3 years.

Maybe Dick Justice could also get a little more updated on the negotiations and discover that Myers is no longer a part of it.

Double-T Nation Common Opponents Stats

Here are the stats for the two teams Tech and OSU have played in common this year.

OFFENSE
Opponent OSU Rushing OSU Receiving TT Rushing TT Receiving Total OSU Total TTU Diff
ATM 215 186 111 450 401 561 160
Texas 113 199 105 474 312 579 267
DEFENSE
Opponent OSU Rush D OSU Pass D TT Rush D TT Pass D Total OSU Total TTU Diff
ATM 184 218 20 286 402 306 -96
Texas 113 391 80 294 504 374 -130

As evidenced by the numbers, Tech has outgained their opponents by an average 213.5 yards this season and held them to an average 113 yards less per contest.

Against A&M, OSU had 2 defensive INTs returned for TDs and one punt returned for a TD.  Seems this made the difference  between their "blowout" of A&M and Tech's "struggle."  The numbers do not support OSU as lining up and playing better on either side of the ball in either contest.

OSU did have 112 more rushing yards between the 2 games, but it is somewhat dwarfed by Tech having 539 more passing yards...

The battle in the trenches will never be more important than in this game.
Let's prove we're no longer susceptible to the "bad loss" that Seth wrote so much about this preseason!
WRECK 'EM TECH!

Double-T Nation Negative Press for Tech and Lubbock

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Counterfeiters-take-Texas-Tech-fans-for-a-ride?urn=ncaaf,119260

I saw this on the front page of Yahoo.

Not 12 hours after the biggest victory in school history and the T-Sip media machine is out to discredit Tech and Lubbock.  I can't believe this is what Yahoo is running on its front page.

Seriously, is Lubbock the first place counterfeiters have ever swindled would-be ticket buyers?  I had a friend get taken for $2k on Super Bowl tickets in Houston not long ago...this is not something new.

Trust me, it is a shame that so many people were taken advantage of by these profiteers, but there are many reputable firms (stubhub guarantee for instance) if you want a guaranteed seat.  It's no fun to sweat as a ticket is being scanned and pray for its authenticity...

My question is, how did 500 people get swindled?  The tickets were bid up to easily over $300/seat on all the sites before kickoff.  If you were offered tickets for substantially less than this, wouldn't you be skeptical?

I was walking down 4th Street 3 hours before the game just shuffling between friends' tailgates.  While I was in front of the Double-T shop, I overhead a discussion and watched a T-Sip pull out $300 from his wallet for a PAIR of tickets from a questionable looking seller.  I wish I could remember his face because that was DEFINITELY one of the counterfeits.

Keep things like this in the back of your minds RaiderNation.  They don't want Lubbock at the college football apex, but let's not let it deter us from our ultimate goal!
