RAVENS SIGN STALLWORTH
Baltimore has reportedly signed Donte Stallworth to a deal. Stallworth was recently released from the Cleveland Browns after a year long suspension stemming from a drunk driving accident in which he killed a pedestrian. He was considered lucky by many for receiving only a month in jail and a few community service hours due to his great cooperation with the police. This move is a surprise to me looking through Baltimore's conservative track record on players with the tiniest blemish in their past.
I like the signing and I think it says something about our current corp of players. Hopefully, Ozzie wants to get the ball rolling and realizes we are only a few pieces away from a great team. I hope he has finally grown a pair and is ready to take this team to the next level. Tell me what you think

Hue Jackson to the Raiders
Don't know how important he was to the Ravens or Flacco's progression but it is another void that the Ravens must address. Somewhat interesting that he would leave the Ravens to be the offensive coordinator for one of the most troubled franchises in the NFL that seems to have no sense of direction. I wish him the best of luck in the future.
I have also heard rumors of Greg Mattison retiring and I am wondering if there is any validity behind that rumor?
Oher Vs. Allen
I feel Oher has made a great push to be offensive rookie of the year with his play throughout the season. It is not often that a rookie lineman can be thrown into a starting position let alone as left tackle by week 5. He has always proven everyone wrong and continues to each week in the nfl. The man went up against one of the best defensive players if not the best defensive player in the nfl sunday and for the most part, shut him down. Minus a few miscues due to the noisy stadium and a sack, I believe Oher was one of the shining stars for the ravens yesterday. The guy has a bright future and I am sure we all can not wait to see what else he can accomplish.
Interesting little battle going on between the two today if anyone was interested as well. Keep your heads up baltimore fans. For a second year quarterback with a second year running back and a rookie left tackle, I think it says a lot that we have been competitive in all of our games. It takes time to build a franchise and we are taking all of the possible steps we can to move in that direction. We have some weaknesses but we will bring it together and I would not count us out yet.

oh skins....
Sooooo tonight, I was at a party with a couple redskins fans. This was a total invitation to an instant argument. The night was going well until we began to talk about football. Then they started talking about how much better the redskins were than the ravens. The argument got heated and the redskin fan said that sean taylor was better than ed reed will ever be. I simply laughed and he continued to argue. Shortly after, another Redskin fan came to join the argument and he sided with ME. HAHA. redskin fans are terrible. (great loyalty) The redskin fan continued to argue by saying that the redskins have more super bowls than us although we have only been around since 1996 and I once against just laughed at them. We have only been around for almost ten seasons and already have a superbowl. And it feels like we consistently finish better than them each season with our record and head to head. This may be a stupid argument but i just want to say that i hate the redskins and their stupid and ignorant fans. No matter how hard Dan Synder and their team tries, they will never contend with the team from Baltimore. They are a horrible team that does not know how to build through the draft or contend in the "hardest division" in the nfc. They will bitch and moan about how hard their division although we went three and four against their division. They are nothing compared to us and never will be. Joe Flacco was a better quarterback in high school than any redskin quartberack ever will be. This is just a post about the redskins and how bad they are compared to baltimore. I cannot wait until next year when everyone sees how great of a team we really are.
Plaxico as a Raven?
Plaxico was released earlier today by the New York Giants and is currently on the free agent market. Although we do not know how is court case will play out, he is considered valuable by many teams. WIth the Ravens looking for that Tall, fast, deep threat, that we have never had, he could be an excellent fit. In my opinion Plaxico would look great in a Ravens uniform and a target like that would do wonders for Flacco and the rest of the offense. Clayton and Mason would thrive with Plaxico on the team and our offense would be such a dynamic threat. A receiver of his magnitude would put the Ravens in the driver's seat in the AFC North and the rest of the AFC. I have no idea if Ozzie would even have interest in Plaxico but it is a fun possibility to imagine. What do you guy think about Plaxico being a Raven next year?
Tavares Gooden..The next great Ravens linebacker?
Although Bart Scott has left the Ravens, I completely agree with everyone else on the the Beatdown that his shoes will be easy to fill. I would really like to see the young linebacker out of The U step up and fit right into the system nicely. Im sure Ray has taken him under his wing and has been showing him the ins and outs of playing linebacker in an organization that consistently produces all pro linebackers. However, I do not know much about him or his college career. I feel like Tavares Gooden has great potential and I am excited to see what he has to bring to the Ravens next year. I have faith in Ozzie but do you all feel that he is the man to play next to Ray or should we go after a linebacker in the draft?
Next Week
I cannot say enough about Baltimore today. It has been nothing short of amazing witnessing each down this season. The way everyone steps up on the team is truly special. How each player plays for his teamate and not themselves. With the exception of maybe Willis. Players have surprised us each week with their consistancy and great play. Leonard, Washington, Flacco, etc.. the list goes on and on. John Harbaugh has been great this year and brings out the competitive attitude we needed in Baltimore. That decision to challenge the catch in the first half was something that saved us three points. He is a great coach and I think everyone in Baltimore all know who the real coach of the year should be as well as the real rookie of the year. It doesnt matter what gets thrown in our way, such as the injuries, the long stetch without a break, the short week, the rookie quarterback, the "Experts" who doubt us, The Ravens show up each week as a team ready for battle. No body could have called the type of season Baltimore has experienced. Even our own Shannon Sharpe picked the Titans before the game. It really doesnt matter who believes in us as long as we keep winning.
Im not sure who I would rather play next week. Each possible opponent has something different about them. Ending the Steeler's Season and moving onto the Super Bowl would be phenomenal. I think we can go into Heinz Field and get the job done. It would also be intriguing to go out to the warm west coast like we did in our super bowl year and play the chargers. I dont know who is best for Baltimore to play or who to cheer for tomorrow. Who would you rather Baltimore play next week?
Joe Flacco's Progession
Does anyone remember Flacco's first preseason game against New England and how terrible and nervous he looked. It is amazing at how much and how quick he has progressed. He is a stud and it is exciting to see baltimore finally have the amazing quarterback they deserve. He has brought something dynamic to the ravens offense that has been missing for years. Lets hope he can get it done in the playoffs the way he has all season
