Schaub Out.... for the year???
wow, the football gods are smiling upon the tennessee titans today.
"ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Schaub's injury is of the Lisfranc variety, meaning he's done for the year if it's a fracture. A Lisfranc sprain is an injury he could potentially return from before season's end, although it's probably unlikely. Matt Leinart will be under center following the Texans' Week 11 bye. Schaub will meet with a specialist later this week, and is without a timetable for a return. The injury comes right as the Texans are set to get Andre Johnson (hamstring) back following a six-week absence, and clouds the race for the top seed in the AFC. The Texans can be expected to lean on Arian Foster and Ben Tate more than ever, making Leinart a poor fill-in as a QB1. He's worth grabbing as a fantasy backup and in two quarterback leagues."

MCM Top Play of the decade
Shutdown Corner, Yahoo's Football blog did a top 10 plays of the decade, guess what was #1?
'Nuff Said
Last year, in the first six games of the season, Tennessee allowed seven touchdowns.
Yesterday, in a 36-minute span against New England, Tennessee allowed eight touchdowns.
MCM Fantasy Focus Week 4
Don't have time for the full article this week as I am away, but here is the consolidated version. With shorter explanantions to why I am making these suggestons.
Start Em'
QB - C. Palmer (vs the Browns, nuff said)
RB - G. Coffee (no real backup so will see 100% of the workload vs Rams, expect 20+ touches)
WR -Mike Sims-Walker (was 1 yard away from paydirt last week when he got hit out of bounds, faces banged up, and not very effective, titans secondary)
TE -V. Davis (looks liek the go-to-guy in SF, yeah I got two 49ers on my start em, don't laugh)
D - Bengals
Sit Em'
QB - E. Manning (giants will run the ball all day down the Chiefs throat)
RB - C. Portis (no real backup so will see 100% of the workload vs Rams, expect 20+ touches)
WR -TJ Houshmanzadeh (Should remain on fantasy benches for the time being, especially with Hasselbeck out)
TE - Z. Miller (hard to put up good #s when your QB cant throw a complete pass)
D - Jets (did not look overly impressive last week and face a tough task this week with the saints)
MCM Fantasy Football Focus - Week 3
Last weeks post had some good suggestions, and also some that did not exactly work out the way I was hoping.
If some of you took my advice to sit DeSean Jackson, it didn't take long to bite you in the ass, as Jackson took an 80 yard reception to the house in the first quarter.
Don't fret, there were also some great calls such as starting Trent Edwards, Fred Jackson and the trio suggestion at TE of Dallas Clark, Todd Heap, and Dustin Keller.
If you payed attention to the "Waiver Wire Watch" you may have picked up some gems WR's like Steve Smith, Mario Manningham, Percy Harvin, Nate Washington, Laurent Robinson.
Check out this weeks start em, sit em after the jump. Also, use the comments section to post your own fantasy dilemma's and give each other advice.
MCM Fantasy Football Focus - Week 2
This will be the first installment of a weekly piece that will appear on the site every Saturday written by yours truly. The new Fantasy Football Guru of MCM. I hope this weekly article can help some of you guys win your fantasy leagues. Keep in mind that I do accept donations.... haha, just kidding, I just want you guys to win. Check out the first instalment after the jump!
I guess Mouton is out tonight...
This is from Mouton's Facebook page at 6PM EST
"Sorry ppl we will all have to wait until next week for my official coming out party vs the texans.."
Some photos... Thought some of you may find this interesting
Types of posts like this have not really been floating around this site much, I know its very TMZ-like but some of you may be interested in seeing these links. There's not much credibility to material this site writes, but nonetheless they have done a pretty good job of scowering the social networking world to find some interesting photos of some of the characters involved in the McNair story.
This page seems to have the most photos (sometimes takes a while to load). But if you click on the top topics links on the left you can sift through a lot more.
Take it for what its worth, just wanted to share what i found.
10-Pack: Teams that made best offseason moves
3. Tennessee Titans Let Haynesworth leave.
Finally someone in the media actually looks into the situation as opposed to saying "the titans lost haynesworth, so they are going to suck."
Holt Trade with Titans Falls Through.
from rotoworld:
The Titans were reportedly on the verge of trading for Torry Holt on Thursday before the trade fell apart.
According to the National Football Post's Michael Lombardi, the deal fell through after Holt refused to restructure his contract. Appearing Friday on NFL Network, Lombardi said he suspects the Titans are still the front-runners to land Holt since they were the only team interested in trading for him.Story from National Football Post:

WR in 1st round makes immediate impact??
I realize we could have traded up a couple spots to get Sweed in the 2nd round, but here is some not so encouraging news from rotoworld.
Rookie Limas Sweed is currently running as the Steelers' fifth receiver.
He's behind Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, Nate Washington, and Dallas Baker. That's a strong statement about a rookie that many expected big things from this season. Sweed will likely be scratched on game days until (and if) he passes Baker. Not saying he wont turn out to be a good player, but looks like he is not going to make an immediate impact with anyone which is what we need. He would of definately had a better oppurtunity to move up the Depth chart in tennessee as our WRs cant catch a cold, but this little info I just read puts a smile on my face.
finnegan on front page of espn.com
this is pretty amazing. so happy for the dude.
if you can all go to www.espn.com as soon as you can to see this, if you are too late here is the link to the story.

still five words short..... TITANS!
Tommorow Nights Game
Titans fan from Canada here.
Looked at the NFL Network schedule online and they have a high school game sloted into 8 pm eastern tomorrow night (friday). WHATTT! why aren't they showing the titans game. I dont see it on their schedule all week!
anyone have any ideas on if they are actually going to show it? let me know!
thanks.
it says this post is not long enough. so i had to throw this sentence in here. sorry!
Need Some Nashville Expertice
Hey all,
Huge titans fan here from Toronto, last year saw the titans in buffalo, the year before in cleveland. This year I finally head to Nashville to see a home game!! I am going this Sunday vs. San Deigo with one of my best friends who just happens to be a chargers fan.
Flying in Saturday morning and heading out right after the game on sunday. I'm staying at Best Western downtown convention center on 711 union. Seems to be close enough to Broadway street which is where i hear all the action is. Is this a good location? can i walk to the game?
Was looking for some suggestions on restaurants in the area and also maybe some hotspots for saturday night. We're both 23 year old guys that love to drink and have some fun out on the town.
Also im gonna be in nashville all day saturday, is there anything i should see? where would be the closest place nearby that i could go to stock myself up with all sorts of titans gear that i cant get here in canada?
sorry for all the questions but im sooo excited for this been counting down the days for months and any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hope to get a few responses. GO TITANS!
good news...
NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Albert Haynesworth (hamstring) is likely to play this week.
Schefter adds that the Titans are fully expected to slap the franchise tag on Haynesworth in the offseason, rather than let him get away. It'd be an excellent move; Haynesworth would be playing for a contract again in 2008.
Love good news especially when it comes from Schefter, most reliable news in football. Except I did hate when he reported right at the beginning of the draft covereage that we were gonna take vince young... he took away the suspense. I wanted to hear it come out of the commisioners mouth.
uh oh
Titans coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that the team is looking into an apparent weekend altercation between suspended CB Pacman Jones and injured DT Albert Haynesworth
The incident allegedly took place in Nashville prior the Titans departing for Denver, though a police spokesman said no altercation was reported, but they would look into the matter. Haynesworth made the trip, but was ultimately ruled inactive, while Jones continues to serve his one-year suspension. This won't help Jones' chances of returning to the team.
titans release lavarr woods

Well here it is, one of the cases we have been waiting for now seems to be over. There will still be civil suits but that should have no effect regardless as im sure those will just be settled monetarily.
what does this mean for us?
to me i see it as that he has no criminal involvement in the vegas case, and in the eyes of the nfl this is and should be another charge pac has been let off of.
your thoughts?
Titans Fill Corey Simon's Roster Spot
Filled it with a special teams guy, LB Rich Scanlon, used to play with the Chiefs.
Linebacker but says he will be pure special teams.
I find it funny how at the beginning of the year it was so hard to cut the roster down and now we have special team specialist Rich Scanlon and Long Snapper Extrordinare Jeremy Cain.
