I a 63 y/o and have been a braves fan for 53 years. My first exposure to the braves was in 1957 when they were in Milwaulkee Wisconsin. We had no cable or internet at that time. The only vehicle to have contact was am radio. At that time I was a small boy being raised on a tobacco farm in north eastern North Carolina. Today I am retired and after being sent off during the Vietnam war have come back home after 44 years away. I am retired from the Air Force,(20 years) and civil service (20years), and now live on the same patch of land I was reised on as a boy back in 1952-1966. Getting back to the bravo's I remember the starting line up in 1957 being something like Del Crandel -C, Joe Adcock-1B, Red Shangdisc (sp)-2B, Johnny Logan-SS, Eddie Mathews-3B, Frank Thomas-LF, ??????-CF, Hank Aaron-RF. Starting Pitching, Ace-Warran Spahn, 2-Lou Burdette, 3 Johnny Sain, 4- Bob Bruhl. Sorry i can not remember the center fielders name, but do remember a rookie named Bobbie Bolan, but do not think he ws a starter, apologize for the spelling of Red's last name, but I am new to this bloging thing and actually new to the internet posting, so I don't know the ins and outs to find the proper information before posting this profile. But as time goes on I will and I will make proper changes. Look forward to sharing experiences with all you folks on SB Nation.
