Being a mma fan I’ve always wondered about the what if of some situation, like what if Gonzaga didn’t kick crocop in the face, what if serra didn’t land that right hand on gsp, what if fedor hadn’t been this reckless in werdum’s guard. You get the point,but one fighter has probably the most what if in the mma world than any and its BJ PENN.

BJ is a fighter with physicals gift that a lot of others would dream of having. His flexibility is of the chart, is chin is rock solid, his legs are like 2 arms,he almost never get cut….the list goes on .with physicals gift like that and a I’ll fight anybody anytime mentality Bj could have gone down in history has the best ever but instead I will remember him for the what if

What if he would have stay with zuffa instead of leaving after chocking and kissing the farmboy.

What if he stayed in is natural weight class of 155.

What if he wasn’t surrendered by yes man

What if he was given the decision in is first fight with Frankie (I’m a edgar fan boy and I was surprised by that decision)

What if he wasn’t so lazy.

Now I could go on for a couple of hours but you guys get my point. Now I know that mania is full of penn fan boy so I’d like to hear what you guys have to say.

2011 the year where frankie edgar became my favorite fighter

i would like to strat by saying that i am french canadian so plaese go easy on me for the spelling.

so 2011 is behind us and i will remember that year for a lot of things,jon jones incredible year,shogun vs hendo,mir breaking big nog arm but the one thing that will stay with me the most is my favorite fighter change.

being from the province of quebec i had obviously a soft spot for gsp but with is string of borig fight it was harder for me to still defend him.

then on jan 1 2011 the first ppv of the year a small guy from tom rivers changed everything for me.Dont get me wrong i always liked frankie i loved hoe he defeated bj(cry baby)penn,but is 2 fight with gray was just amazing.obviously the draw left a bitter tatse in my mouth because i taught that he had done enough to earn the victory.

fast forward to ufc 136 already pretty exiting after seeing chael sonnen dominate briann stann i was ready for the 3 fight between those 2 warrior. then halfway thru the first the same thing happened but frankie showed the world that its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog.he came back and put a exclamation point by putting gray away int the 4 round.

Now ufc 144 is one day away and im getting the same chill i use to have before gsp was set to fight bj for the rematch.i just hope that frankie keeps on going 110%like he always does and i know that even if he loses his gonna go out on is shield because that's who he is.

i want to start by saying english isnt my first language sorry if my speling isnt right.

Last saturday Yves Lavigne was assigned to the main event and Frankie Edgar should probably sent him a fruit basket ,let me explain why i think Frankie ow ms lavigne a lot.

1.if Yves lavigne stops the fight in the first round nobody complains and Frankie is no more the champion

2.after the first Frankie came back and they put in a fight of the night performence earning himself 60k

3.Dana paid him id winning bonus wich is another 51k

4.by being the champion im pretty sure is sponsor deal is much better and maybe he will get a raise from the boss

5.by the fight being so great and the comeback he made Frankie is becoming more mainstream=more $$

to conclude because Yves lavigne didnt stop the fight Frankie made at least 111kmore in salary and maybe more in the future with the recognition he got from the fight,so i hope he at least send a thank you note lavigne
