Card Chronicle WV: the hottest team in the Big East?

From an article titiled “Upsets spark doubt, but won’t alter No. 1 seeds” by Ken Davis on MSNBC.com:

“Give an enormous amount of credit to West Virginia. Bob Huggins coached a superb game and the Mountaineers suddenly are the hottest team in nation’s toughest conference.”

Another article I saw on ESPN.com claimed that West Virginia was suddenly the hottest team in the Big East, having won 4 of their last 5.

Hmmm… who was that one loss to?

I don’t think I’m being a conspiracy nut by saying we are not getting the respect we deserve from the national media.

Fact is, UofL has won eight in a row including that one that West Virginia would like to forget about on their home floor.

This, coupled with endless comments from sports analysts about how UofL can SNEAK into a number one seed in the NCAA tournament, has me feeling a little overlooked (and yes, my fandom makes me talk like I’m on the team).

Card Chronicle Samardo at PF next year?

since TJ has been playing so well, do you think Rick might consider having Samardo and TJ on the floor together next year?  Goode could be in for TJ when he needs a blow and hopefully Buckles will be good enough to sub for SamSam.

that would mean

1.  sosa/siva

2.  knowles/smith

3.  delk/kuric/swopshire

4.  samuels/buckles

5.  jennings/goode

looks good on paper, anyway.   i dont think it looks as good as this year but still, it's good.
