Growing up in a small town in Montana, you might wonder how I became a 49er fan, well a few things went into that. In 1st grade, my best friend was a diehard Packer fan. Those were the years when the 49ers met the Packers seemingly every year in the playoffs, so naturally, I became a 9er fan. My enthusasm for the niners only increased when I received about 10 hours of NFL Films documenting the 49er glory days for a Christmas present.

Fast forward a few years, and I was heading to Arizona to see my first 49er game. Little did I know I was about to witness the 49ers demise, as Steve Young's career was ended. I spent the rest of my childhood fairly convinced I was to blame for the curse which struck the 49ers.

After years of ridicule, they are finally coming back! And I feel it is my duty to spread the good word.

I am currently a senior in College, studying Environmental and Organismic Biology. Writing has always been a hobby of mine, as has 49er news, speculation, and conversation. It is time to combine the three, and start writing for Niner Nation!
