It was hot, I remember that much, the day that Rutgers upset Michigan State to open the 2004 season. In my mind, that was the day it all turned around, the day that Rutgers went from laughing stock to powerhouse. Of course, a week later we failed to produce anything a mediocre team can, falling well short in a loss to Division 1-AA New Hampshire.
I am certain that was the day, for a year later the Scarlet Knights went to the Insight Bowl, finishing with a respectful record of 7-5. We haven't missed a bowl game, or had a losing season since 2005.
I have been a full-blow Scarlet Knight fanetic since I was born. I can assure you one of my first words was Rutgers. And today I stand as a huge fan, and I love sharing my opinions about the Knight's ups and downs.

Super Sophomore
Greg Schiano declaring sophomore Steve Beauharnis the QB of the defense, replacing Kevin Malast and Ryan D'Imperio. Schiano's decision may shock some, with senior Joe Lefeged patrolling the defensive backfield. This is Beauharnis's first year as a starter, but he showed signs of poise and skill at times last year.
